My kids loved Th3 Cod3 room. My son is 6 and was scared at first, the staff helped explain its not scary at all. My 11 and 12 year ran most of it, I helped too great team building for my family.

Reggie was awesome and we really appreciated him! He was professional, kind, and funny. Great experience. We did The Code. Had a great time. It took us 51 minutes and 1 second. 3 of us had been had been to the Escapology in Vegas before during vacation so we decided to do a room here at Escapology San Diego for this vacation.

Had so much fun. Ask for Augustus! Me and my sister went twice and had so much fun. Augustus was our game master and I honestly would just go back to even visit him. Love the atmosphere and can definitely say it was my favorite experience in California!!

Family fun !! great place to have a good time with friends and family. this place is very well organized, the staff is very helpful and friendly. the games are fun, each game is 1hr but plan to be there for 1.5 to 2 hrs total. its right next to Belmont park, so parking can be little tricky on weekends. they also have 2 reserves parking spots for customers who booked in advance. highly recommend to book a private room if you have 3+ persons in your group.

Ive been here twice and our group did The Code and Budapest Express. Both rooms were really fun and well themed. We got out of The Code pretty fast (maybe 23 minutes..) but the Budapest Express took us 37 minutes! Fun environment and if you book a birthday party you can save some money and get free coupons for food and Dole Whip!

I love escapeology! This location only has 3 rooms, but Ive heard they are getting a new oneI cannot wait.

Staff here is really amazing! They were fun and interactive in helping us get a reservation and then checked in on our day of. Its a fun spot, did the hacker room, room was really well done to the theme. Have not done too many, but was definitely my favorite. They have parking right out front of the coaster in Belmont Park so it makes it easy to get to.

The folks were very nice, and the Antidote challenge was a ton of fun!

Augustus, the game master, was a real peach and really helped us feel comfortable with the room. The sounds that came from the timer really heightened the tension of the game. Pretty standard escape room experience. Weve done a lot of rooms at different businesses. Escapology ranks in the middle. The gamemaster Oscar was friendly and did a nice job. The room had no glitches. We chose their easiest rated room because half of our group were first timers. I wish we chosen a harder room, it was one of the easiest rooms we completed. We had 32 minutes left on the clock. Our new players felt very victorious, however I missed the rush of fighting the clock. Still a good time.

Amazing! By far the best escape room in San Diego. When we visited, we had booked online, and just walked right in, where the game masters greeted us and were very friendly. they suggested that we use the bathroom before we went in, which is important when doing an escape room. Escapology doesnt have its own bathrooms though, but Belmont Park next door has some good ones, which isnt very far. Escapology has a nice waiting room with couches and some brain puzzles. Also, even though they say you can do a walk-in escape, that isnt very likely because they get booked early, so its better to book online or on the phone at least 5 hours before you plan on escaping. Once you get in, you are sent into a room where you are briefed on the escape and then you are put in the room. You are allowed to bring water bottles into the room with you, but they give a bucket for anything else, like cell phones and wallets. All electronics are not allowed to be used during the one hour you have to escape, or you will be penalized. No photographs, nothing. In the room, you get three free clues to use in the middle of the escape by just waving your arms and asking for a clue (they have cameras and microphones in the room). Each clue after those 3 free clues removes two minutes from your time. Occasionally, the game master will be nice and give you some hints. The experience was excellent and I highly recommend it.

We tried Th3 C0d3 in a group of 4 players. The puzzles were a bit linear leaving some players out to keep searching for solutions. Small groups (2 or 3 players) should have no trouble here. The game room(s) was well decorated and had believable atmosphere. It did feel like you were in an apartment (albeit tiny apartment). I would give this room 3 of 5 stars. I would like to give it more but it is an introductory room and not meant to be the most challenging. Everyone had a good time and we were looking forward to trying another room at this location. Looking forward to Budapest Express!

Has a great time at Escapology. The Budapest Express puzzle was challenging but solveable (our host said a ~38% escape rate), and the staff were very friendly. This was my second trip to an escape room, and Id definitely recommend Escapology to a friend. Check their website to see different plots to solve, and the difficulty levels of each room.

Looking for a way to entertain 20somethings on a family vacation is always a challenge, but I hit the jackpot with Escapology!! Our gamester, Oscar, was so helpful and enthusiastic for us, since this was our first time attempting an escape room. The time flew by and everyone had a blast! The puzzles and clues require a good bit of teamwork. After we finished the kids all wanted to come back and do it again! Spent the next hour at the hotel bar reliving the game! Classiest part of Escapology, the group photo taken at the end of the game was emailed to us AT NO CHARGE!! When does that ever happen that youre not soaked for every last dime!?Well definitely share with others headed to the area to try it out!

Very friendly and professional staff. The building had a cool vibe and the room/escape we chose (Budapest Express) was fantastic. Very hard puzzles and lots of fun. Decoration and props for the period were spot-on. My entire family ages 40 down to 10 had a great time.

My boyfriend and I visited on vacation and asked for a game recommendation. The girl that helped us was super nice and friendly and recommended the middle game. Not to easy but super fun and exciting! We escaped with time to spare and had a blast! Would definitely come back if in the area again!

Great experience, first time taking one of these challenges. Ended up doing the medium level, for a group of novist we did pretty well. Missed the escape on a minor bit the experience was well worth it.

Great experience! It was my first escape room with the same for the other 5 members of my group. Unsuspecting a challenge, we choose the hardest room. Lets just say it was stressful. However, we escaped with over 5 minutes left! The only downside was that we were waiting for a while. Our room was suppose to start at 2 :20 and to be there at 2:10 but we were waiting for over 10 minutes past 2:20 to actually watch the video and finally get into the room. That was the only downside. Other than that, lots of fun and definitely reccomend. I loved the decorations and the theme!

I took my two boys (14 and 11) with a cousin 15y and the three loved the experience and wished to go back again to try another room. So much fun

Five big stars to the team Escapology on Mission Beach in San Diego! First class establishment from start to finish. We did the code room, and let me tell you, they did it up right! It was fun, thrilling, nerve wracking, challenging all at the same time; a truly unique experience! I would recommend this to any small group or family that wants to live a real life movie! Im not going to say much about the actual room itself, but suffice it to say, the hour just FLEW by and we were thrilled for every minute of it. I highly recommend that you visit this place at least once in your life: I guarantee its not the same old thing, and well worth the money! Thanks, guys, you made our day, we will see you again!

Great family fun... I was critical at 1st and once we got going. BLAST! I would recommend this to adults. Or familys with kids say 8yrs an up (depending on child).Call in advance its by appointment only or booking at location then go enjoy the boardwalk while youre waiting.Funny cause you only have an hour to figure it all out and when we got close with 20 min left I was trying to slow the family down.

I had the BEST time at Escapology with my team from work. We split up into 3 groups so that we were able to experience all 3 games, and it was such a blast hearing about everyones experience!! We escaped with literally less than 5 seconds left on the clock - what a thrill! I would recommend this to anyone looking to do something fun and different, whether it be a group thing or a date night. I cant WAIT to go back and play the other two rooms. :)

This was so much more fun and challenging than I expected! I went with co-workers and we had an awesome time working together to figure out the clues! The rooms and lobby area are beautifully decorated- you can tell that a lot of thought went into every detail. I would definetly recommend this for a party, work event or date.

I have always wanted to do something like this and was so excited to see that Escapology came to San Diego! The props and decorations really made each room come to life. I would absolutely recommend going to Escapology for a fun night out, team building for work, or even a Birthday party!

We took the entire team to Escapology San Diego last Friday....all 12 of us! We had never heard of escape rooms before but heck we wanted to test it out! We all left riveted!!! It was such a unique experience...I literally talked about it all weekend! I am not big on reviews...but I felt compelled to let whoever is reading this know...you wont be disappointed! IT IS FREAKING AWESOME!!!!

We tried the medium difficulty room as a family and had a great time. It was really different doing an escape in person and we learned that we have to be more observant of every detail and take our time not to miss clues. I look forward to attempting another escape!

Loved this -challenging for adults and kids but my 9 year old said it was the best activity of his life!

Our group has done 20+ Escape Rooms throughout So Cal and booked two back-to-back rooms using a Groupon Special (Save up to 31% by purchasing Groupon voucher for 2 to 6 people). We were successful 1 out of our 2 escape rooms. A huge disappointment as we were on our last task when time expired on our first escape room COD3, but managed to successfully escape on our second room Antidote. Despite our inability to escape on one of our rooms, it did not take away from the fun factor of our experience. The mistakes we made were self imposed ego driven and had we not deviated from the typical way we strategize our gameplay, it would have been escaped like most of our other successfully completed rooms. Our Game Master was Oscar and he was awesome! They offer three different rooms, and we want to return to do their Budapest Express escape room (which, were told is their most difficult one available). Prices are reasonable, theyre great if you redeem a Groupon special! Staff was awesome! No restroom at the business, so you have to go through the Belmont Amusement Arcade and head left to use a common restroom located about a minute or two in walking time. Parking was readily available during our visit, but it is Belmont Park right next to the Big Dipper roller coaster off of Mission Blvd and Ventura Place. If you came during a peak beach day, parking may prove to be very difficult. The lobby has ample seating and is well kept. Their escape rooms werent run down or unkept. All in all, we loved our experience there and are anxious to do their most difficult room the next chance we get.

Oustanding experience. Oscar was our game master, he was enthusiastic and made the whole experience one we want to experience again! This was the first time my family and I have done an escape room and we had so much fun we will definitly be coming back to this again. Very high quality escape rooms - 3 to choose from with ranging difficulties. The presentation is as good as any, while the puzzles and riddles require intuitive, multidimensional problem-solving skills, all requiring some form of cooperation with your teammates.

This escape room is really cool! We took the Budapest Express room. Higher level of difficulty, but really smart puzzles. Wouldnt recommend this room for 2 people, only for larger groups!

This place has smaller group size rooms which we enjoyed so that strangers dont finish the room for us.

Arrived at this place at 7:40pm, asked the woman at the desk some questions and peeked in the rooms. Asked when they closed, the woman said the last session starts at 9pm. We told her we would be back shortly after we ate. Got back at 8:00, doors were closed and locked. We knocked, a man opened and said we are closed with no other explanation, and shut the door again. Very disappointed, will not be returning. Im glad there are other escape rooms in San Diego.

My group of six did, TH3 COD3, and the difficulty was medium-level, but it was still very hard! We escaped with four minutes to spare, and it was one of the most fun experiences Ive ever had in my life!

Way more fun than I thought it would be, definitely want to go back and do all the rooms!

I was apprehensive about how much fun this could actually be, but was blown away by the entire experience. Between the storylines, staff and execution of the games, I truly think this is something every group or organization should do, for a challenging experience that brings team bonding to a whole new level.
