First time this theater and it was an incredible experience. Movies for $4. They have 3 theaters and the seats are very comfortable. Its set up with tables in front of the chairs with lots of leg room. You can order a variety of food and drinks and they bring your food to you before the movie starts and they clean up when you leave. Best movie experience Ive ever had. Definitely will be going there again.

My daughter and I enjoyed a movie here. I’ve been going to this theater for 15 years now and I absolutely love this place! Cheap tickets, they sell food AND alcohol. This is a great family place located in the south Salem neighborhood. You guys rock!

I have nothing but good things to say about Northern Lights. Went there to watch the Super Bowl, go KC. Northern lights rocks. The food is really good. The prices are very reasonable. And the staff is always friendly and helpful. Me and my girlfriend have been going for years,and always have a good time. From movies to stand up comedy and sporting events. Theres no other place in Salem that can really compare.

Fantastic date night and the prices are afordable for delicious food. Check out the light greek wrap or taco salad. If you order a large youll want to share because the portions are enormous. Staff is friendly, welcoming and funny. One time, we arrived and there were not two seats available together, they have us generous complimentary tickets to another show.

This theater is hidden behind the Panda Express and Chipotle building on Commercial. One picture is coming from the north and the other the south (Id say which ones, but Google keeps changing the order).This a great second run movie theater. Decent meals are available, as well as dessert. The plus is the beer, wine, and cider; however - unfortunately - that is not served at the earlier movies (before 4).

If you want to dine at the Ritz dont go here but if you want a nice movie and meal at a very reasonable price then this is the place to go.Good food that isnt way over priced. Inexpensive films. Comfortable seats. Friendly service. What else is there to say? Try it out for yourself and see how you like it.

Ive had less than stellar experiences at Northern Lights before, but nothing ever malicious... Always because of so many people attending. Todays visit was exemplary. The staff was friendly, no wait times in lines, the food was excellent as always, and the movies were good. I cant wait to go back again.

Cheap ticket prices for slightly older movies, good food, beer, & service. I was pleased with my visit, would definitely return hopefully after Covid19

One of our favorites! Great price, good food and beverages to consume during the show, clean facility! A really nice alternative to first run theatres if you either miss a film or can wait a couple months to see it.

Dont go to the movies often but we had wanted to try this for awhile. We went with another couple. I enjoyed it! It was clean and the staff were polite and helpful. The cost for the movie was very reasonable, $4.00. The food was as you would expect a bit high but not exorbitant. My hamburger and garlic parmesan fries was about $12 and quite good. Be careful of the desserts. My wife had a half sunday and it was almost more than she could eat. My hot apple crisp and ice cream was fantastic and I had to share it with 2 other people! There was plenty of room to enjoy your meal and the staggered starts of the movies keep the lobby from being to crowded. Check their website for the menu and tips on when to show up and how things work. We had a good time and will be back.

We just had a birthday party here and it was so much fun. Everything was perfect and Brandi was amazing coordinating everything for us! We had a kids party but this would also be a great adult gathering/party spot.

Beautiful place, very unique. The staff is friendly, and the watching experience is superb. The sound quality is spot on, and the visuals are really good. The only way the experience would be better is if the seats would recline back a little bit.

Ive been coming to Northern lights since their opening. The food is consistently good with reasonable prices and good portions. The theater is always clean and the movies sound and look good and are easily viewed from anywhere in the room. Employees are always quick, friendly and helpful. The only complaints I have are the theater seats are kind of odd, if I sat all the way back in the seat, my butt went further than the edge of the seat cushion at the back so there was a little bit of empty space at the back of my chair and the back edge of the seat cushion dug into me. The last few times Ive gone, the theater has also been pretty crowded and theres been almost no parking and Ive had to park around the corner at the very back of the lot and walk. Its not a very long walk but I feel uncomfortable walking back to my car alone in the dark to an area that no one can see so to those walking to their cars alone be cautious.

I had a great time. Staff was helpful.. Food overall, not bad.. Just like any movie theater, food prices are going to be higher than normal at other establishments. I myself didnt let this discourage me from ordering any food to eat while I watched my show. And yes they do have alcohol there as well..

Honestly, we gave this a try and wont be going back. In theory the idea of a pub movie theater sounds like a great idea. But if the food is terrible, youd be better off ordering delivery, and watching the movie in the comfort of your own home. This one of these places an entrepreneur should buy, completely give it a make over, hire actual cooks and really make something of it.

If you cant afford the prices of the other movie houses in Salem, and you dont mind waiting awhile, you get to see top notch movies at a much reduced price....good for my wallet. Seating is cool with tables to hold your food orders...and its great food. I like the relaxed atmosphere.

Amazing value, excellent customer services and decent food. See a movie and have dinner for the price you would pay to see a movie at another theater! $4 normal Admission when I went yesterday. So throw in a burger for maybe $8-10. Dinner and a movie date for about $30, good luck finding that somewhere else. And the theaters are comfortable and clean, abundant parking, bathrooms are nice. The only choke point is ordering food if they get a rush but even there they have plenty of help and after you order you can wait in the theater, they bring it to you. Highly recommend! Also, watch for special activities on weekends etc, including for children.

Watched Downtown Abbey movie here while on vacation. You sit in regular theater style seats ... but there is a dining table in front of you. Prices are great. Loved it !!

Tight space. Soda prices too high. 32oz for $4.25. Might as well sneak you own soda in. Candy prices good. Overall great bang for your buck.

For the price, Northern Lights cant be beat!! The theater seems a bit run down, but I noticed they had new chairs last time I was there which was a great upgrade! Comfy seating, decently priced snack type food and $4 for a movie - awesome in my book!

Came to the venue because they put on some comedy shows. The theater worked great for the event. The menu looks really impressive but all I had was popcorn, which was popping as they sold it.

Fabulous venue! Very comfortable and I like small theatre feel. First time we were there; 1 adult, freshman, and an 8th grader. Will be back!!!

Love the $4 price of admission, food & drinks are way cheaper than a regal cinema!! Love the popcorn, I even go in on my way home sometimes & just buy a large popcorn! Seats can definitely use some work, but hey what do you expect for $4. You want a nice comfy, seat/reclinerc, watch a movie from home or go pay $14 at a regal cinema!

This is a great place to go see movies for a reasonable price and also have a pretty good meals, also for a reasonable price. Staff at Northern Lights are attentive and helpful and give great customer service. I just wish they could start showing the UFC again which I enjoyed going to see, but I understand the fact that the fights cost so much to get now, it has priced everybody out from watching them.

Awesome for a cheaper movie experience or if you just wanted to see something you missed on its initial run in the theater. The food could be better but overall its not enough to deter you from enjoying a movie here. Excellent for kids also.

Ive been here too many times to count! And I always have a great experience :) The movies are great quality, food is great, the staff is nice, and the new seats are amazing! The chicken strips are my favorite and way better than any restaurant Ive been to!

Weve always loved coming here, we moved recently & we werent able to make it back here for a few mo tha & we finally were able to a couple weeks ago & they have updated their tables & seating with more comfortable reclining seats!

I love this place you can watch a second run movie for only $4 can actual dinner and a beer best place in town and its a great place to bring a date spot and you will not be disappointed at all and I mention its also locally owned

I enjoyed the movie and food tremendously. The only thing that keeps me from giving 5 stars is that it was so cold in the theater I had to get my coat. It still didnt keep me warm.

The guy taking tickets was absolutely rude when checking mine and my boyfriends IDs and the food made me puke. I have always loved this theatre and will probably return but Im not ordering food there again.

Its great when the chamber of commerce has their greeters meetings at northern lights food is marvelous nice selection comfortable seating you dont feel crowded and a table in front of you so that you dont have to try to hold the plate on your lap. What more could you ask for when youre listening to a lot of people talking? Great acoustics for hearing the speakers. Im glad when business is go ahead and have the meeting at northern lights its easy to get to and its very comfortable to be there.

We love this theatre! The tickets are reasonably priced and its very clean inside. The staff is friendly and the menu has a large variety. I did not enjoy the taco salad I ordered though, and remember the good being higher quality; Im glad they gave me a fork to eat it with, because it was filled with bottom of the bag chips impossible to scoop with.

The movie was good. The movie prives are good. The food, not so much. Especially for how expensive it was.

You have to wait a little longer for the good movies to get here, but the prices are Sooo worth the wait! The set up is nice for multiple kids too. Snacks are decently priced. Nothing fancy but the kids dont notice the difference :)Also you can usually get a buy one get one free coupon for tickets in the coupon books that are mailed out. I think they are in the Janco Saver..?

My husband and I love coming here for date nights - dinner and movie. The theater has fewer seats so they can have tables in front of you for your food. The menu isnt fancy (sandwiches, wraps, salad, pizza), but its good. Great desserts too, and the prices are very reasonable (even for popcorn and soda), especially compared to the Regal Cinema theaters. They also have beer and wine, with evening shows restricted to adults. At $4 a ticket, this is the best bargain in town!
