Very nice but can be confusing to get to. The entrance to the trail is at the end of the parking lot for Salem Greens Golf Course. If youve made it there, youre well on your way to a nice wooded adventure.

Nice walk, especially with young children. Unfortunately some dog owners do not pick up after their dogs and leave feces on the trails.

Large woods with marked trails. Great for watching trains go by.

Salem woods is a great beginner/ intermediate trail with beautiful scenery. However, much if the oaths are overgrown and not taken care of very well. There are parts where the path can be very rocky as well.

Very clean, I didnt see any trash while walking. If you are going to get here by GPS put in the golf course, otherwise google will just take you to the nearest edge of the woods, not somewhre that you can park.

Path markings arent super clear, but it was a great walk with more variety than Id expected. Definitely worth checking out.

We had a little difficulty finding the trailhead and had to put the golf course into waze to find it. Once there, it was a beautiful location. Moderate trail difficulty with roots, rocks and changes in elevation throughout. Nice vistas and very few people. It could use more markings because it was hard to follow the map. Generally, we didnt know where we were or how long it would take to get back (could definitely use a would-be eagle scout to fix it) . Overall, however, we had a great time and it was a nice hike!

Use the parking lot at olde Salem greens. A little overgrown but otherwise a good hike. Saw a couple of hawks, a deer, chipmunks and a variety of birds.

Nice little forest getaway tucked away in the middle of Salem. Though unfortunately you can still hear plenty of road noise reminding you that youre not all that far from civilisation.

Nice trail although I was annoyed that the government hadn’t done a very good job in drowning all the witches in these woods. Had to finish the job myself.

The view over the marsh is awesome well worth the walk. The blazes are not always totally clear but there are not too many paths to get lost on.

Great little conservation area in Salem Massachusetts. Park at the golf course, pick up a map and follow the yellow trail around for an hour or two of relaxing explorations
