If you wanna give disc golf a try & youre around the Rochester area. This is the best place to play. Most baskets can be seen from the tee box so perfect for beginners, straight forward holes, not that technical. Some holes are quite far, enough to challenge new players. Very well kept though when my friends & I went there the fairway needs a little trimming but other than that great course to play in!

What a cool park. The ridge trail was super fun and a great challenge for beginners/intermediates. With the leaves changing it was super beautiful. It was big enough to stay safe during the pandemic as well

I love love the acres of this park and how its so beautifully spread out along with the secluded trails. I was surprised by how many trails there was to choose from along with steep high hills to climb up. My son love this park and its so peaceful out here, even if theres a lot of people. I like how its not crowded and still have some privacy to hike.

Wonderful course, fun holes. Its built on a big hill so come here if you want practice playing up and down inclines. Its a big field, so its hard to lose discs. Only one hole was muddy when I went last.

Local park nestled in the Blossom Rd/North Landing Rd area. Some refer to it as the sledding hill, the dog park, or the disc golf area. All of these things are possible here, but its also just a lovely place to walk or hike. You can choose a sedate and level path or opt for several other options. Just go and explore! Also, we recently discovered a number of Geocache spots in and around the area referred to as the Indian Landing. You need a free membership on a Geocache website to be able to find them but its worth a try if youre curious and want to do something while hiking. Nearby are tennis courts and softball fields, fishing spots and picnic pavilions. Lots to offer for a day out!

One of Penfields many green gems. Great for taking a walk with friends. Good space to bring your pup. Several pavilions you can rent for a party. Awesome creek space to bring a canoe or kayak... A lot of the park is in a valley so it feels like you are surrounded by wilderness (to a degree) but youre just down the hill from residential neighborhoods or Browncroft Plaza.

If your looking for great cardio and want a challenge, great place for hills. Island in middle of park that has several trails on all sides that are steep and will leave you out of breath. Literally! Make sure to bring repellent, mosquitoes are thick and hungry. Also park gets flooded easily after heavy rains. Otherwise park is relatively small and when dry is pleasant for easy walks.

Ive really been enjoying hikes from the south entrance on Penfield Road. Theres plenty of shade, usually a nice breeze, and if youre willing to walk up a little bit of a steep incline, some good views.

Whats not to love? Got to revisit Ellison after moving away a few years ago. I remember sledding down the hill as a kid and now, after working in the natural resources field in Denver, I can really appreciate the lush vegetation, meandering streams, and abundant avian life that call the park home (despite all the dogs-wow!).
