A very nicely maintained Park worth exploring beyond just the parking lot. If youre unfamiliar with the place I highly recommend making sure visit all the nooks and crannies with your car for disembarking as the park is very large. We had a lot of fun and will be back often
It has a nice mtb trails, works for beginners or experienced. Very nice for a walk in the park, specially during the fall. Well maintained. Oh, forgot to mention that they have a Velodrome.
My friend has the Bloomer/Yates park pass ($35 annually) and took me here to show me the 200 wooden steps. Woah! Ive been restricted to low impact activities for all of 2020 and climbing The Staircase hit the spot since I wasnt stepping on concrete, which has been tough on my shins and feet. Being outdoors with the changing colors of fall made it all the more exciting and enjoyable. My friend visits this park often to hit the mountain bike trails, which he said are always well maintained. Im not allowed on a bike so I just did the steps and some hiking while he biked, but the mountain biking thing did look interesting. He also brings his daughter for sledding in the winter and mentioned they have heated restrooms (I hate being cold). The sledding hill looked pretty cool. He also mentioned there are plenty of charcoal grills and places to picnic for covid19 dating. This was my first visit and was really impressed that I will probably buy a park pass next year.
This was such a pleasant place for a nice hike with my family! Every trail had something beautiful and unique we cant wait to see it in the fall and winter!
Great park Great trails, muddy sometimes wear hiking shoes/boots
Great walking trails. If youre trying to tone up try the stairs of death. They are located on the left of the rock building.
Its good because you can ride your bike there and its so big and you can explore in the woods and its so much and theres a big hill so you can climb up it and role down it
We had a lovely 2 mile hike ! it was beautiful ️
Went here to watch a mountain bike race, park is beautiful and well maintained.
Nice mountain trails and stairs are great ways to get some exercise
Great park for outdoor exercises. I also enjoyed running the stairs. Just bring some bug spray, if you plan on wearing shorts...
Very nice facilities to hold events. The MiSCA bike race held here worked out very well.
I frequently hike this park in the winter months dueto high animal activity and low human activity. The trails are easy to navigate and there are some excellent spots to see deer, beaver and coyote. A few birds of prey are around as well.
Dig it. Lots of calm flat track that goes quite a distance. Then theres the challenging single-track. Try the switch back, its delicious. Its a very well maintained park!!
Very peaceful in the right spots lol. Nice place to go with the family and take it all in and spend a while reflecting on the work week.
There are quite a number of connected trails in the parks, which give a lot of options to distances and elevations. Some trails are elevated up and down, and some are quite flat, so you can pick and choose, but there is no sign or markings to tell. The trail markings are quite few and very basic. There were lots of bugs on the trail, so be prepared of repellent.
Beautiful memorial for our granddaughter. Lots of play area and trails
The Clinton River Trail is the best place to bike 20+ miles
Go here all the time...really nice
Been going here since I was very young, still an amazing place in every season
Challenging trail with plenty of features unique but definitely not a flowy singletrack experience. Some grueling and technical climbs, lots of tight sections between trees, lots of roots to look out for. Definitely some fun and challenging downhill sections; the big switchbacks require quite a bit of skill to take aggressively. Overall, it feels like too many much trail was packed into the land, there are a lot of tight, slow turns as well as going up and down ridges aimlessly. On a side note, this trail is very poorly marked. There are not enough signs telling you where the MTB trail continues. There are dozens of trail crossings with multiple route options, and probably only half of them are marked. It was really hard to navigate as a first timer.
Fun and challenging single track trails.
Bloomer is one of the best parks for walking the trails and the Clinton River is excellent for fishing. Great place to get away from reality for a day.
First time here...so many traits to explore. Didnt get to them all. Had a nice workout in the shade.
Its very nice to spend time with your family
Fabulous park! Great place to run and train on stairs! Very nice play ground for children as well!
Love the access to trails and the park right within the city. Close to the Clinton River and trail.
I am the owner of The Carpet Guys so I like to give credit where credit is due. I am always looking for great places to have good team building activities for my staff and I really like Bloomer Park. Great park for hanging out, family or work group activities or just a nice walk or run through the woods.
Trails maintained and marked well, wildlife all over the place and plenty of playground things for kids - love this park!
Great trails to walk..really close to Clinton River trail where we can bike. There is an entry fee for the park
Fantastic mountain bike track.
I love Bloomer park and it is a frequent ride to destination for me. There are a number of challenging mountain biking and walking trails in this large park. The park is boarded on the north by the Clinton River Trail (one of the most beautiful sections) and can be used to access the Macomb Orchard trail to the east.It is a Rochester Hills city park and requires a purchased pass to enter by car during the summer season. Passes can be purchased daily or annually. Residence get a discount on the cost, but anyone can buy. There is no fee to visit via bicycle or on foot.Parking at the trail head is free and provides great access the trails for riding or waking, as well as offering a convenient place to launch your winter cross country skiing or snow showing activity into the wooded areas of the park. There is a large stone building near the auto entrance that has a great view of the ravine below from the balcony. There are numerous other picnic areas, some with shelters, that like the stone building, can be reserved through the city for special occasions. In addition to great biking and hiking, there is a outdoor velodrome to watch or participate in track races and a sled hill for winter fun.
Great MTB trails. Favorite place Ive been to this year. Will be returning often.
Amazing paths! Such a great time in nature. Pure Michigan at its finest.
Awesome trails for a great bike ride or a nice hike!
Great park for outdoor activities. Good for walks, cycling and parties. It has one of the best sought after cricket ground. Fees to enter the park, either come in super early or late Sunday evening when no one is monitoring if you just want to take a look at the park.
Great place to have a family/friend reunion
Great park. People definitely NOT following the social distance rules on the stairs
Great place to hangout with family and friends. The grills are new and do a great job. The bike trails are really professional. They have kids playground.
It’s a amazing place to go I recommend going on the stair cases the atmosphere is amazing it’s fun to go there the one problem is there’s no soccer nets we should make a feild there and have the cricket teams be less crowded so they don’t spread COVID -19 and over all love it and will go again also amazing to go biking there in the summer I got to go everyday in Clinton river and also in the traits just they should put more maps so you don’t get lost I get lost a lot despite living in the bloomer park neighborhood and there for 11 years +
Love the trails. Great for running or mountain biking
Good place to run
Riding the Velodrome is a great way to spend an afternoon.
Could really use more markers on the bike trails. I never know if Im going the right way or the wrong, its quite dangerous.
Great place to walk a dog.
Three kids playgrounds, outdoor workout area, trails to Rochester. Great place for kids!
Good for a walk after dinner
Close to home and love walking trails
Great experience weather you want to picnic, ride your bike or go for a jog
Nice park with some great trails
Great trails and really nice playground! Note that there is a $5 entry fee, so Id suggest packing a lunch and spending the afternoon.
Lots of trails n river to walk around as well as course for jogging.
Great trails for trail running, stair workout, MTB or just leisure walk
Love the trails and stairs, what a workout, beautiful park!
Super fun park for the kiddos. 3 playgrounds and hiking galore. If you are up for renting the shelter it is spectacular in the fall. Not sure if you can have a fire in the fireplace, but a plus if you can.
I love the hiking trails and abundance of outdoor areas to enjoy the outside! Lots of parking.
Realy nice park with a river and local fauna
Love Bloomer, but keep your eyes open there are rattle snakes and they are difficult to see.
I went to play cricket over there on Sunday. The ground is lovely. The field suraunded by little jungle. Early morning or when the place is quite you would see walking around that place. If you go for play cricket or any other spots activities I guess parking is free. Otherwis, you might pay $10 for parking. Also, there are few tables and and banche. You may take your family and friends over there to have BBQ party.
Great park close to the city for hiking and dog walking. Gracious mountain bikers! Lots of well maintained trails.
Rochesters natural landscape is beautifully preserved at Bloomer Park
Great Park, Clean, restrooms are very clean and great place for a family
OPC Picnic Great time fun, awesome setting, fire in the fireplace...LOVED IT
Great trails but mostly for biking.
Trails are maintained well. Love the stairs. Theres new trackers for how many sets youve done. My group meets here once a week. Theres many options for fitness. Two sets of stairs, lots of trails, and the big sledding hill. The bathrooms are modern and clean.
Great park, very clean. The stairs and trails are very popular
This is a great workout park! (My only constructive criticism is that the mens bathroom is in need of attention. The stall doors dont lock properly and the bathroom is usually not the cleanest) I first went here with intentions of running the bike trails but it rained the night before and they were flooded in a few spots. I chose the stairs instead. I have since made this part of my regular routine and walk or run the stairs here three mornings a week. There are a few stairs around the park but I recommend the most popular set located to the left of the stone structure as soon as you enter the park. Its a great workout covering almost 200 steps each way. The stairs are usually clear of debris, are well built, and are well maintained. Tip: you can keep track of your flights by advancing one of the nails through the holes in the boards located near the hand rails the bottom of the stairs. (I bring a colored golf tee for easier recognition)
Really nice park thats well taken care of! Lots of open space for games and fun. Mountain bike trails are really fun with normal flat and climb but also some fun, challenging downhill!
My husbands family has been having family reunions there for more than fifty years. It is a fantastic place. Lots to do. So much fun. Love coming there every year
Always a fun adventure for me and these 2
Great trails for MTB or running with some technical turns and changes in elevation. One full loop is about 6 miles but there are plenty of little offshoots to explore as well.
Great place to let the kids go wild on the playground and let off some steam. Even after spending about 45 minutes the kids wanted to continue playing. Also saw a family barbecuing near the playground as well, so that would be something we might do the next time we visit.
Beautiful park, amazing pavillion, clean bathrooms
One of my favorite places in Michigan.
The park and trail are well kept. Nice place for a picnic
Awesome mountain biking trails, and near the Clinton River. The trails are well kept, and the parks are all very clean. A place I go pretty often.
Great hiking trails, mountain biking!
Great for mountain biking! I would like to see more signage on the trail. It is easy to lose your way.
Great city park. Stairs are used for fitness, however, park does not clear them in winter.
I enjoy the single track here from time to time. Punchy climbs, great to work on bike handling. Decent place to stop on the way to a place for the experianced mountain biker. Great place for someone new to the sport except connecting the routes can be tricky for it is not a loop, more a net like network of trails and connectors.
Overall a great park: decent bathrooms with actual plumbing, multiple play structures(even a workout one for adults), scenic bmx/jogging trails. The only downer for me is that too many people let their dogs off the leash and wander too far away for my comfort. Normally I like dogs, but when im out running I dislike being confronted/approached by unfamiliar dogs.
Love this place! Is it still open in the winter? If so, what are the hours and price? Thank you
Have been coming here for many years and am glad to say that China Star Palaces food is always good and consistent. Some places you go once or twice and like it and then the next time, it isnt the same. Youll never run into that here. I love their Almond Boneless Chicken. Great place, great food, and great management.
Big play ground. Wonderful bike trials. Has good play stuff for kids. There is bike ring, where in Experts ride bike on a close to 90deg slope wall. Havent got a chance to see it so for. Has deep steps next to the rest room where in it goes in to deep trials. Good for exercise or jog. Feels like going into Jurasic park.
Nice trail for hiking and biking
Awesome park. Great for hiking or mountain biking.
Great place and also great trails and excellent for rides in bicycles
Sick mountain bike trails!
Great trails. Ive only accessed Bloomer Park from the Clinton River trail. The trails that connected were amazing to ride around on a bike. It was beautiful and a little hilly so I really want to come back, lock up my bike and take a good walk around the woods.
We brought some friends over to the park today and they loved it, they have two boys and they had a blast. It was windy and chilly but we had a great time.I cant wait for the weather to warm up a bit more to visit the new excersise area close to the first shelter.
Fun place to ride bikes and hike
Awesome as always. Low crowds, but never empty so you can enjoy nature and quiet or people watch
