Very pretty. Very clean. Family environment
This is a nice place to go herping, but its a disc golf course here so be mindful of and always let golfers have the right of way. The local players are all very nice. There is a lot of garbage in the densely wooded areas that seems to be carried in by heavy rains. If it rains before your visit, be prepared for alot of mud.Ive found many different reptiles and amphibians here, and the only venomous snake Ive seen here is the Texas Coralsnake, although its in range for Broadbanded copperheads, Western diamondback rattlesnakes, and Northern cottonmouths. The most commonly encountered snakes here are the Checkered Gartersnake and Western Ratsnakes. Other species Ive seen here include the Texas Patch-nosed Snake, Plain-bellied Watersnake, Rough Earth Snake, Rough Greensnake, Bukksnake, Plains Threadsnake, Red-eared Slider, Common Snapping Turtle, Texas Spiny Lizard, Rose-bellied Lizard, Green Anole, Gulf Coast Toad, Western Narrow-mouthed Toad, Green Treefrog, and Western Slimy Salamander.
Boudreaux always has a great time here
This is the best disc golf course Ive been to in San Antonio. Feels like Im walking in Narnia.
Great disc golf course, unless it recently rained. A couple times a year they reverse the course to mix things up. Lots of trees that keep the short holes challenges
Went here for the second weekend this year and its an amazing disc golf park. An absolute gem in San Antonio. The community that frequents the park is very nice to newcomers, visitors, and newbies. The course is challenging and fun. It rewards you for playing the game well, but isnt so difficult that beginners cant have a good time. My wife played her first round of disc golf ever here and she had an amazing time. The park is beautiful. It could have just been a blighted area with an electrical easement. Instead its a beautiful park that is best experienced while playing a fun round of disc golf. Each Saturday weve visited the course weve been able to play a quick 18 then roll around for another 9 no problem.Enjoy this exceptional city park the next time youre looking for something to do with a beautiful day. Great job San Antonio!
This is my favorite course in SA. Unfortunately they reverse the course occasionally and I consider it far less interesting.
One of the top 3 disc golf courses in the San Antonio area. A must play course.
The disc golf course is fun. A mix of interesting lines with multiple tees on some holes. Upkeep wasnt the best, and theres a good chance to lose a disc on an errant shot. Id go back for sure, but its not my first choice and Id rather wait until I know for sure its been mowed.
Best disc golf around.. i come all the from new Braunfels just to play a good round... best little hidden gem
Very nice disc golf course
Great disc golf course that is close to the house. Not to hard of a course.
Nice course with a mix of wooded and open. Challenging terrain. The course always seems to be kept up at least decently. Free to play just park at the school.
Great park. Lots of trees. We had a lot of fun playing this course.
Super cool park to play disc golfing
Great Disc Golf course with an Awesome tournament run by Bill and Teds Awesome Disc Golf Adventures.
Great disc golf course, one of best in town. And great walking trails thru out
Great disc golf course in San Antonio. Plenty of shade but parking in school parking lot.
Great park. Would like to see the discounted golf course back to normal instead of reversed though.
I love seeing my Grand-babies have fun, in a clean park, plus in the years we have been visiting this place, the grass is always cut, trees trimmed, one of the best parks in S.A.
Nice 18 hole disc course
Really nice disc golf course, but definitely void if it has recently rained.
Beautiful park for disk golf. There is one or two areas where a stream is a bit difficult to retrieve your disk should it go in.
Fun course.
My favorite course in SA. Its set up so you can either do the front nine or the back nine easily from the parking lot. All 18 will probably take 2 to 3 hours, and its a fun challenging course. Definately wait a few days after rain though, unless you like mud.
Beautiful great place to take family
Best frisbee golf course in North San Antonio
Threw the football with my girlfriends son.
Good layout. Nice mix of variety. A few fairways have some remodeling going on but still playable.
We visited for the trails for my dog. Awesome disk golf course, nestled amongst the woods. There is a power line running through it that provided a great dog experience. Game trails are evident everywhere and your dog will enjoy all the smells. A friend recommended this park and he was on mark. Ive never seen a better disk golf course. Enjoy San Antonios best course, in my opinion.
Solid park, well traveled and maintained.
Great public park. Dogs allowed
One of the most challenging and beautiful Disc Golf Parks/Courses in San Antonio! The group of local disc golfers that maintain McClain do an unbelievable job!!I look forward to playing this course any chance I get.
Awesome disc golf course! Very technical
Cool place to play some disc golf!
What a large and beautiful disc golf course! We came out here a couple days after it had rained, and it was still a little muddy around, but still very playable. Plan to be here a whole day if you want to play the whole course, and check out the rules to see what rotation the field is being played. If youre not sure, ask one of the many nice folks that are there. Everyone was so friendly at this park!
Good disc golf course with nice elevation changes and multiple boxes to throw from. Does hold water for longer than normal after rains though, and the city does not seem to put any effort into keeping the brush maintained.
Really like this course. Great for beginners.
Had a great time. It is layed out very good. Not easy, but good for a beginer like myself.
Love disc golf, this is the spot for you
Course is almost always well maintained. If it rains, stay home... The course is in a flood plain and just a little rain makes the course a mud bowl.
Best disc golf course in San Antonio!
Why did they change the Disk Golf course layout? It was much better the original direction.
Great looking course, unfortunately I had to play it backwards. For my first time it was pretty confusing, but looks like a nice layout with good tee pads and signage
Fun disc golf park. Beautiful nature walking paths.
Awesome scenery good vibes clean park.
Love the disc golf course!
Frisbee golf course is nice.
Great course
Great course, avoid after rain, huge mod problem.
Bryan McClain Park is located near the intersection of OConnor Road and Knollcrest & is a great place to enjoy quality time with the family and friends outdoors. There is 1 pavilion and some bench tables nearby the entrance. Just remember there is no alcohol allowed & everything is first come, first serve. So plan to be there early if your making any picnicking plans. There is also a disc golf course that was added to the park. It consists of 18 holes, total par is 56, and the total length is 5,533 feet. Another cool thing to check out for free! This park was named in memory of Bryan McClain, a Madison High School graduate and Texas A&M University student who unfortunately died in an accident when the A&M bonfire stack collapsed in 1999.
Beautiful park. Some holes have two tees and its not always apparent.
Had fun playing disk golf! Just make sure to bring mosquito spray.
This is the best disc golf course in San Antonio. It goes deep into the woods with a wide variety of holes.
Great just need restrooms
