Ive only used the playground and picnic area, but those areas are great. There are a lot of trees around, so you could easily grab a blanket and have a picnic in the grass too. There is a covered picnic area, while there are also tables outside on the lawn too. There are two stick fort teepees off the dirt paths. Kids go crazy for them, since they always want sticks. Lol. Parents, the only downside, is of youre like me youll get bug bites there. They also have a volleyball net and the places to play horseshoes (but you have to bring your own things for both volleyball and horseshoes). From what I could see, it looked like nice trails, but I did not venture out.

Archery. They have 4 spots to shoot arrows (bring your own bow and arrows and target). Great for kids with slides and swings. A small stream flows with a very small waterfall. Plus, there is a covered picnic area.

This is such an awesome place to spend time with your family and your beloved family pets. While we were out there a couple was taking photos for their wedding. We had a great time skipping rocks with our kids and walking through the creek. And our dog had a blast.

Great trails for walking! Might even get to see some wildlife!

Nice place to have a picnic in Rochester and they also have a public archery range.

Lots of trails for ya doggos, a kid park, lots of open space to ponder your thoughts during a light rain stroll.

Great park to rent. Not a ton of trashcans but great play area covered picnic tables to eat on and really pretty. Was super easy to reserve the covered area for a family gathering as well

Nice park for a short hike or a picnic.

Love going to Essex for long, mindful nature walks. Essex has blacktop trails or if feeling more on an adventurer side, dirt trails. Very popular spot to bring pet dogs.Restrooms, parking lot, and land is well maintained.

Good spot to go if youd like to get away from other people and dogs, while still offering quite a bit of space to romp around. Tons of small and short trails from the East entrance all the way over to the west side entrance by the park along 55th street. Bring bug spray if youre heading there in the summer time!

Great cross country ski trails. At least 4 miles of uniqut trail. Lots of different terrain.

Bathrooms with running water and soap. Many picnic tables. Playground is on the small side but adequate for some fun play. Beautiful woods surrounding park. Horseshoes and large grassy areas to play in as well.

The trails have had a little more mosquitos this year than the past. Beyond that, the trails a beginner walking trails. There is an archery range and childrens park. The trails are pet friendly.

Really nice venue for our picnic. We brought a little grill with us and had plenty of room. Very quiet, which was nice.

This park is tucked away really good, great place to have a family get together, they have really big Picnics table areas, kids had fun at the park, there were some hiking trails it looked like, lots of parking.
