A really nice historical moment on the This Is The Place grounds. Its a cool monument with a lot of neat information about the Pony Express, worth a stop by on the the way up to the top of the hill. Could use a bit of attention and care last time I was there, but very informative and helps us learn more about Utahs history.

Neat historic monuments to the pony express. Made me think about how much changing horses was a part of the system.

It is hard to believe that young men once rode horses to carry mail from Missouri to California in the unprecedented time of only 10 days. This relay system along the Pony Express National Historic Trail in eight states was the most direct and practical means of east-west communications before the telegraph.

Interesting monument near This is the Place Heritage Park dedicated to the Pony Express. Well worth visiting for a good overview on the Pony Express, which came through this canyon.

Was hoping for a really cool monument and it wasnt bad. If you are in the area stop by and see the monument. There are a couple of attractions in the area that you can see. Maybe in the summer there is more actions but in the winter nobody was there. So parking was easy and no admission fees.
