My first time visiting the Cinebarre, and I was very impressed. The staff was polite and helpful, the auditorium was clean and spacious. My only two complaints are that I felt the volume was WAY too high, and it made it difficult to enjoy the movie at certain parts (we saw Tenet). My second complaint is the saltiness of the popcorn, for the most part it tasted fine and it actually had a good amount of butter. But occasionally you’d find an extremely salty piece.

“If you enjoyed your service, feel free to tip.”Why encourage patrons to feel like they don’t have to tip when these servers are waiting on them hand and foot, doing their best to be quiet and out of the way? You should be ashamed that every one of your order forms basically says tipping isn’t expected or required and that not tipping is perfectly fine. I bet your poor servers make minimum wage and get stiffed all the time. Disgusting business practice.

The new menu changes have added a couple of frustrations.First, drink sizes. We go out as a family and I don’t really want to order 32oz sodas for my kids. They look at your crazy when you ask for just a small cup of soda (even if we pay the same price) and then a large water. Why is their standard procedure to bring out a giant 32oz glass of sugar water and a tiny disposable cup of water?Second, why move to disposable menus and never replace them. The menus are torn, water damaged, sticky and overall gross. The reusable ones weren’t great either, but at least they were semi durable.

My husband and I used to love this movie theater but it seems to have gone down hill recently. The last 3 months we have had two bad experiences and the managers don’t want to do anything to help. The first time we never got our food which we ordered before the movie stared. I flagged the waiter down 3 different times and he kept saying he would bring it out. We watched other people get their food and then seconds. Finally we cancelled our order and they still brought us a receipt for the food! We had to go out of our way to find a manager and argue our bill. When I asked to be comped the sodas (we got those after about 45 min of waiting) for the inconvenience he said he couldn’t do that and if I wanted I could email their manager online. The second time I was this Christmas when we went to see Star Wars. I purchased the tickets 2 weeks before Christmas. We arrived about 40 min before the movie and we’re surprised by no line. Well, when we got into the theater it was packed with no where to sit and there were about 5 other groups looking around trying to find a seat. Once again, I had to go find a manager and he said they overbooked and he would be okay if we went into the 3D movie instead of came back later and walked away. When we asked for an explanation he simply said again that the movie was overbooked and he had those two options for us. At that time we asked for a refund and he said he could“Try” because we had purchased the movie on a gift card. He finally got it back to us after telling us we had to wait in line at the bar to tell them that we wanted to get a refund. We watched about 10 other groups get told the same thing and some of them went into the 3D line and other said they would come back. So basically, people who paid for their tickets before hand for the 3D and later show would be in the same boat as we were. It was ridiculous and terribly disappointing. We do not plan on going back.

Up until our last 3 visits, the rating would have been a 5 star rating. We go to this theatre because we can have dinner at the same time, its very comfortable and we go to a LOT of movies (the month of August alone we went to see 5 movies). That being said, Ive lowered our rating to a 3 star because the menu has changed and in our opinion it is not better. I always get a salad. It used to be served in a stainless steal bowl with a real fork. Now it is served on a tray with paper and a plastic fork. I wont eat a salad like that as the paper gets soggy and in the dark I cant see if Im getting paper or salad plus its hard to eat salad with a flimsy little fork. Believe me, I know because I ordered my usual when the menu first changed and the salad was served this way and it was not enjoyable to eat. We went with family this weekend to celebrate 2 birthdays and I asked for the salad like I used to get it, was told they dont do that anymore but my server would ask the kitchen about it. My husband ordered his burger with no onion, no pickle and yes we wrote it down that way. He got it with both. They never came back to tell me they couldnt give me the salad in a bowl or offer another choice on the menu so I ended up eating the burger and my husband ate the fries. Neither of us really wanted a burger but since they took away the chicken strips and fries (my husbands usual) replacing it with a chicken and waffle basket, yuck, there isnt a lot to choose from unless you go with pizza. We did order the chicken and waffle basket on our 2 visits prior to this last one, giving it an honest try and on both occasions it was not good in our opinion. Both times the chicken was over cooked, dry and hard. If the menu offerings stay like this we most likely wont be eating there and it wont be nearly as enjoyable as it has been. Please reconsider this menu change and bring back the chicken strip basket for my husband, if nothing else. I could bring my own bowl and fork I guess and transfer my salad when I get it.........thank you in advance for your consideration about the menu.

So far Ive enjoyed this place and like the fact you can order from your seats. Although not a fan of the drink down sizing and still charging almost 6 bucks and no refills. Aside from that everything else is ok and tickets arent too expensive like the regular Regal theatres and also no military discounts either. But the fact you have refillable popcorn is a plus, just wish the drinks were.

I havent been to theater since Avengers End Game came out. I am very particular about what movies I spend my money on. I knew that Regal had purchased Cinebarre and I had hoped that they would keep everything that made this place special.I was sad to see that when I went to see Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker, there were seats in disrepair, the food menu showed a significant price hike, and my popcorn no longer came in the metal bowl but a paper bucket bowl and the drinks came in paper cups just like any normal run of the mill theater with of course the Regal Logo on everything.I chose this theater because it was special, it provided an experience. While I enjoyed my movie, I was bummed out by the significant lack of an experience that I enjoy the theater for.

Customer service training for new Millennial staff would go far in improving overall experience. Tendency when asking questions is a response of I dont know rather than having a clear escalation path for either providing customers with answers via a supervisor inquiry or being able to accurately direct customers to staff who can provide assistance when needed. This has been a frequent occurrence in my experience and one that I believe can be easily improved upon with some additional staff training for those at the front window and the staff who greet customers inside the front door to take tickets. Example: going to a 3D movie and on 2 occasions being directed to the ticket taker for glasses. When giving my movie ticket, again having to ask for 3d glasses and having a response of I dont know, I dont have any here in one case, and the second instance in a separate occassion being I dont have any.. youll have to back to the cashier to get those. After going back outside and waiting in line a second time, I conveyed my frustration having been been told to return outside for the glasses. I appreciated that the cashier took the time at the moment to step away and retrieve the glasses from staff behind the front kiosk doors. No apology which wasnt a show stopper. I mentioned it would be helpful to have someone retrieve a volume of glasses to give to the young gentleman taking tickets inside the front door. Otherwise, my experience at Cinebarre has always been positive and the staff are friendly and courteous. I am a frequent customer and Cinebarre is my first go-to theatre in Salem for a relaxing movie night.

Went with a large group of friends to see the new avengers film “End Game” here. Had a great time. The theater is quite large so a group of like 20 of us were able to sit in a row. I didn’t buy any food or drinks as they seemed out of my price range. However, some of my friends got food and drink which they all said they enjoyed.Overall I would say this is an interesting and unique idea for a movie theater. If you want the food it’s great. While the cinabarre is cool I sometimes just want a classic normal movie theater.

I try and promote most anything in downtown Salem, but our most recent trip was a big let down. The advantage they had over their rivals was the food and wealth of menu options. Unfortunately they decided to change things and took away the two biggest sellers on the menu, enough of a change that their own staff complained to us! It seems ticket “inventory” is more important than getting people into the theatre in a timely fashion. Alejandra, the manager, spent almost 30 minutes trying to figure out how to print a ticket for an Unlimited member while we waited in line - as the movie started and ran. Customer Service is not a priority, and her snitty attitude didn’t help. I hadn’t walked out on a movie BEFORE I actually went into the theatre, so this was a first. I am not convinced the Unlimited program is worth the cost. I recommend you not see movies at the Cinebarre 7 theatre in Salem - it is readily apparent the customer customer isn’t thier top priority.

One of the reasons we selected cinabarre was because it said on the advertisement “kid friendly”, well that is a false advertisement as they allowed us to go in one time with my 3 month old grandson and less than two weeks later they said they had changed their policy, so they didn’t allow us to enter ( we were going to watch Lion King) so I guess next time you take your kids to this theater make sure you only take the 2 year olds and above and leave the babies at home because you will not be allowed to come in to watch a movie for kids, ridiculous how the manager at that moment said our rules are changing constantly, whatever! You just lost a lot of business because we always go with a big group of 10 and more and now you won’t have our business, remember you are not the only Theater in town we have options and going forward we will go to those options. If you are showing kids movies expect families with little ones to attend, and don’t be so ridiculous about it, we understood we could have been asked to leave if the baby was disruptive but you didn’t even give us a chance like the previous time, just very upset at this place

This place can never seem to get its act together. The only thing that has ever been consistent is the odor when you walk in the main lobby. There are aspects that are great: the friendly staff (when they are in a good mood), the food (when its hot), the alcohol selection (when it rotates), and the popcorn (when they are repeatedly reminded not to put butter on it).Ive had visits where everything seems to be going really good, and then I realize the menu has changed. Sometimes, we get the normal, have you been here before, and sometimes the server doesnt say a word and acts like they have better things to do.Ive had butter put on the popcorn every.single.time. when I request NO butter. Its like its a joke. The flavored popcorns are pretty good. Well, actually, the sweet Sriracha is good, we havent had the other ones since its advertised incorrectly, or they run out.The pool tables are a nice addition, though. I used to come here frequently because there were alot of food options to choose that you wouldnt find at any other theater. The new menu change on my most recent visit, sadly, is less varied and wasnt much different than the typical movie theater in options. Theater is okay, just nothing to make me keep wanting to drive here rather than some other closer theater.
