Im not sure what all to say about this place. But I loved it. The museum was great and everyone was incredibly welcoming and friendly. Im Catholic and we had the best time getting some exposure to a different Christian religion. Id go back again in a heartbeat.
This is a place to stop by for sure if youre in Salt Lake. There are tons of buildings and museums you can visit and you can get free guided tours of the whole place. Most of the history here relates to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Its going to be under construction for about five years starting January 2020.
The best place to stop by when in Salt Lake City. Absolutely beautiful temple and buildings. Very peaceful. Even though it is not a restaurant, you will be filled.
Amazing place to experience the history of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, learn about their faith and feel closer to God.
Such a happy place! Very spiritual, lots of families and children picnicking and enjoying where they are. The Church History museum is endlessly fascinating. Quiet reverence permeates all the presentations
Very Accurate History! They even address the hard stuff. Most people like to hide over the things that werent great. But this addresses the progress of the church chronologically and doesnt leave out things like the bank failure and other events that werent the greatest.... Also the interactive features are everywhere and a lot of fun for kids and adults. The artwork is also incredible. One of the most sophisticated, interactive and intuitive places I have ever been.
Wonderful historic landmarks! Not just beneficial for members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but very informative and intriguing for those of all faiths.
Was here working for Sundance. I did like the fire pit they have. Sunrises and sunsets were beautiful.
Gorgeous spot to visit. Cant wait to visit again when the renovations are all done!
Love this place cant wait to see what theyre going to do with it in the next 4 years
Beautifully landscaped. There are very nice missionaries there to tell you about Gods plan of happiness. And the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
The church history museum is fascinating. With all of the artifacts, stories they share, and the astonishing amount of information they have. It is always a must see if you cant decide.
It was beautiful. Visit the Church History Museum. They have a wonderful video about Joseph Smiths First Vision.
Great place to have a good family time or personal time love the peace you feel.
Not only does this place open at 9 instead of 10 like so many local attractions, but it is all free! With the exception of buying something from one of the charity vending machines (they bring them out at Christmas time so you can buy goats, farming tools, etc for people in 3rd world countries). I like that they keep the Church history museum kid-friendly (Im talking LITTLE kids, not 8 year olds; think toddlers!) by adding dress up a read with era clothing, touchscreen story-telling, wagon wheels you can spin, and so on. Also its so beautiful in the spring with all the amazing flowers, and then magical in winter with all the lights. There is so much history here, its a definite must see!
They attempted to convert me. They were quite nice about the whole thing. I respectfully decline.
Temple Square has the most spacious gardens and fountains. You can feel Gods present. We were like to hear the organ playing.
The movie about the First Vision was the best I have seen.
Good feeling when there. Christmas lights were great!
Such a great time. Wonderful history, great tour guides.
The feeling of peace love and hope. The friendly missionaries so helpful.

Its really beautiful!
Insecurity left me alone! Womens Suffrage event awesome also!
So beautiful and peaceful.
This is one of Americas major cults! Beware!
Night lights were pretty average. We were told it’s a spectacular event and worth every minute seeing. When my husband and I arrived we kind of laughed because it was all pretty basic. I’m not sure if they started to take some lights down (we went the second to last day) but there were a lot of gaps where we felt should have been lighting. We spent more time looking at the buildings around temple square than the lights!
Great place for Christmas lighting
Great Christmas concert schedule
Church History Museum is Awesome
Great place to take your family and walk around. The museum has hands on activities for children and the gift shop is so fun with a variety of items to choose from.

Incredible place with beautiful landscaping. The architecture also really captured my fascination. Its an amazing place to visit or learn more about the Mormon (LDS) religion for those who are curious.
Here you can learn about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, hear the organ, sometimes the choir, and be right in the heart of Salt Lake City. You can also visit the museum, the family history library and learn about yourself.
