The museum is pretty neat. However this part of Salt Lake has a homeless problem. Maybe if the museum moved their main entrance. There are certain things I don’t wish for my small children to see while entering the museum.
Took my granddaughter to Pompeii at Christmas 2019. I didnt like having to wait to get in. I did however, enjoy the display. At the end of the tour were some photographs of the dig above the plaster replica of the entombed bodies of the deceased. This had a profound impact on me as I began crying for the loss of human life in such a manner. Worth every moment of anticipation!
The Leonardo has never disappointed! Ive been for a few different exhibits, I always have a fantastic time and I always learn something new. Creative interactive educational areas make this place great for imaginative humans, and kids. The building itself is a work of art, beautiful.
I generally visit the Leonardo for the traveling exhibits which they showcase. My family and I have had the amazing opportunity to see many of these. My son is learning about the Roman Empire and is fascinated by Pompeii and volcanos. This exhibit (like all that weve seen here) was well done. You get to see many artifacts. I was surprised at just how well preserved they were.
We love the Leonardo! There are always interactive exhibits that keep each family member completely engaged. We easily spent 3 hours crafting, building, and learning. One of my favorites this time was Learning about how Leonardo Davinci made paint out of egg yolks. My two sons spent at least an hour folding airplanes and flying them throughout the flight exhibit! We also loved the Jackie Chan exhibit. We all made puppets and really enjoyed our day!
I always enjoy my visits to the Leonardo, busy or not...I dont let others determine how I choose to enjoy my experiences. I recently went for the Pompeii exhibit. It was definitely an eye opening experience. The only thing better would be traveling to Italy to see the full effect. Thank for housing this exhibit for a short time. It was great to learn more about Pompeii. I took pictures of everything on display...and shared a few on here.
Thoroughly enjoyed this museum. Loved the Pompeii exibit. The entire experience was phenomenal. We had to jugle our tickets around due to some travel challenges, and Haley made everything right. Seriously, spend some time here. Well worth the rime and money.
Interesting and educational museum for all ages. Then second floor has learning areas for children. There is also a small restaurant and souvenir shop attached. This museum is had a main floor all directed towards flights. They just recently opened a Pompeii exhibit which was really cool. The upstairs is huge with more things than you can imagine. Put aside atleast 2-3 hours to check everything out. If you’re visiting SLC and want to learn, this is the place to go.
We went for the Pompeii exhibit, you purchase your tickets and go wait in line, so as to limit the amount of people going through the artifacts. It was a nice way to regulate and limit the amount of people in the area. But, we were at the beginning, behind the rope and their were still people at the start. So much for the effort of separation, a weekday would have been a much better choice for me.As far as the exhibits, they were very informative and had a lot of information that you would have never learned or had seen anywhere else. When you had the chance of actually having a clear path.It was a great exhibit from beginning to end, and other than the clusters of people it was nice.We also went through the Flight exhibit and the other 5 consecutive exhibits.
Very cool! I went to see the Pompeii exhibit earlier this year, the first time I had ever been to the Leonardo. I was pleased with my experience! The Pompeii exhibit was well thought out, informative, and my ticket included access to the rest of the museum as well. I loved the flight exhibit - they had a flight simulator that was very cool. The top floor had exhibits that taught about design and music, which was also pretty awesome. What a great way to spend your Saturday!
Pompeii exhibit was and is amazing! I have been to Pompeii and Herculaneum, and I saw and learned so much️ thank you Leonardo. They even had souvenirs that I was not able to purchase in Pompeii.
We had so much fun here today. The Pompeii exhibition was amazing, and the flight section as well as the second floor was so much fun for our two year old. She had so much fun talking to all the workers, making art and doing science. We will be back!
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the Pompeii exhibit at the Leonardo. We were in Pompeii, Italy last year and toured the ruined city but all the artifacts had long since been removed and were displayed elsewhere. It was fascinating to see things like the bowls and plates they ate off of, the jewelry they wore, the artwork from their homes, the statues, and hear descriptions of much of what was on display with the audio equipment. The grand finale of the tour is poignant and touching. Well worth the price.
We love this museum! There are so many interactive activities for adults and kids. You can learn about science, art, and inventing. They have an exhibit that is always changing about humanism as well. It caters so well--exhibitz that just adults can enjoy, exhibits just for kids, and exhibits for all.
Arrived 30min before closing (my fault) so didnt get to enjoy it as much as I couldve :(But really cool place to visit! Would definetly have to go back to check out other exhibits!Youre never too old for slides...
Ive been here quite a few times, always for the featured exhibits and a couple of times for the adults wine and dine events. Its always fun, informative and the exhibits are always very good. They have some different classes for adults and children that you can take part in, and while I havent done any, they sound fun and I need to get back and try them. They also have a little gift shop that sells educational stuff and of course items from the featured exhibit. As well as coffee, sodas, wine and food. You can take your chance on street parking or just park in the libraries underground car park, which connects to the Leonardo. For me this is much easier and what I personally recommend. If youre looking for something different, educational or just want to get out and do something. Id recommend the Leonardo!
The Pompeii exhibit was phenomenal. It closes March 6 so go see it soon!! We also loved the exhibit on flight and are considering getting a family pass.
The museum has had some great exhibits! It has lots of “on-hands” activities for children whenever possible. Depending on the exhibit, you could be in there for hours looking at loads if Interesting stuff. If you are a student, you can get in at great prices
We went to see the Pompeii exhibit. It was amazing. The price was reasonable and the pieces were breathtaking. The history and audio was great. What an amazing and sad part of history brought to our little state. Thank you!
I absolutely love The Leonardo Museum. It has definitely become one of my favorite museums! They currently have a Pompeii exhibit (until May, I believe) and, as a History lover, and Pompeii fanatic, I absolutely loved it. My wife was in awe, as well. The exhibit was well organized. The entire museum usually is, and its affordable. Id definitely recommend that anyone in Utah that hasnt been to The Leonardo, and anyone outside of Utah visiting Salt Lake, checks it out. It is definitely worth it.
So much to see and do. Plan on stopping and really enjoying the different exhibits. The Pompeii exhibit does have Greek and Roman statues of people in the nude. It is tastefully done, but children should be prepped for that. But seeing artifacts 2000+ years old is priceless. Love the hands-on area on the second floor with the Legos, illusions, and marble wall.
I really enjoyed the Pompeii exhibit. They put on a good show. I felt sorry for the dog, however. It appears that it was in a lot of pain before it died.
My wife are from Portland, Oregon and we visited the museum a few weeks ago and thought the museum was incredible. The staff was all highly engaged and very knowledgeable in their own crafts. I met with a man working behind the desk on the second floor that works professionally as a photographer. We were having conversations about the museum until I got a glance at some of his personal work. I then realized that I recognized this mans work. One of his projects has been on display in Portland for about a year now. His work as a photographer, and museum staff was exceptional. I am glad that the Leonardo staffs the employees they do. They made the experience well worth it!
After one of my best friends returned from a trip to Italy with pictures from the city of Pompeii, I was delighted to hear of an opportunity to see these artifacts in person. A group of seven of us made the trip to the Leonardo and we enjoyed the audio tour, as well as just the walking through. I dont know if I would have learned as much without the audio tour, especially if I didnt have my friend with me. The audio tour had a lot of good information. Although it did seem that some of the numbers were not in order.the artifacts they were able to recover from Pompeii are simply incredible. The detail on the pottery, oil lamps, jewelry, everything was so incredibly preserved. This is my first time visiting the Leonardo but I would definitely come back for another visit.
The Pompeii exhibit was good if not a bit expensive ($25+ $5 for audio for adults and $20 for children). Additionally, the museum and staff appears extremely disorganized. Be prepared to wait around a lot.
Great little museum to check out in Utah. We finished it pretty fast but it was a nice little place to visit. Had the chance to see a mini movie about aviation and the crafts that were built but didnt make it, got to sit in an old plane (photo ops) and did a few other little activities. Not a bad place to visit, just a little short.
Really cool place. Went mainly for the Pompeii Exhibit, but much more to see and do. Some of the interactive displays were out of order, but still worth a visit!
This museum has amazing special exhibits, like the Dead Sea Scrolls, a Mummy Exhibit, and a human body exhibit. However, their more permanent exhibits are less amazing. They have ok interactive exhibits for kids. Many of the activity tables were not stocked. The entry fee for special exhibits is usually an addition to the entry fee, and it is usually expensive ($25 per person and $20 for kids). They do not allow photos in special exhibits. The elevator needs maintenance, but the bathroom was clean.
We saw the airplane exhibit and the Pompeii exhibit. I love museums and this one was just okay. Great subject matter but left a little bit to be desired. The plaques for information and audio tour devices were quite often so low or in odd places that they were easily missed when there is a crowd. (Im 5 7) I did like the video of the 3D models of the inside of the homes of Pompeii.
I went to the Pompeii exhibit. It was very cool to see such ancieng artifacts and learn more about this time period and awful tradgedy. I went about noon and it wasnt busy at all.
Went to see the Pompeii exhibit for Pompeii after dark, and was pleasantly surprised. We just recently had returned from Italy and visited Pompeii. This was almost like an added treat to see the exhibit. Staff was nice and friendly. We lucked out and found street parking. The cafe was nice, the cheddar broccoli soup was delicious. Highly recommend it. Tickets were a bit over priced for such a small exhibit and the description was a bit misleading. But still worth it.
Great museum, theres really something here for every age. We were in the cockpit of the military plane and a retired Air Force pilot happened to be in there at the same time. It was pretty cool, he was showing us how everything worked. Definitely coming back for the next traveling exhibit.
Phenomenal museum! We came here for the Leonardo exhibit but rest of the resume was fantastic as well. There are a TON of activities for kids and you could easily spend half a day here.
The Leo is a much smaller museum than most Ive attended which has its ups and downs. The staff were very interactive, helpful and friendly, especially when on of the escalators was out of service for the Pompeii exhibition. The smaller scale means you get to be up close and much more interactive with the exhibits, although other museums may have twice the content. Perfect for all ages and you dont need to plan a whole day just to see everything. But a lot of the interactive exhibits werent cleaned up with new supplies, but a lot of old drawings or scraps from previous visits which made the experience a little less enjoyable for me. But I cant wait to see what their next exhibition is!
Full disclosure, I had a free entry pass so I didnt pay and cant speak to the price point. I sure enjoyed the flight exhibit! They had a little wind tunnel that my kiddos could place paper helicopters in and watch them soar. We made self portraits, puppets, and played with a green screen. They also had a MASSIVE Lego collection for kids to play and build with.
It’s much smaller than I anticipated but a great mid size museum. I really liked the informative exhibit on the human body and the positive messages that it included! The stairs that were once an escalator was a clever idea — there are no broken escalators just escalators that become stairs.
We went to see the Pompeii exhibit and it was pretty impactful. We didnt check out the rest of the museum but it definitely looked like it is a family friendly place that would be good for younger kids. The Trax light rail system stops just a couple blocks away at the Courthouse stop, so if you dont want to drive there - I dont enjoy driving down there at all - just hop on the train or bus and get off nearby.
The Pompeii exhibit is really interesting! The rest of the space is a bit empty though. As long as they have an exhibit going on, probably worth the visit... if you can find anyplace within 2 blocks to park, and then push your way through the small army of homeless people camping right up to the doors of the building, anyway.Thats not the museums fault though, so Im keeping this at 4 stars; even though the homeless masses & open drug use make every trip to downtown SLC at best a 2-3 star adventure. :/
The Leonardo is an excellent establishment. I love this place. These are images from the recent exhibit Pompeii.
What an absolutely cluster.. you buy tickets online, only to stand in a longer line than the daily ticket line... people buy tickets online to ease the process. They need a better system for sure! Not to mention a very rude lady who had a horrible attitude, whom when ask about the process said “that was your choice” as her explanation. Probably won’t come back.
I thought this place was adorable! My partner and I came here on the last day of our vacation before moving here and were carrying around our luggage. The staff offered to hold our stuff in the back and we had a great time looking through everything! It was very well kept and I loved the artistic vibe throughout the museum!
This is a very fun and beautiful place. The outside is deceiving in the way that it’s not very artistic-looking. When you go inside, it’s strikingly well done with many fun things to do for children. If you’re an adult, it will bring out the child-like wonder in you. They bring museum pieces from around the world for all to enjoy. How amazing is that? These folks bring the world to us, for a meager amount of money to enter. Could you imagine what it would cost to travel to a whole other country to see some of these priceless treasures? The Leonardo is one of my local faves.
My family and I visited the Leonardo Museum to see the Pompeii exhibit. I really enjoyed it, though I would have enjoyed it more if it weren’t so busy. The layout of the exhibit did not accommodate the amount of visitors well at all (waiting in lines to see EVERY artifact, and those lines impeded other lines waiting to see different artifacts; literally standing on the platform off of the escalator because there was nowhere else to stand because of the line waiting to see the artifacts just off of the escalator area, etc). I liked it but it could have been better. After Pompeii, my family and I toured the rest of the museum. Besides the flight exhibit area, I was disappointed. There was so much reading! Now, I am not opposed to a good read (I’m an English teacher by trade), but with little kids, it was hard to keep their attention long enough to get the information to them. The interactive portions were not sufficient to balance out the amount of reading required. While we had a good time at the LEGO table, I don’t need to pay the entrance fees in order to do that. I probably won’t visit again.
We have been to the Leonardo many times, but going for the Pompeii exhibit was my favorite visit so far. The only negative thing I have to say about the outing is that it was PRICEY!! Watch for a Groupon to save a few bucks. BUT, it was an incredible exhibit. Lots of interesting artifacts and memorabilia. The theater experience is a MUST, and just wait for room #4...it is amazing and surreal. The staff were all very helpful to my daughter that was using a scooter for a broken ankle. She was able to get upstairs and back downstairs with their help. The Pompeii exhibit is a must see before May!!
Went on a field trip here with my daughter. I didnt even know it existed. Sadly lots of things were out of order and there just wasnt much to see in here. However a few of the exhibits were enjoyable.
My friend and I had gone for the pompei exhibit and that was good. It was a bit crowded so you couldnt really see everything. But something I did like is you got admissions to the rest of the exhibits as well and that was really fun. Id defintly go back again for just the exhibits that are always there.
Fun museum a little on the pricy side, but when they have one of their visiting collections it is generally worth it. They do have a lot of cool things in general though and some fun stuff for kids. I love the Alive exhibit.
The Pompeii exhibit was amazing. The only downside was it was too crowded to spend much time looking at each individual item.
The exhibit was amazing. The building was not designed with wheelchairs or walkers in mind. The lovely staff were very helpful getting us to the elevator (escalators to the second floor for everyone else), but I learned my lesson. Dont go on a Saturday when its super crowded when you have a mobility device.
We went to see the Pompeii exhibit. It was presented exceptionally well and lead you through the last days. It had amazing relics and pictures from the excavation. Well worth the time to explore.
Visited the Pompeii exhibit today. Loved the layout and the chance to see the artifacts as well as the famous castings of the people. It felt very personal, and then objects were highly varied. However, I was very disappointed with the personnel who performed the introduction. She kept telling us to get our party energy up, and making comments telling us it is just like Disneyland. Tried to get us to fist pump the air and chant. Seemed very disrespectful to try to promote a party atmosphere since so many people lost their lives in Pompeii and the human castings were being displayed. Not very professional.
My low rating comes mainly from the really awkward experience for wheelchair users: to experience the Pompeii exhibit, we had to go through a back door with at least an inch of lip in the threshold which was very hard to push my sisters chair over, around to the elevator, up a floor, through a section marked do not enter and past a rope to get back into the exhibit. And then through the entire circus again to get back downstairs to the rest of the exhibit. The bathrooms are also particularly difficult to get in and out of. Overall, the experience would have been much better with some planning toward disabled patrons.
Went to see the Pompeii exhibit with son. I was visiting from California. Im super glad we went! A gem for sure! Ill be back again to see the new exhibits!
The Pompeii exhibit was truly amazing with all the artifacts that were made before 1ADMostly from copper. And gold jewelry with incredible detail and sophisticationThe surgical instruments were very cool. The displays were a little expensive for what we saw but overall an enjoyable experience.
Very informative. Had the chance to visit Pompeii 20 years ago. Unfortunately I couldnt take photos of the artifacts and humans frozen in time.
Lets talk about an amazing experience. Whether you have kids or not this museum is a fun interactive learning zone for any age. By myself I easily spent a few hours wandering around engaging in and exploring everything they had to offer.
We went to the Pompeii exhibit here. The museum is a very nice facility. We enjoyed our time there. I would have liked a few more items/displays in the exhibit. But, other than that, it was a great visit.
Beautiful, informative, engaging exhibits. Some mainstay features are out of order or very worn out. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Its a small museum but is well done. There is street parking in front but have to navigate around the encampment which is less than desirable. Parking around the opposite side under the library is probably the best play.
We went with our family that had and annual pass, and it was only 8.95 a person. We had the best time! From sliding down to an air plane to playing for an hour with hug bins full of legos, to checking out the Jackie Chan exhibit we had an incredible time.It is great for kids and adults a like. We had four adults and six kids and we all learned new things and enjoyed incredible and beautiful sites. We got to thanksgiving point often, and I was worried that it would be crazy the day we went. (Presidents Day) And it was not! There were small crowds and everyone got to do everything with little to no wait!Cant wait to go again!
Love this place been going since I was a kid! I have great memories here!! Thank you!
The Pompeii exhibit was interesting, but I think there could of been more things to look at for the admission cost. Seemed limited. What we did see was good.
Finally found time to go visit the new Pompeii exhibit! As someone who loves archaeology, I thought the exhibit was very well done and entertaining. There was lots to look at and read and they allowed non flash photography so I could get pictures of some of the pieces to show my stepfather who also likes this sort of thing. Admission to Pompeii includes admission to the rest of the Leonardo and we got to walk around and learn things after as well just before they closed. I loved them saving the casts of the bodies for last, and the board showing the depth of each layer of ash and such was also interesting. I loved that some of the bodies had a larger picture behind them showing where they were found and their surroundings. It was also interesting to see the exposed ribs of the one kneeling. If youre squeamish you might not want to look at that one or the dog though. Going through each section of how a home would generally be was very cool, we thought it was cool some of their cookware was very similar to the way it looks today. The 4D bit was brilliant and ominous. I heavily suggest seeing the Pompeii exhibit before it leaves!
It was absolutely amazing!!! Such a wonderful experience for my 8 year old boy. Having the audio was a nice touch. The whole thing was very moving. Especially the end where they have the preserved bodies of humans buried.
Amazing childrens museum and STEM exploration, weaving together several forms of art, history, and exploration for all ages. Brought my kids (14, 7) and spent the entire day- and could have spent more. One of the better such museums I have ever been to. Excellent!
Always such a wonderful experience. My family and I went to see the Pompeii exhibit and overall it was wonderful. The only downside of going on a Saturday afternoon is that it was also really busy. Ive seen other exhibits at The Leonardo and they really put a lot of work into them.
We enjoyed the Pompeii exhibit and the hands-on activities for kids and families
We went to the Pompeii exhibit. It was well done and pleasant to walk through. The other exhibits were interactive and geared toward children. Also very interesting. They allow birthday parties for children there. It looked like fun.
I went there on a field trip for my job and it was on of the more successful field trips of the year. They have really interesting and engaging exhibits! The kids got to paint with marbles and take their art home. They really enjoyed it.
Loved the Pompeii exibit. I went for my Birthday. It was super crowded though and they were letting so many people in at one time it was hard to enjoy the exhibit. People were letting one family member stay in line while others wandered the rest of the museum and then bringing six people in when they got to front of the line so everyone who had been there had to wait even longer.
Great museum with wonderful exhibits. Be aware that even if you buy tickets online you are expected to stand in the same line as non-ticket holders so expect a wait. And museum staff are not overly kind or helpful.
This place was pretty cool. It was very interactive for the kids. There were a lot of different little craft or project stations, like this giant lego pit. They have a huge plane on the first floor that is open to play in and the kids had a lot of fun on that. The only reason it didnt get five stars is because of the cost of admission. It isnt crazy expensive, I would say its an average price. If you want to visit the Pompeii part, that is extra and WAY WAY out of my price range. For one child it is $20, for an adult its $25.
Went to the Leonardos Pompeii exhibit: not enough content for $25 per adult ticket, long lines, only 30-45 minutes walk through but the add-on of the flight exhibit helps. A documentary on Pompeii would be more informative, and you wouldnt have to wade through the homeless tent city on Library Square.
The exhibits are usually pretty cool. But over priced. Especially considering I do not feel safe waking from my car to the Leonardo unless Im armed or with a large man. There is unfortunately a large homeless camp out front and while most of these people are minding their own business..... There are enough hostile drug addicts that make it not worth it. PLEASE MOVE THIS MUSEUM AWAY FROM DOWNTOWN!!!
The Pompeii exhibit was really cool. I have always loved that time frame. The other exhibits were small but there were some pretty cool things
We love the Leo! Weve seen all the big exhibits that have been there for the last several years. Going during the day on a weekday has been a much better experience than going on a weekend day FYI.
I saw the POMPEII exhibit which was amazing. I just felt like they could have devoted a little more space to the exhibit. It was a bit crowded despite the staff controlling the number of people entering together.
Great exhibits. The only reason for the 4 start instead of 5 start is because it is a little pricey for my taste. Theres are several exhibits that my kids would enjoy but with 7 kids under 18 that would simply be way too expensive for an outgoing.
Just adore this museum. Really strong education and interpretation. Has tons of things you can only see here. Traveling exhibits are always top notch. Memberships are wellPriced and full of perks. Love the Pompeii exhibit.
Enjoyable place to visit especially when the traveling shows come around and great to kill some time.
Pompeii was a wonderful exhibit. The museum has many hands-on areas for children and inquisitive adults as well. I went on a Thursday afternoon in January. Very, very few people. Great visit!
The museum was a cross between a planetarium, aerospace, and a childrens museum. It didnt do any of them very well. We went to the Pompey exhibit which was better. I enjoyed seeing some of the plaster images in person that Ive seen on history channel documentaries.
Great museum. The first floor had all sorts of aviation artifacts including a flight simulator and an old C130. The second floor had things to trick your eyes, a lifesize erector set, crafts, science experiments, and a virtual reality machine along with a section about the human body. Each hour there was an activity. My kids really liked it.
Pompeii exhibit was wonderful, but staff were not very professional. They made people wait and were just not that on top of things. Also, chairs need to be provided for the videos. After an hour in the exhibit, standing the whole time, we only found four chairs in the room for the Vesuvius eruption video. There were at least twenty people. That is pretty bush league. I hope they can work these bugs out and get a really professional ooeration.
A nice active place for kids and adults. Loved the Pompeii exhibit. Although, I think speakers and microphones for event staff would be really helpful.
A surprisingly delightful museum conveniently located in the heart of Salt Lake City. The staff was friendly and helpful. The facility is the repurposed main library. There is plenty of street parking. Plan on about 2 hours. Richferguson143 with Siobhan OConnor
Pompeii exhibit was very neat, but wow what a large crowd of people. So many you had to stand in line to be able to get a chance to read exhibits.
Interesting exhibits. Ive visited for the Body Worlds exhibit, Dead Sea Scrolls, Pompeii exhibit, and took my nephews to the childrens area. Overall a great educational experience, but smaller than expected.
We did the main exhibits, not the special exhibits, with our teenage son. We arrived at 11 and stayed for an hour and a half. It’s not like the Exploratorium in San Francisco, but for Salt Lake it’s pretty good. The flight exhibition, while informative, was a bit disappointing. We mostly enjoyed the upstairs interactive exhibits. We found the staff friendly and helpful.
We were here on a school field trip and it was wonderful! They have everything so organized and there was always someone available to help us when we needed it. The class was age appropriate and lots of fun. The kids loved being able to view the museum in small groups so they could spend as much time as they wanted on each exhibit. The only downside was that some of the interactive exhibits were missing tablets, headphones or the simulations were not working. I hope that was just the day of our visit, but a few looked like they hadnt been working for a while.Overall, I would definitely recommend a field trip to the Leonardo!
I went for the Pompeii Exhibit and it was extraordinary. The only downfall is that once you exit the exhibit you cannot re-enter. And that the coffee shop in the gift shop was not open during either of my visits.
It had closed before we got there even though online it said they closed later. When we walked in, two employees looked up from the desk, but didnt say anything. I initiated conversation and was asking about pricing before either of them mentioned they were closed. Not very helpful or friendly. We will attempt to go back since we bought a groupon, but it will have to be on a weekend since they close at 5.
I like this museum, but it needs some serious love. Without a major exhibit, the Leonardo would be out of business, which is a shame. We need to have some assistance and more patronage here to get more and better exhibits rotating through.
I hung out with the 9th grade geography students on a field trip to The Leonardo. Very cool museum. More spacious on the inside then you would think by looking at the outside. Lots of interactive things to do. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The Pompeii exhibit is super cool.
The Pompeii exhibit was really interesting. Im glad I went overall. However, unless you are going with young children, the rest of the museum is a waste. With the admission price to the Pompeii exhibit, you also get general admission to the rest of the leonardo which is simply just a room with activities for children to do and some airplanes and facts. I cant say that $25 is a fair price for this compared to other museums in the area. Parking is hard to find on the street and costly ($1.50 per half hour) underground for the library.
Good experience at this museum. We had free admission with our community exploration card and this is the first time we’ve visited other than the time they had the bodies exhibit. The parking around the building is at least $5 for 2 hours- FYI. Seeing how flight has progressed and the science behind aerodynamics was fascinating. It’s amazing to think about how flight can develop further in the future. I found it insightful to see more of what Leonardo Davinci journaled about regarding flight, anatomy, maps and city planning. Kids loved the LEGOs. I would have liked to attend something with more human interaction. Only one of the flight simulators was working and it didn’t operate as I thought it did with changing seat position etc. It was fun making little paper helicopters fly and I thought seeing the Niel Armstrong broadcast from the moon was cool but kids got tired of it quickly. Educational and fascinating experience overall. Will return once in awhile.
The Pompeii Exhibit was really awesome! I just wish they had more exhibits after that, instead of airplanes. But great museum and great staff
Visited the Pompeii exhibit. Was great. The other exhibits were great as well, kids really had fun and learned many things.
We had a great time visiting the Leonardo museum. All the interactive activities were great for our toddler and as adults we had fun too. Would definitely come again! Thank you Kyndell for helping us around and all your events are amazing!
