What a great place! Coming from Europe I havent expected such convenience. Highly comfortable, gigantic seats, a waiter calling button, beers during the movie. Ive been to cinemas all over Europe but that was something else. I could move in in no time.

This is the best movie experience Ive ever been to. First off all the employees are so nice and you can order drinks and food in your recliner at the press of a button. Please support this company if you want to keep this place open due to covid-19 repercussions.

I came here the other night to watch Ramona Diazs Dont Stop Believin: Everymans Journey. It was the final film of the San Francisco International Film Festival. Since Ive been waiting about two years to see this film, I was ECSTATIC to come to this event. In case you havent heard of this film, its a documentary about Journey (yes the American rock band) and their new lead singer from the San Diego.

You like THE LOT Liberty Station bars? Thats what this is -- and it rocks. No food other than bags of chips, but the drinks are good n cheap, and the atmosphere is uber THE LOT Liberty Station. Whats not to like.

Very nice upscale theater in a beautiful location. Pricey for sure, but the facilities are immaculate. The seats are very comfortable and the theater sizes and screens are a good size. The sound is good, but not great as the dialogue was a little hard to understand. The picture is also decent but not great, as it should be brighter with less black crush and better contrast to see more details in darker movies (like Tenet).The staff was extremely attentive, friendly and had everything super clean and sanitary. Even the bathrooms were amazing! Everyone was masked up, as were the few other patrons there when we were. I had fears about attending a movie during COVID-19 times, but the precautions they took and the cleanliness of the facility quickly overcame my fears. Overall a good experience, and one that is fantastic for date night.

We felt comfortable with the Lots safety procedures. Only the 2 of us and one other person in the seats. We ate at the Lot restaurant before the film and everything was handled correctly. Good service and food all around.

One of my go to eateries in San Diego. Great view of Liberty Station. The seating was arranged very well with nice spacing. My wife and shared the Lot Clu and Chicken Cesar Salad. The portions were more than enough.

This review is specifically for the movies under the star event that the LOT is hosting. I have to say, I was very disappointed. The LOT inside theaters are amazing so is the staff so I was thrown off by the experience we had. The movies under the star takes place by the trash dumpster. . next to the art dance studio so your competing with their music and the movie sound . During the movie, staff were going out to dump empty bottles that were used thru the day. You could hear the trash cans being opened and dumping the glass bottles. Lastly there was employees from the nearby areas taking smoking breaks, not a pleasant experience...When you think about movies under the stars I don’t picture this at all. I’m sorry to say but I was truly disappointed. I was looking forward to this event for our date night, but it was not at all what we had pictured.

This place it’s amazing. I experience the Standing Comedy Show in Spanish and food and drinks were super good. The views around Liberty Station are amazing.

The staff was friendly, the food was absolutely fantastic and the outdoor movie setting they had setup for us was very well executed. Highly recommended!

Had brunch here today. The food was really good along with the drinks. Service was friendly and professional. I had the Acai bowl which comes with granola blueberries and banana. Next we had the chicken sandwich then the short rib omelette. We were so full we had leftovers. They have a very lively bar area. They also have a cafe bar for coffee drinks. Definitely worth a visit. The lot also has a movie theater which serves food while you ea. Parking is free or metered depending on space.

The only way to watch a movie in theaters. So nice! Love the atmosphere, good food and drinks. Its fun to order food while watching a movie but its expensive. Very comfy chairs and I love the fact they recline back so far.

We came in as a large group to see Star Wars just after Christmas. Seats are some of the most comfortable Ive ever sat in - you can get to almost a full recline. Service at the seats was good - I enjoyed the brownie sundae with popcorn. It seems like they are going for an Alamo Drafthouse type vibe, but without the kitsch. Only drawback is the limited number of movies showing at any one time. Would definitely come back if they are playing a movie I want to see.

They book a reservation for 10:30 but dont open until 11. Totally not logical and totally inconvenient. Now Im stuck in the middle of nowhere killing a half hour, no coffee in sight. Seems like a disorganized management not coordinating with their websites. Have not tried the food yet. Stay tunedIt gets better: part two:So, we waited around for a half hour, then went back to be seated, just to be told they are not serving any food today. Why did the guy at the door fail to tell me that when I arrived? I specifically told him we had a reservation for brunch. Brunch = food. or is this new math?This place wont get a second chance from me. I work in the restaurant industry and know disorganization and mismanagement when I see it. We ended up at a wonderful place called Fig Tree. The food was superb, the service was wonderful, and they were very organized. I say skip The Lot and go down to the Fig Tree, its just up the street.

I thought this place would be a lot better than the service we received. Came here on Valentines Day and the waitress was slow and barely checked up on us. 3 couples left before us and we arrived way before they did. We were constantly having to ask other waiters there for assistance. We were also showed a menu where we have 4 free drinks and what we could pick. My gf asked if the Chardonnay was on the menu and the waitress said yes. We were charged for 4 drink when we were told they were free. We eventually got 2 mangers involved because they waitress tried to take only $17 dollars off of the tab instead of $40. Finally we were told we were going to be refunded the difference which I still have not received that refund to my account. I will be calling my bank tomorrow and disputing that charge since we were lied to about getting a refund. Save your time and money. The service and food isnt worth the hassle of dealing with liars

I absolutely loved this place. AMC has some major stepping up to do. Everyone we met here staff wise was friendly and very helpful. The cool thing is when you arrive, you just walk right to your theater and seat. No ticket stubs? What futuristic experience is this. Are server probably greeted us, ask us if it was our first time there, and very happily shared how everything works. Reclining seats, check. Drinks brought to you, check. A great movie experience, check check check.

Not real happy at this moment. I have two tickets in hand for the lot movie theater and Ive been on the phone for almost an hour trying to connect with a human being. Ive been stuck in the recording loop and have pretty much concluded there are no actual people available if theres a problem. I have left a voicemail with no response and now Im choosing to go to a different company to enjoy the movie. Having no one to address problems or situation is unacceptable from any company. I love the theater and the concept but not feeling very significant right now.

The food is a little bit pricey, but pretty delicious. The atmosphere is quite up scale. The theater itself was amazing!Reclining leather chairs, swivel mounted dinner tray. Servers that cater to your every whim. You wont miss much of your movie if nature calls because the restrooms are located right across the hall!The staff are super friendly. I felt so at home I almost took my shoes off and had a nap!

I had a wonderful time with my husband we went to the movies at 10:30 in the morning and we ate brunch right at our movie seats the seats are reclining and very very comfortable my husband had a $25 cheeseburger, that he said was WELL WORTH IT it came with Sweet potato crosscut fries. I had Baked macaroni and cheese for brunch and 2 Bloody Marys! all in all I had a great time with my big bucket of caramel popcorn!I cant wait to go back! the day cost us about $110 but it was well worth it, i had a nice afternoon with my husband which has been a long time coming!

The Lot is a consistent for us. Once you go reclined chairs you just dont go back. The food service is amazing - they bring you dinner for while youre watching your movie - and the drinks are delicious!

Best movie theatre in San Diego (that I’ve visited so far) but I give them 4 stars because it seems their staff isn’t happy at all (most of the time). Hoping this reaches management to know I love the Lot but feel the culture and staff could use some refreshing.

Love this outdoor restaurant! Delicious menu; although it’s a tad pricey. In my opinion food quality is worth the price. Portions are not huge, but I appreciate that so I don’t overeat. Get the brussel sprouts; they’re amazing!

Went here on a date and was completely ignored. A server never came to our seats and even when I did press the service button and someone came to turn the button off like a flight attendant they never returned with our order. The place looks nice but they dont how to run an upscale movie experience.

Very cool spot to see new movies. There is a restaurant in the front, but I didn’t eat there so can’t speak for that. It looked very nice though. The theater itself was clean. This was my first time in a luxury theater and I was impressed by the large reclining leather seats. Also, staff came by every now and then to take drink and food orders. My only complaint is that the food at the concession was way overpriced, and the portions were small compared to traditional theaters. The fountain drinks are small and they don’t do refills, so you need to purchase another overpriced drink if you are still thirsty. Overall it was a great experience though, and I would come back if there was a movie that I really wanted to see.

This place has really gone down hill recently - the management and service has been awful the last couple times we have visited. From absent to inattentive staff, to theaters kept at 57degrees in the middle of winter and not yet starting to clean them at the scheduled show start. Really a bummer and such a shame since it’s used to be a fun date night/ girls night out.

Or somethin like that lolTheater has nice comfy chairs and a selection of drinks (including more beer) and some tasty treats.

We had a wonderful time. The parking is a little limited. However, one can park on the street or in the parking lot if it is not full. I would advise one to arrive 45 to 30 minutes early for your movie. While you wait, you may enjoy a drink or an appetizer at the restaurant. I highly recommend this theater.

Horrible experience with the food. Flatbread took forever, then was the wrong order, then arrived cold and soggy. Expensive food and drinks. Nice area of San Diego in the Art District.

The Lot in Liberty Station is excellent. The bar is great, the restaurant has tasty menu items that are reasonably priced and the movie theaters with food and alcohol service are top notch. Also, the servers are nothing but the nicest most professional people to help you with all your needs.

The Lot continues to be the standard in fancy movie watching! The staff are always great, the laid back and upscale feel are nice as ever. Plush electric reclining seats, drinks and food delivered to your seat, great video and audio quality make for a wonderful movie experience!

The place is very nice.. but beware. when you see a movie they over charge for the food. my partner and I went to see the Star wars move and we ordered food. he had a hamburger/ frys and beer. I had a star wars flat bed meal deal. his burger was $19.50 over priced as it is.. we were charged $30.00 I called them on and they said they would fix it after 30 minutes back and forth in negotiations .. yes negotiations.. they tried to work a deal ware they would take some off and give me a gift card for the rest..all I wanted was a correct bill and it keep getting higher they even charged me for the gift card at one point.. so needless to say. they did not fix it I did not get the gift card. they gave me a correct bill, I signed the bill for $65.00 got charged $77.. so ya beware of the Lot in Liberty Station! I also found out is a norm. Several of my neighbors and friends told me they have dealt with this before and we all live in Point Loma.. maybe they just rip off their neighbors.. I have been there many times, but not going there again.

Yummy Popcorn with reclining comfy chairs.Food is a lil eh... but it was fun to eat and watch a movie.$80 for a movie, a coke, popcorn, and 2 apps....

Everything is 20-30% more expensive than it should be. There are better restaurants within a half mile and the movie theater is not much better than a normal one. Overall I will not be returning.

Delicious food and great Alfresco dining

The setting is very nice, a combination of indoor and outdoor. Nice modern furnishings with fire pits to take the chill off during the evening. Caring Staff. EXCELLENT carnitas sliders.That is where the good points end. There was nothing special about the other food. It was good quality but not special. The guacamole lacked flavor and so did the flatbread appetizer. In fact, it is rare that a restaurant can be accused of not using enough salt but both of the appetizers needed salt as did the macaroni and cheese. When does that happen? And I am not a person who is big on salt. The peach cobbler was dull and the peaches were a bit bitter. I am an aficionado of peach cobbler and this was not among the best I have eaten. The recipe is not a standout. They were also out of many of the dessert options.When you pay $177 before taxes for four people and only one has dessert, the meal should have more flavor. I will not eat at The Lot again if I am in San Diego.

Photos are a lie. The website glitched and gave me seats for Row A when I clearly chose B. I let it pass because computers can glitch. We get there popcorn and Soda is not free refills. One time fill. If I pay $7.50 for soda I expect a refill. Then we go in to the theater and seats were dirty. Biggest disappointment. Better of going to a Regal Metro. A LOT of BS in this theater.Update: Midway through the movie one of the attendance inturrpted the movie and took our menu to give it to another person. I had put my popcorn on top of the menu on the side of the seat. And mid way through the menu the attendant took our popcorn bucket, lifted it, and took it to someone else without asking if we were using it. The movie was great but then again I could have paid $10 at a Cinemark and got a much better experience. Waste of of money.

The atmosphere is beautiful and convenient. When we arrived for our first visit here, a very nice manager from the restaurant came to us and asked if we had been here before. He told us there is a restaurant, bar, dessert and coffee bar, and the theater. He told us The Lot used to be a military base. I ordered a bar drink and my friend ordered a coffee. Both were perfectly prepared. A nice benefit of the lot is the choice of having food and drinks. The theater seats were very roomy and comfortable. This is a vey nice place place to. Relax and grab a movie!

Really good food as well as drinks brought to at your seat. I also have a stellar bar with a nice view before you go in. Comfortable seats that recline back good sound and a great view as you enjoy your movie. Super fun, but it is expensive. Worth the cost in my estimation.

We went to The Lot Liberty Station for brunch. We were seated quickly-- the restaurant was empty at 1030 on a Saturday morning. The food wasnt bad, just not great. The service wasnt awesome...lots of staff but no one really paying attention to customers...I wouldnt come back or recommend The Lot restaurant to anyone I care about.

Big comfy seats in the theaters and they serve you right there! Food was great as well as the popcorn. You get to choose your seat too. Everything is very clean and bathrooms are close by. Id definitely go back.

The theater and seating is fantastic. The lounge style chairs were quite comfortable. The cost of the tickets was a bit high though.

Really swanky spot to watch a movie! You can tell that a lot of effort has gone into differentiating THE LOT from other premium move theaters. Service was a bit slow in the theater and you will definitely pay more than average for a movie.I will be going back to try dinner out at their restaurant and catch another movie.

I love this place. If you want to watch a movie, have good food, and a good drink look no further. The ticket price is just about the same as anywhere else except you are in a nice theater. I will never go to any other movie theater other than the lot because of how awesome it is.

For a place that should be able to scale to accomodate crowd surges, these guys have a really hard time. Undertrained staff, overpriced food, and a hotel lobby-like dining room do not make for an enjoyable dining experience IMO. Go for the movie, stay for the movie.

Every seat is a good seat! It’s nice being able to order directly from your RECLINING CHAIR without having to even move. The sound quality is great, and you can sit anywhere and have a great experience. You almost never have to wait in line for tickets, and nobody can take your seat. If there was any flaw whatsoever, it’s that a few of the chairs squeak.

Great location for parking and admission on Wednesdays! Park, walk to nearby outlets for dinner or dine at the restaurant or inside while watching a movie and get service tableside. Feels like a local theatre without the megaplex experience.

They could do a much better job at food preperation. The chicken strips and potstickers were overcooked and dry. They provided enough dipping sauce for one strip and one potsticker no ketchup was provided for the fries. For the price paid between dinner food and drinks they can do a much better job

Very fun overall experience- the movie theater offers comfy chairs, amazing sound and screen experience. There is a wide variety of food and drinks on the menu, Ive tried the fried pickles, fries and matcha latte, they were all good. Service was wonderful and fast. This place became my new favorite movie theater!

The Lot is a great place for a date, but not for a casual movie occasion. Went to watch bohemian rhapsody, the seats were great, the sound was great and the movie was great, but the price sucks because they bring you food (you actually still have to pay for the food once inside). Overall a great place, but not if youre on budget.

Movie was great. Food was cold and dry. It literally took 30 minutes to get a shake and extra ketchup.

Perfect for all the movies that are really long. The theater was clean the staff was nice. Especially Rodney our waiter. The chairs are really comfy too.

Comfy reclining seats and wait service for drinks during the movie--but the drinks are absurdly expensive. $100+ for a bottle of wine. Super expensive tickets, too, but worth the price for the spacious seating.

One of the best way to watch a movie with food and drinks served in your seat

We havent gone back to a regular theater after coming to theaters like this (beside the drive in). Reserved seating is so convenient especially for new movies you dont want to stand in line for, hours before the movie starts to then just sit with obnoxious people who provide loud commentary throughout the entire movie. You cant go wrong with a good movie, clean theater and food/drinks! Also a good choice when youre short on time and cant do dinner and a movie separately.

My favorite cinema but popcorn and nachos are really bad. I would highly recommend to increase the quality of them. :)

Just saw the final Star Wars great theater for a splurge. Super comfortable seating but tickets and concession pricey.

The theater itself is nice and clean but the food is not good at all, I’ve gone several times and each time I’ve been disappointed. Honestly McDonald’s would have been better. It’s really pricey too

If you like to watch movies in theaters. This is the way to do it. The seats are soooo comfy. They recline, they have movable trays, your own call button. It’s an amazing experience. The food is comparable to other restaurants. It was pretty good. I definitely think that it’s worth the price for the tickets to watch movies like this.

Seats are nice, and it’s the only reason why I gave two stars. The bar is filthy dirty. The inside of the theater was also not clean, but better than the bar/cafe area. For how expensive this place was, I was expecting A LOT more.... save your money and go to an Alamo Draft House.

The restaurant was a good call. Hanging out before the movie was relaxing. During the movie the food was good, the service awesome however two things went wring. First a part of my food order did not arrive when my other food did. I thought no big deal it is probably on it way shortly. That was not the case. This is where my second issue comes up. I pressed my call button. I waited 5 minutes before asking my wife to press hers. This is when I realized my call button was not working. The staff solved our mystery and apologized. Even though it wad resolved the event put me in an off mood the rest of the evening. I am sure I will overcome my doubts of The Lot.

Love the setup. Very clean and service is fast and accurate. Seat E9 in atrium 6 is worse out and leans inward. Thats good for getting comfy with your companion but no so much so if your solo.

Its the only way to watch a movie. Highly recommend it if you havent tried it
