The new playground is now open and the kids absolutley love it. So many different things to donfor kids of all ages. But be careful of the ladder that goes up the tower. Though the sides are block the entrance is not and small little ones can fall straight down.

Love taking my furbabies to the dog park. They keep it clean. Theres water for the furbabies if you forget to bring some. Its a nice place for them to run and meet new furry friends ️

It is overall a really nice park. It has the river going down beside it which would be great to fish in. It has a walking trail which apparently goes far beyound the park. I havent personally walked it but theyre signs that tell you about it. One big point though is that you have to reserve the gondolas in advance if you want to use them. It was really packed when we got there at 3:45 pm today. I still recommend going.

Havent been to this park in several years, I decided to go on a whim looking for a dog park for my pup. I had no clue Rodge ferry had a dog park until i walked in! Super clean, beautiful park. My only complaint is people let their dogs out of the car without a leash on, and my dog is small but thinks shes big so its a little nerve racking, other than that no complaints!

Ridge Ferry park is always a great place to go, but during fall with the leaves changing color its even prettier. Love it.

Decent picnic tables. Its nice that its right on the river. Volleyball, playground and dog park, so there are a lot of things to do here. Just wish the parking was better.

Clean, beautiful surroundings, river flowing through. Good playground, fitness equipment and picnic areas. Paved walking and biking trail with trash bins and resting benches spaced well. In walking distance from everywhere local.

This is a great shady park with plenty of features. Im excited to see the new playground they are adding.

Great park. There are 3 different play areas, all solid. Bathrooms were a little hot, but convenient enough and clean enough for a park. Parking was not an issue and the walkable areas were nice. I never felt unsafe.

I love searching up new parks for my children to play at whenever were traveling. This park was most delightful. A beautiful calm river to picnic around, very shaded playground areas, plenty of seating under trees, excellent landscaping, trails and so much more. Not to mention the very clean, well kept bathrooms that were easily accessible. Will definitely be bringing my kids back here when were back in the area.

It is a great place to go with kids. Not many are there so you can have a lot of freedom there. It will also nice place to have a picnics there. This place is huge and you can do a lot of stuff there. There is big playground for kids.

All that new playground equipment is going to look great. Until then, plenty of squirrels to chase

Its nice they have a swamp habitat you can walk a path between and theyre rebuilding the main park but the pirate park at the side is really cool my 5 yr old loves it

Great area, nice and shady. Eco center is great and have a pet raccoon! You can visit her on the trail behind the center. Trash is almost non existent, and grass is kept up with.

Lovely park! Lots of different playgrounds for the kids to choose from, tons of green space, and a neat tree house, too!

I lived in Rome for about 8 months. I enjoy taking long walks and during my stay in Rome I discovered Ferry Ridge Park. The walking trail along the river is really great. I walk alone and other singles and many couples and small groups also walk this mostly level trail. I know that the local police patrol this trail and would say its a safe place to walk. The trees and river and nice folks are attractive additions to a great walk!

Its a nice park..the rest rooms are a bit nasty ..of course thats gona happen when you have a public restrooms...

Fun, and safe place to have a picnic or just let ur kids have a relaxed play day!! Clean.

Ridge Ferry Park has a lot to offer! Its a great place for your kids to work out their energy while at the same time getting the benefits of fresh air. The dog park is a great addition and is much appreciated by both dogs and owners. The park also offers different entertainment opportunities such as pow wows and farmers marketsIts a great place to walk around for exercise, a change of scenery or fellowship with family members or friends.

Ridge Ferry Dog Park was a nice departure for my fur kids and me for a couple of hours. My girl wasnt quite sure what to do with all of those young pups so she spent most of the time just watching everyone. My boy didnt know which dog to follow around to make sure he sniffed the best places. I got to chat with other dog lovers about our favorite subject - our dogs.The park could use more benches, a couple covered pavilions for the humans & at least 2 watering stations around the inside perimeter of the big dog enclosure to be able to handle all those thirsty pups I saw running around in the evening heat. Also, an agility course setup would be great! One of the parks where I lived in Florida had one & my dogs loved going to play & run through the course.All-in-all the establishment of a dog park in Rome is a progressive step that has been long overdue. While it does need some improvement to keep the dogs engaged with each other & their caregivers, it appears to be on the right track.

Amazing place. Lots of special events all year round. Rifht on the river. Many large beautiful shade trees.

It was great! Christmas Eve was my first day at this park and my kids had a blast! Bathrooms, hiking trails, walking trails through the marsh, Kayak rentals, and much more .. go check it out

Dog Park: 3 sections, large, small, and mix. Nearby bathroom. No lights. Water in the dog gate. Bags and trash can near entrance(so count your posts). No community toys or anything fancy or special. Free at the moment(?). Decent shade. A single bench. Its on the small size of medium. Plenty of room to run. Fairly clean of poo. Plenty of improvements possible, but not bad at all.Rest of the park: nice. Lots of squirrels for the dogs.

This park is just what youre looking for! You can schedule a birthday party or event. Theres a dog park and a trail for walking, running, etc and every once in a while youll see a bunny rabbit!

The park was good. The people were friendly. It was nice watching parents and children of different races all playing together without judgement. Kind of makes you question what the news keeps saying about the racial divide in this country.

We come here very often to start our walk by the river to go downtown. We brought our grandchild here to play on the playground. The playground is excellent! They have a lot of playground equipment that the kids can climb on. There was equipment for all ages of children. I would have loved to have these things when I was a kid. ;-)

This park is beautiful! The (huge) playgrounds were clean and the walking paths are always well cared for. We love the Eco Center that is above the covered pavilion (which is free as well). The only reason Im not giving 5 stars is that the bathrooms are never very clean and on our last visit the water was off so you couldnt flush. The water fountains werent working either and theres no drink machine, so bring your own drink.

Great place to take the whole FAMILY.. On normal days there is a huge park for younger and older children. Has lots of wonderful different things for children to experience. Has a area to accommodate people that may be handicapped or injured to help them do certain excises similar to the ones that might would be at a physical therapy office. The river is beautiful and is a great place to fish or to just sit and relax. It is a great place for parties or any kind of meetings or social events. Often there is GREAT events with live bands on a beautiful stage, fireworks and fun for the kids.

Nice paved trail. Plenty of playground equipment for children. They have a treehouse structure facing the river. The Kona Ice truck is usually there too!!!

My little familys favorite park! Mostly because our daughter loves the playground there so much. Its well maintained with many amenities. I grew up visiting here & now take my daughter. So much more than my youth to do, including the Eco center, which is definitely worth checking out even if you dont have little ones.

Great park! One for older kids, another for younger. Tons of open space! In summer there is a great farmers market. There is also fishing and walking tracks

This is a lovely park! You can have a picnic, let your children play on the playground or let you dog run in the fenced in area. You could walk to get some exercise or just relax and sit in nature.

We came to the park to play Knockerball and had a blast. The park is located along the banks of the Coosa River in a very scenic setting. The pavilion and playground looked great, though we didnt use those parts of the park while we were there.

My daughters had so much fun at the ECO Center. My youngest loved plsyomg on the playground while my oldest was on the boat ride (field trip with the school).

This place is great for both people.and dogs now that they have added a dog park.

Nice park for kids and family. Awesome environment. The location in map is a little offset than the actual location.

We make it point to keep our dogs on a leash when walking. We use the small fenced in yard to train off lead. People who are walking on the sidewalks need to leash their dogs and dont assume its ok for their dog to go up to another persons dog without permission.Your leash laws are not being followed! Someone or someones dog is going to get hurt.

Fantastic boat ride after a scavenger hunt at the nearby ecology center and Chieftains museum! We found a geocache in the swamp and the little lids took a few minutes to play on the massive playground. We also bought fresh tomatoes and homemade strawberry jam at the Farmers market on Sat morning.Lots going on in this park...The path could use some repaving in spots, but we enjoyed every minute we were here!

We went to the 30th annual running g water pow wow. It was an excellent show and great food and alot if cool native american crafts.
