This amazing monument is a U.S. National Monument at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. The monument was unveiled on Oct 28, 2013. The monument was designed by the John Burnam Foundation, which represents the handlers, dogs and veterinary support for all military branches. In all my travels this is one of my personal favorite monuments, a true treasure! Our military service dogs should always be greatly appreciated!

This place is AWESOME! So great that they created this monument for our Military Working Dog Handlers....especially at Lackland Air Force Base where the journey as a handler begins! Plenty of parking available nearby and it’s in a great spot that has access to a few other things to see in the area.

Nice and extremely well kept monument to working dogs. The sculptures are very detailed and easily recognizable. Is not very big but its worth going to and learning more about something that isnt bright up very often. Close parking, wheelchair accessible easy to get to.

Great peaceful homage to working military dogs now and past. The fountain is got to be super functional for visiting dogs during South Texas hot Summers. Perfect for meditation and or relaxing when there is no function on the grass parade field.

Loved it, although Texas heat is different from California heat. So dress warm and drink plenty of fluids and use sunscreen
