Just came here today for Brunch and had a great experience. Many places in San Diego are not abiding by social distancing requirements and I was pleased to see Mavericks creating a very safe environment. They require face masks to get in and walk around. You may remove the face masks when seated at your table. Temperature checks and ID checks happen at the door. The tables were very clearly spaced more than 6 feet apart and all workers were wearing masks. They have TONS of outdoor space as well as indoor tables. If you order alcohol, you are required to order a food dish as well. They are limiting tables to 90 minutes.The weekend Breakfast/Brunch was extended for the holiday. It included $10 Bottles of Champagne and Rose which comes with a selection of Mimosa Juices!The food was very affordable. We got 2 coffees, a bottle of Brut w/ orange juice, avocado toast, and an acai bowl for $41!! The food and drinks were not amazing, but it definitely satisfied us. The vibes were great with lots of music and happy employees. I have never been here pre covid, but I could imagine this as a super fun place to go out.

Closing the night out! The route: El Perez for Comedy, Shore Club for a white claw slushy, Tavern for some ratchet music, and closing the night out at Mavericks as its the only place still popping on a Wednesday night.Im giving this a 5 because they truly are one of the nicest spots in PB. They have many areas for drinks, the bar tenders hustle, they have two separate dancing areas, and they are always busy so you are guaranteed to strike up a few good conversations. Only down side is they do have lines on the weekends, but its because everyone wants to be where the best music, venue, ladies, and drinks are!

Super cool and spacious place to be at to enjoy the sports game. The tables are separated from others and have plenty of room. Definitely a cool vibe and set up.

Mavericks was pretty much the go-to place for: food, drinks, sports, ppl watching and excelled in each area.For that reason, there was usually a line. Never too serious.Any of the food we tried was good. They had plenty of TVs to watch any game that might be on.There was a blue vodka frozen slushy drink, definitely need to try that.

Great atmosphere. Brunch on the weekends is great too! Doing a good job of making things working during Covid-19. Definitely will be back.

We came for Taco Tuesday. The tacos were pretty good, the drinks were not. We had Margaritas and they were soooo salty. Service was also pretty slow, but friendly.

I went to celebrate and I had a tequila shot, I’ve had many in the past, this one in particular just made me sick and had to you know throw up... The waitress was very nice at the beginning but followed me into the bathroom and OPENED MY BATHROOM STALL, invading my privacy! And told me and my party that we had to leave. Then complained that we left her no tip??? If there was limit of shots that customers were allowed to drink I wasn’t made aware of. If you like to have fun DO NOT GO HERE. They don’t care about their customers.

This place is really cool! Chill vibe, fun games, lovely outdoor space, great deals... what’s not to love?? I came here for Taco Tuesday and got the $10 AYCE taco bar special and a $4 margarita. The tacos are way better than I expected and you get a lot of food for $10! The margarita was good (love the tajin rim) but wasn’t that strong. Their $4 well drinks are much stronger. They also had $4 tequila shots so you know ya girl got one of those too (no regrets). And as a bonus, they’re dog friendly! I’d love to come back here and try more soon.

Place looks nice I’ll give it that, be prepared to be bled to death with the drink prices. $15 to $30 per drink. No specials at all on anything, not worth going during these times. You will have to stay put like a child sitting at the dinner table and spend a small fortune if you decide you want to have more than 3 drinks. Not worth it.

Had a great time, were all getting through this pandemic together and their staff took care of demonstrating that they care about it and followed guidelines

If it’s only females in your group be prepared to be ignored by the waitresses; get your own drinks at the bar. couldnt help but notice the tables with men were being thoroughly checked on. Not a single time did the waitress came to check on us (2 females). We stayed for 3 drinks, cool ambiance, I just wouldn’t go back or recommend based on my personal experience.

This was a nice little place to get some food and have a few drinks with some friends. The only real problem I had with this place was the table was a little small and when they gave us the food it took up a lot of space. The food and drinks were great and the staff was very friendly and try to accommodate us the best they could. They were going to move us to a bigger table but we just moved all our stuff into one little tray and ate it off of one tray instead of having multiple trays. In this time of covid-19 little breath of fresh air to be able to go out and have a couple drinks.

I was here last Friday with my girlfriend and we were seated in the outdoor area that used to be where the parking lot was. The sun went down and my girlfriend started to get cold. There was one of those heater things next to another table that no one was using. I kindly asked the bouncer who was standing next to it if we could move it next to our table to warm us up. He said they aren’t allowed to move them. It didn’t make much sense since they are clearly mobile heaters and no one was even sitting at the table where it was. He proceeded to sit there next to the heater for the next 15 minutes. He was in shorts and a t-shirt so I think he was cold also and didn’t want us to have the heater because he was using it. Unbelievable!

Mavericks is a Pacific Beach staple. It’s a more upscale and less rowdy spot. Sunday’s are the best days here. Mavericks has 2 floors with 2 different outdoor areas. Plenty of TVs for sports and 5 bars around the venue so getting drinks is never a hassle.The food here is surprisingly delicious. Mavericks always has a great atmosphere and never disappoints. Plus, it’s dog friendly!

MmMmM! I get cravings for their couscous (not too dry, not too soggy), and the dibi (if my memory suits me right) is mucho flavorful!

The security says we cant socialize with other parties but a girl in a swim suit talks and giggles with the security with the black braid and he lets her go socialize.... with another person different from her party. Then back to her own table so why should we listen to the rules. And my food order never showed up

Me and my boyfriend traveled to San Diego for a mini vacation and my birthday. Our waiter didn’t care at all, looked like he didn’t even wanna be there. But the table next to us he was very bubbly and happy. The drinks he made was watered down. The chips guacamole and salsa we ordered was blan. No seasoning at all I even ask for salt they had no salt, I asked for lime they didn’t have no lime. They didn’t have nun actually, there was only four items on the menu to choose from. Way over priced for two drinks and 1 appetizer. Never going back again, McDonald’s would’ve been more satisfying

Mavericks has raised the bar in PB. Went there today to see how the re-opening was going. Had a taco and it was outstanding. Krrista is a good ambassador/host. Hope to see the bars fully functional soon.

Very poor customer service starting at the entrance. There’s many better options around the area.

Spacious bar with a lot of seating. Not a lot of shaded spots and if so those get taken pretty quickly. The wait staff was a bit slow, but we came on a Saturday for football so I guess its understandable. I got a bowl and it was really good. As a PSU alumni great place to watch the game as well.

I went to an event on a Sunday evening and it was very well organized. They have a big outdoor area but do not worry about the cold weather since they have heaters around to keep you warm. I think they have 4 bars where you have a great variety of drinks. Great place to have fun with friends. I recommend having the Pomegranate Mojito

This place is huge. Great for weekend partying by the beach. When its not as busy they contain the area to 1 or 2 bars to make it feel not as spread out. All staff has been pretty cool.

Sweet bar just in-land from the ocean. Very spacious with multiple rooms and bars. Plenty of outdoor space. The bartender we had was amazing. He was attentive, super fun to talk to, and pretty funny. Made my long island perfectly. Was very encouraging of me taking some shots, thats a good bartender!

Fun place but I feel like the drinks here are about $1 more expensive than any other bar in the area. Also the line gets ridiculous at times. We waited 20 minutes one time and it wasn’t even very crowded once we got inside.

A blast so many bars to choose from alot of floor to dance n great drinks but look at Ive $20 a drink so better pregame then spend over $100 for 5 drink isnt worth it to me. Fun one time never again going back.

Went there for breakfast with the wife. The burrito was huge and very good. We sat at the bar and the service was fantastic. The bar tender was very prompt and checked in with us often. Seriously, the burrito was huge. Bring your appetite.

Awesome ambience all evening.. enjoy out on the patio bar around 9-10pm, or dance to your hearts content around midnight in the inner club. Goof affordable alcohol and nice music to drink and dance.

This is one of the worst places I have ever seen. I would recommend any bar besides this place in pacific beach.

I went here when my son was visiting. We showed up on a Sunday afternoon between NFL games and good thing; because it got busy fast while we were sitting there. The place is huge! Indoor spaces, outdoor spaces, multiple bars and countless TVs with the game on.Staff was well training and kept service levels up; security had a good handle on the place.Fun place!

Super fun night out in Pacific Beach. Ill absolutely go back. Cover charge was kind of wack, but the place was really great.

I always have a good time here, be sure to come through here at some point, its a must! If youre looking to meet everyone in PB stay between 10-12. The whole of PB comes to Mavericks at one point in the night.

First off, the food is amazing. Great portions, great flavor as well. Come back at night and enjoy the music & atmosphere. Lots of people watching, along with great music & friendly attentive bartenders. This is clearly a fantastically run establishment by management.

This place is popular w the 20 somethings since it is in the beach. It has an open area w lots of tables and couches. Drink specials are pretty good during happy hour. At night there is a ridiculous line just to get in the door then another line to get a drink. Food is not bad but nothing extra special. It’s a local hangout for the younger crowd to get hammered and find a hookup

Never been to watch a hoops game. It was awesome. Sweet seats on the couch, next to the fireplace. Considering how busy it got, service was great and food was yummy. Thx Mavs, we ll be back soon.

Only thing I really enjoy here is the food. I constantly try and call to order it to go and NO ONE EVEE ANSWERS!! I’ve gotten through maybe twice of the 15+ times I’ve wanted to order food. Ridiculous ifyou ask me. Don’t have a phone number if you don’t know how to answer a phone. I can only imagine how much money they’re missing out on by not answering customers calls.

Okay so I really like Mavericks. The food can take a while to be delivered if the kitchen is backed up. Its PB. My favorite is the buffalo chicken fries. The brunch mimosa has a range of juices. I think the champagne is $10 a bottle. Highly recommend Sunday brunch here.

Nice staff fun night

Mavericks is the most overrated bar in PB. The last time we came her our food had hair in it and our beers were flat. When we asked if we could get new food and beers our server scoffed at us. When it came to the bill she complained about splitting the bill up. This place sucks.

Its pretty good, but the post pandemic bar scene is lacking

Mavs is a hot spot to check out if you are in Pacific Beach. It is mostly an outdoor venue with a young vibe. Boasting three bars its never to hard to get a drink or some food. The lower level hosts giant connect 4, corn hole, and Janga. The upper level has lots of high tops, a few couches, and a fireplace. Mavs is Dog friendly, I highly recommend to check it out.

Best club to hangout with friends in weekends. No coverage fee . Reasonable cost for drinks . Healthy environment. Remember no food will be served after 10pm .

Great wings, wonderful acai bowls, excellent salads & burrito bowls.

A run down place for the yonger drinking crowd. Is ok for watching ball games with friends. There is reasonable priced average food. There is parking available, but was closed for repair during my visit. You will like this place if you are a college kid, otherwise you will feel out of place.

Went during their happy hour, drinks were decent price and food was pretty good. Bartender was kinda slow getting around to us but that was mostly because she was working by herself. Overall the experience was good and would definitely go again.

Probably the most modern bar in Pacific Beach which is nice to have for a change. Feels a bit more upscale than other bars in the area. Fun spot to go with my girlfriends for a few drinks and apps.

This place is really open style bar with a big outdoor space and small covered areas on the sides. Its got multiple bars so your options are quick wherever you sit.

Cool place to hang out and the tacos on Tuesdays is the best deal in PB. However they can decide to charge cover whenever they want which is irritating. 8pm is still early and my group wasnt expecting to pay cover. Ive been there on days when they dont charge cover til 10pm. I wish cover was a set time not depending on how busy they are

This place attracts a trendy young crowd, its a great place to chill with friends and meet new people. The prices are fair and the facilities are great.

Walked up to the entrance and felt disrespected the moment my friends and I walked up to support the establishment. The security was on a power trip and didn’t want the money my friends and I wanted to spend and was clearly had an issue with women having a good time!! Never will encourage anyone to go there, completely offended by such a disrespectful man and will never support Mavericks the rest of my life!!

Wait in line to pay to get in. Wait in line for drinks. Wait in line to use the restroom. Wait in line to dance. If you like waiting in lines this place is great. Otherwise pass. Also, the club makes napkins fall from the sky... To clean up the floor? Not sure... but it was a sticky mess and stuck to my shoes. Also, smelled like vomit.

Great location near the pier and beach. Lots of different sections so you can have a choose-your-adventure style experience. Sports bar section, patio section, beachy bar section, and outdoor live entertainment stage too

Great atmosphere, cool space. Food was ok. Got the loaded avocado toast and while the ingredients were good, it wasnt good as a whole. Served cold, would have preferred room temp. Thick bread, would have preferred toast. And very blame. Needed Creole seasoning and hot sauce

Very trendy and very expensive and not a great place to meet single people because everyone is super young. Millenials hangout dance club and basic DJ with 1 speaker playing a tape of top 40. No talent.

I was going to give this place a 5 star because we had such a great experience Sunday watching a Chiefs game and drinking mimosas but when we went back today the security guard was so rude we left. We are from Kansas City and today was our last day in San Diego and we were excited to come back one more time before we headed home. I had my tiny backpack Ive been carrying the whole trip and there was a small bag of Cheezits and the security guard asked to look in my bag told me no food was allowed and I honestly didnt even know what he was talking about until I realized he was talking about the Cheezits. I told him go ahead and take it and he said you can throw it away in the trashcan over there. My boyfriend was so irritated he said we will go to the bar nextdoor so they got our money today. Maybe they should teach their security guards a little common sense before they lose any other customers, I wasnt trying to sneak alcohol or a meal in. The service Sunday was phenomenal and the bartender John was amazing. Sad one rude person can ruin your experience with the whole establishment

Came for the first time has we where walking past so decided to call in looks busy and vibrant. I agree with the comments about the door staff that they could use some customer service training. The waitress who served was very nice and friendly the food was amazing.will definitely be back.

The bartenders are not the brightest. They argue with you when they dont know how to make a drink. Ive also been kicked out multiple times after one beer because the bartender says Ive had to many drinks. They kicked me out as they were waking up a man that was passed out at the bar next to me and simply told him no sleeping. Security seems to be nice at least. I will never be attending this place again as I always seem to leave there feeling like my race had something to do with my treatment. Could be wrong but literally have no other ideas.

There was an extremely, rude disrespectful security person at the front. It was not apparent that he was checking IDs because he was busy flirting with two women. It was a Sunday night at 10pm and not busy at all. So we thought we could enter. When we went to enter he yelled at us and said what do you think you are doing. He then became condescending and rude and told us we needed to acknowledge him. His approach was that of a bully. Just a side note... I am 57 and my husband is 58. There were a number of better ways this man could have handled things. Maybe this establishment should pay closer attention to who they hire.

Very nice bar with a great atmosphere. We found that the bloody Marys were the beat bang for the buck.

Good place to go if you are looking for eletronic music in Pacific Beach. The bar stays open during the day and the ballad starts at 10pm and ends at 1:30am. They start charge to enter at 9pm.

Pretty decent bar just super busy especially at night. Lines can be fairly long on weekends. Good spot to have a few drinks but overall just okay.Music is decent dance floor pretty small. Warning lots of younger crowds frequent here. Parking is behind the place about $7 per hour.

Nice and open space. Several bars located around the property
