This church is very beautiful, my wife (May she rest in peace) and l liked it very much. We enjoyed Father Marios sermons, may he rest in peace. One day when l was saying the rosary, l said Father l saw the Virgin Mary right here in front of me. I showed the exact spot (place) where l was kneeling and praying the rosary. (The 1st pew on the left side and l remember very clear.) Father Mario said said that l had just experienced a vision ofThe Virgin Mary.
This church is very beautiful, I came here for a wedding and I must say, I love old building and this churchs architecture is beautiful. The inside is very nice and I loved some of the detail in the interior. I would have given this 5 stars, But the parking situation is horrible. The church itself has a sorry excuse of a parking lot that its laughable. Other then that it was a joy to visit and view.
My husband and myself got married 13 years ago while he was active duty by a Justice of the Peace in Colorado. We have both been baptized, had communion and confirmed by the Catholic Church. We are practicing and members or a local church. Our daughter is also active as a youth member. I called this parish on Monday to renew our vows. I was told by the receptionist that the Priest refused to renew our vows because we weren’t married in the church. It’s very difficult when you’re active duty to be part of a church, attend classes, etc. the job comes first. Being judged by a receptionist and denied by a Priest for a renewal and offered no other options is disgraceful. Not very “Christian” if you ask me. Doesn’t make us feel very welcome in our religion. The 1 star rating is truly applicable in this case.
It is the Lords House of Worship. I feel safe there and talk to God about everything. He is our hope in these tough world.
Beautiful. Stunning architecture and design. If you are in the river walk area, stop by to check it out.
I love how they have daily confession from 10a-11:45a, with Adoration and Mass to follow. Beautiful, traditional church depicting lots of saints and gothic style architecture.

My Mother took us to this beautiful Church every Sunday. We lived on Bowie street about 2 blocks away. I was 5yrs old. I will visit this beautiful place again very soon.
Its is a very conservative church that I felt the Holy Spirit present in. I enjoyed my time there with prayer. Its nice to see an active church with in the city . I would definitely recommend that you go and visit if you dont have a home church already .
I love coming to this church. Its beautful. Not a parishioner of this church though.
Historic must see. Its within walking distance from the Marriott, very intimate, and free to enter at your leisure.

Beautiful church!
I love old churches
Great place to worship-very convenient to persons living in the downtown area-the fathers are very easy going and courteous-the worshipers are friendly and knowledgeable of procedures.
Absolutely beautiful church, and an historic site as well. Regardless of beliefs you should stop in and see this church. There is a lady in the back who has a little cash only store with some rosaries and religious items, and the priest getting ready for mass blessed my scapular for me.
Beautiful Mass, great church in the heart of the Riverwalk. Greatly appreciate it being there.
Solemn yet Lovely Choir for the Christmas Eve Mass
Absolutely beautiful old church!! I wish more churches would stop remodeling and just leave as is. I’m from Illinois and we are in the middle of remodeling what used to be a lovely old church. Loved St. Joseph!
One of the best places for midnite mass in SA.
Beautiful old German Catholic church built in the 19th century. Usually open for visit and/or prayer.Definitely worth seeing.
Absolutely beautiful church! I went to the 11:00 oclock mass. Parking in the mall garage is free with validation after mass.
Church is amazing however not impressed with how tourists just come in and disturb the service.

Truly, truly the gem in the heart of San Antonio.
A very welcoming church community.
Beautiful! Im not Catholic, and didnt really know the custom upon entering, but felt instantly welcomed. The stained glass art is amazing!
Soooo beautiful. Reminded me of the churches in Europe.
One of the historic painted churches of Texas, its parishioners, mostly German immigrants, saved it from being sold during the development of the River Walk Mall. The beautiful glass windows came from Germany, and the Stations of the Cross were painted by its first priest. The San Antonio Liederkranz German choir, sings every 4th Sunday at 11am, except in July August, & December. Love the services, and you can feel a real presence here.
Loved the service, they were friendly and courteous.
Amazing. Serene. Beautiful
Beautiful church. Love that its the Gem of Downtown San Antonio TX.
I was there earlier today as a tourist...looked at some of the items and was in awe of the architecture. I saw some of the items listed for sale and asked a few questions about them. My group and I then proceeded to leave and were followed out of the door by an older gentleman that accused me a stealing a wooden block that costs $3. This is unacceptable and I went back in to let the older lady who sent him after me know how I felt. As a black man, I have to face this regularly but should not be treated like this at a place of God. There needs to be some discussion about this among the staff and how people are treated. I know the Catholic Church has lots of problems but racism should not be one of them, if you call yourselves Christians!!!!
Such a beautiful Church. Its a must see if youre in the downtown area.
Beautiful church in the heart of downtown.
Great deals on specialty items 50% off price marked. Coffees, teas, spices, pastas, other similar types of items.

Very inspiring message and is instrumental in living a life to serve others while enriching my own and glorifying God. Father Mario and Deacon are a great asset to our community and the growth of the Catholic Church. Would highly recommend to anyone who may be struggling with their faith .
It was a beautiful mass and church!
Beautiful church to honor Saint Joseph
Daily 9:45am Adoration, followed by Confessions and then The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass at 12pm
Great service, great location, could not ask for more out of a Catholic Church.
Went to confession there and Father Mario was so compassionate, understanding and sincere. He knew I was hurting and made sure I knew I was completely forgiven. I am definitely going back he made me feel so much better both spiritually and emotionally.
