My daughter enjoyed the kiddie park. Masks are recommended not required. 12 bucks buys you as many rides as your kiddos like. Not many rides but cute and worth the 12$ for sure. Stopped here before Zoo Boo trick or treating and my daughter didnt want to leave to the zoo.

I been coming to this place as a kid and now my kids enjoy it. Today was my first time coming to the new location by the zoo. Its clean and nice for the little ones. $12 not bad for all day band. $1 a parent that comes in. Will definitely be bringing my little one back.

It is cute and nostalgic for sure, the young ones will have fun, but I would like to see more refurbishing of the equipment. It is cool to share some history of how things were back in the day (as my oldest calls it)

Enjoyed our time here. The old classic rides are famtistic. All young kiddos from 2 - 6 seem to enjoy the rides. If you have bigger kids, a few of the cars on the rides might be too small. Some of the ride staff could be a bit more interactive and kid friendly. The plenty of picnic tables with umbrellas are nice. Bring your own food is a great option. The gentleman at the concession was very kind and enjoyable to Interact with. Overall, I recommend a stop here. Well be back.

Had a great family day. My wife made a great decision to come here. My son loved the rides. He is small but really had a great time. And all rides are safe and have straps that either parents or staff secure. Simple old timey fun. Nothing super fancy(and not needed) but nostalgic feel is a plus for me.

Wow, memories of when I was kid! They still have the $12. Unlimited band ride. They only down fall was they charge a $1. To enter the park per person. Why?! I know its only a dollar but why?! They young lady that worked said it was the zoos new rule of charge. So just letting yall know for the future. Also, they dont have tickets no more just bands.

Todays Grand Opening at the San Antonio Zoo was far from grand. It was almost sad seeing how Kiddie Park is nothing but a ghost of its former self. The attempt to recreate the nostalgia was a fail as it seems that almost all of the amusement park was shoved into a corner parking lot of the new location. It would have been nice to see all of the rides in working condition, up & running on the first day of operation. Some rides were inoperable, others were hand operated by staff. I expected more than this.

Re
Review №13

My kids had a great time, but the ride operators had an obvious morale problem. They also seemed to expect too much from younger kids (ie: being able to buckle themselves in). Some operators would help buckle and then one just sat there while a kid almost fell getting into the boat ride, not providing any assistance. It’s unclear and inconsistent from ride to ride what parents are supposed to do to help with getting kids into and out of rides. A couple were actually rude to kids. We never went to the old location, it sounds like it was probably better in a lot of ways.

Love love love this place! We took our 2 year old here this past summer and Wow!! Its so fun! I was amazed that there were so many fun rides for the little ones. I believe its 12 years old and younger that can ride the rides- but heck, I was able to accompany my daughter on anything... That was nice! The carousel was just amazing- and old! Tip top shape! The food was cheap and good! No overpriced stuff here, folks! All the funfare is here and the employees are super super friendly! All smiles !! We will go back no doubt!! Check it out!

I used to love taking my daughter to the kiddie park!! But the new location (which I was originally excited about) is a bit of a let down. No shade which is a big deal during Texas summer and WHY OH WHY has no one yet mentioned the food situation?!? They used to have an epic food menu at the old location. Mini funnel cakes, chicken tenders, wings, sno cones, frito pie, turkey legs...literally had 85 things on the menu. It was wonderful and so fun (and so affordable!) The new location has hot dogs, stadium style nachos (gag me), pickles, and dip n dots. That’s it. It’s so unfortunate. It doesn’t have quite the charm or feel and the food absolutely was a heart wrenching loss (for me at least!).It’s still a fun place to try for those under 6, but honestly it used to be a great stand alone place now I feel it’s maybe something you do on your way in or out of the zoo...and certainly not a place you want to stay for lunch.

Small and compact space with only rides that small children can ride! Inexpensive but great value for money. There is a single ride restriction - a ride with cars that jerk around a bend in the track has a minimum height limit, but otherwise even 1-year-olds can ride everything!Parents can come along for the 100-year-old wooden carousel and the flying saucers, otherwise the rides fit kids alone. My 2.5-year-old had a blast - enough variety but not too overwhelming, small enough to be able to run around the whole place without too tight supervision (=freedom!), and the rides were exciting but not scary.Older kids may find some of these rides boring or slow, YMMV. But for toddlers, its an affordable grand adventure!

Great place for casual fun with little ones.We went for 2 hours of fun with a 3 yr old. Unlimited rides for $13. Rides are historic; think 1940s traveling fair. Nothing to get too worked up about, but still fun for 2-6 yr olds who arent adrenaline junkies. We went on a weekday just before the school year ended and the place was almost empty. Staff was great about running rides on demand. Rides were well worn but well loved. Its 2 blocks from the Doseum (Childrens Museum) and next to the park, so lots of other things to do. Id recommend for just a couple of hours for young kids. The place feels very old-fashioned and heavily worn without feeling worn out or in disrepair.

I think its great for what it is. I think its got a very old-school vibe and And a VERY reasonable price. I highly recommend anyone with Childeren under 10 to go to least once. That said, the good price means LOTS of people can be there. From all walks of life... So, go early on weekdays so you can have as personal of an experience and not worry about the crowds and if you are going to have your kids pushed by some other kid whos parents cant be found.
