A great place to relax and contemplate the beauty of nature
And two min walk from the head waters of the San Antonio River, love that wheel shaped garden planting space bet its amazing be for harvest
Nice and quiet. Not to many people around. Dog friendly
This place offers nothing that the pictures show. The headwater is nothing but an empty well with garbage in it. Blue hole is a waste of time. Its behind a noisy part of the incarnate college. And no one on campus has any idea what the Blue Hole or the Headwaters were or where they are. Brackenridge Park has better images of headwater and Blue Hole.
Very quiet. Many birds to listen to.
Beautiful area but a little better directions would be nice.
Beautiful little surprising spring known as the Blue Hole encourages contemplation. The walk is also lovely.
I love these trails!
Nice little place for hikes family and bird watching. Is the beginning of the San Antonio river walk called the blue hole. A prehistoric geyser that would reach hundreds of feet in air. Alot of historic native American activity happened along this river area before the water was capped off and privatized. The water here is very Crystal blue clear.
Helen and Howard are awesome!! I usually go here to volunteer with my Navy team, the coordinators are really nice. Nice area and its pretty cool to go back and see the additions and improvements everyone has done.
Its a great place to go with your family
Nice walk. Definitely not a hike. The dam is underwhelming. But then again, was thinking about the Hoover Dam so my expectation was flawed from the beginning.
We went to this location to look for the Blue Hole. Had seen pictures online showing a picturesque hole filled with blue water. That must have been a freak occurrence which only happens post a large rainstorm or flood, as that is not the norm. Our experience seeing the small blue hole was literally that, a small hole in the ground filled with garbage. Very depressing. We thought hunting down the actual Blue Hole (not small one) would yield better results. Not so much, just more garbage. Sad, and not worth the trek.
Nice place to walk. Now and then, they have a nature walk with the guide talking about the land and the people before us.
A hidden gem. Site of the blue hole, the main spring that feeds San Antonio River.
52 acre nature park at the source of the San Antonio River. Beautiful nature sanctuary that refreshes body and soul
Shady hiking trails. View of Olmos Dam. Really nice.
A hidden gem in San Antonio!
