Beautiful park area with great amount of Naval history. The landscape is clean, green and scenic. Perfect place to have a date, family picnic, great playground area, alot of fee parking space and all restaurants are within the liberty station complex so you can take a walk and eat nearby. I highly recommend bringing your pets here too. Fair amount of shade and very peaceful. The only downside is the airplane engines above you given the close proximity of the airport. Some road traffic can be heard as well. You can ride your bikes, skateboards, roller blades or go fun a run.

Great place to relax! The park is large and peaceful and the waterway is relaxing and you can watch the paddle boarders, and many have of their dogs with them. If you like to watch planes overhead this is also a nice spot. Plenty of shade in the park and a restroom thats open. Plus you can walk to all the shops at Liberty Station

What a nice park and place to eat. Coming from L.A. the 1st thing you notice is how clean it is. Families pursuing activities at night. I saw a family and small kids canoeing at night, riding bikes, walking. Came back this weekend to hang out and eat at Stone Brewery. Really chill. They allow dogs outside. The market has lots of food, dessert choices. No dogs in there so we handed off pups to check it out in turns. Nice lawns and a great place to walk. Still have not experienced the waters edge part of the park closest to the ocean. Theres a pedestrian bridge there. Next trip. My parents had a good time too. Across the street in the Hole in the Wall bar where my friends are doing the food. 15 dollar drink pitchers! I guess thats a separate review, lol.

Been waking in this park and playing basketball for over three years now. Almost every day. Son shoots and dribble for an hour every day before school. And after that I usually take a two mile walk to get my day started. Great place. Clean and grass is green. They do a pretty good job of keeping the homeless out of the restrooms so it’s safe for the family and kids.

Chill spot to ride a bike, a paddle board or fly a kite. Bring Fido and take a nice, long walk. This place sits just west of the airport so expect some noise. Youre walking distance to great spots to eat. Careful if you like to be barefoot, in grass or on the beach.

If you havent visited here you are missing out. The absolute only possible downside is its off the end of the runway at San Diego Airport but, thats not a real bad thing. First its a beautiful park next to Liberty Station which is a great place in itself. Second if you walk down by the water its so nice. Beautiful path, lots of wildlife like birds and ducks and ground squirrels. Also nice butterfly and plants. The water is clear and calm. you can relax in a chair and kids like to play on the shore. When youre through you can head over to a variety of shops for food and drink. Also, some history here and lots of plaques showing various Navy ships and their history. The area is kept clean and neat. Very nice place to take the kids or grandkids or just go for a lovely walk.

NTC Park is definitely one of our familys favorite parks to visit. It has amazing views plus it is walking distance or a very short drive to the many Liberty Station restaurants. For the kiddos the park offers plenty of equipment to play on and lots of grass to run around and drain those bottomless pots of energy. Bring a kite or a blanket for a little picnic. Or load up the bikes so the family can utilize the many sidewalks and paths for a fun outing.

Everytime my family & I with our family member dog Rocco go for a walking exercise at the Liberty Station Park formerly Naval Training Center we all feel relaxed to its peaceful surroundings & gentle cool breeze. Rocco also loves that park.I sometimes feed the seagulls, crows, pigeons, and the street little birds with peanuts & bread crumbs. Because of the ongoing covid-19; people including myself & my husband are with facial mask on for safety & virus protection. It would be a lot better to frequent the park when the pandemic is permanently over and totally gone!

Liberty Station is a repurposed military base. Now, its a beautiful park with lots to do. There are theaters, museums, beautifully manicured gardens, wide open grassy areas, picnic areas, benches, jogging paths, memorials, and shops. Its by the water and very scenic. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes to satisfy every palate, and also a farmers market on occasion. As s an added bonus, its great for plane watchers, as its located just after the runway, used for takeoffs, for San Diego International Airport.

Nice, large, dog (on a leash) & family friendly park; soccer practices are held here as well as community events for the major holidays. For example Easter egg hunts in the spring.Note: would have rated 5 stars but the very far east end of the park, specifically the dirt paths that start along the waters edge at Chauncey & Cushing, have a very desolate and abandoned feel to them; my son and I just yesterday observed broken bottles in what looked like a spot claimed by a homeless person.Word of advice, this only applies to the aforementioned location, stay on the sidewalks and off of the dirt paths just to be safe.Almost forgot, there is a thriving squirrel population along the waters edge. :-)

Great park area with plenty of places to walk to and from as well as adjacent dining, retail and other businesses. Apple parking throughout liberty station for the parks as well as all the other stuff to see and do. Some great historical markers, memorial markers, and great pieces of military history. The area is well maintained with constant landscaping and maintenance work being completed. On leash dog friendly however without a leash you run the risk of getting ticketed fairly quickly.

Liberty Station is a great place! Prior to Liberty Station being what it is, my father attended boot camp some ages ago at the same location. Sunday me, the San Diego Supreme Turtles (SDST), and so many affected by suicide walked to support preventing those taking a moment in a negative setting and not having support. There are people that have great hearts and everyone who walked was in great spirits. The day started with our people meeting up and carpooling to the event {Liberty Station} #outofthedarkness showed up and showed out. Registration-check, sticker-check, free coffee [Starbucks], free water, free granola bars and tons of free info and gifts for dogs too. #outofthedarkness raised more than $10,000 within 48 hours. There were shirts made in memory of loved ones. There were poster signs made with photos and a gesture of that loved one posted on the path of the walk. We had bubbles, a drumline that was awesome. I did one lap with a healing sprained ankle. Lots of ice afterwards. I have enjoyed my birthday weekend. Next big event outing will be ice skating. I do remember 13 years ago, walking to the farmers market to get fresh flowers and some new mixed types of fruits and some once upon a time treasure that I still have. Hope you like the photos its not much but we enjoyed ourselves!

So far so good- everything you can picture from an outside glimpse- plenty of areas to settle in, cook, enjoy family time, play.... However No Power Outlets --- I dont get it San Diego--- so far all your public parks fail to provide basic power for a groups individual needs--- everyone in the world has a cell phone- obviously needs charged- music- lights- a fan- any number of items could be utilized by the tax payers in their park--- the lamps have intentionally been capped instead of a lock box applied--- never seen anywhere like it-- and Ive yet to walk into the bathrooms here... Other parks are institutionally inspired... Not sure why... But no doors on the sitters-- smh

This is a lovely, wide open, and dog friendly park (dogs must be on leashes at all times). Large grass area that is pretty well maintained but the is crab grass EVERYWHERE! I feel like im going to twist my ankle when I run on the grass. There are homeless people who reside in the area as well. There are 2 adjacent kids parks. 1 is a little more advanced than the other for older kids. Its proximity to the strip mall at liberty station is very convenient.
