Alot of rules. Not a good place if you have a disabled. The people run show target the disabled with alot rude.bathroom hard get to. Rules only for disabled . Many was not wearing mask but the told I must. Could not enjoy the show was so frustrated with all the rules. Better place watch show there. Closed this dump.

The bartender down stairs was absolutely rude and extremely arrogant. He has no idea how to treat customers and I was one of many that though so. The show was awesome though. You cant go wrong seeing Bob Marley.

Tusk show was canceled for April 4th 2020. I have called and emailed looking for ANY information on how they are handling the situation. I bought 2 tickets. They have not contacted me. They have ALL my contact information on file since I have bought tickets to several shows. Will be taking the next step.

We saw Mayor Pete here on Veterans day and this place was lovely and Mayor Pete was amazing. I had to use my wheelchair and with my daughters patient help could manage. Theres an elevator.

What a jewel!! Saw A Christmas Carol there recently and loved it. They have refurbished the theater over the years and its beautiful. Not a bad seat in the house. They produce plays and musicals as well as having touring bands play there. I believe its the only theater of its kind left in the United States. Look it up!

Great faculty...polite staff...they go the extra mile for the customers.

We just left the Full Monty show. It was BEYOND OUTSTANDING, and thoroughly entertaining!!! Its a performance I would see again. The cast is so talented. The delivery of humor was perfectly timed, and their voices were also incredible!!

They bring in lots of great and well known outside acts, and the theater thats done there is top-notch. Lots of very talented local people. Weve enjoyed every show weve seen.

Really nice place to see a show! The staff is very friendly and helpful. Weve been here multiple times and will return. There is parking behind the theater which makes a big difference too.

Great old theater. Amazing show - the talent was incredible. Full bar for those interested.

Its a very historic place but they need to do something for the performers trying to get up on that stage. Its a safety hazard, theres no safe comfortable way to get up there. Because if you have a big enough group, you cant get in from the back of the stage you have to get on the stage from the front with those unsteady steps they supply.

Such a nice theater. Weve seen concerts and plays there and have enjoyed it every time.

I love the Rochester Opera House! The building has a lot of charm and history. The architecture is interesting to look at. The only downside is there are a lot of stairs. If youre going to the balcony. The lighting is good and the sound system is good as well.

First time attending tonight and sat in balcony. Great view and acoustics. Will definitely be back soon

Matilda was great!! Lots of energy and a wonderful cast. Seats can be uncomfortable - bring a cushion or rent one for $3. Bring cash for vending machines and concessions at intermission. Get to the counter quickly for popcorn as they only do one batch during intermission. Poland Springs water bottles, nice.

Its a place where locals gather for fun and entertainment. Totally cool

The Christmas Carol at the Opera House is always a wonderful treat but it was even extra special this year!

What a beautiful theater! We saw Eileen Ivers there and it was a great show in a truly classic space. Although the seats are wood we found them to be quite comfortable. The one criticism I have is that the acoustics are not that great. Im a bit hard of hearing so I wasnt surprised when I couldnt understand some of the words of the song being sung, but when I shared my frustration, the rest of my party had the same experience. It certainly isnt terrible but it could be better, though I dont know if the problem was the room acoustics or if it was the sound system being used. Dont let that stop you - its still a great place to see a concert or play.

Love Rochester Opera House theatre series. Cant wait for the new seats though!

It was fantastic, the venue is quaint, acoustics are great,have a bar off to the side of the stage,very unique aura as it is a older opera house lovingly restored. Will go back again and worth attending to a variety of different types of attractions

Awful seats. No leg room, old seats. Looks like it needs a real good cleaning. Dont think I would attend anything else in the Opera House.

Arabian nights was a great play. They did a great job. Tickets were free through Vet tix. So thank you for those. Had a fantastic time, the venue is amazing.

We went to the Lenny Clark comedy show! It was awesome and the seats were as well! Weve been there quite a few times and have enjoyed it every time!

Had a wonderful time there! The staff was excellent, my experience was all positive. Its great for children to see live performances and the building itself is historic and its charming to be inside such a beautiful building. Thank you!

The Rochester opera house is a great place to go and see a concert or a play and to just get together and have a fun time with family when it comes to either watching mamma Mia when it was there or whos bad which is a band that is tribute to Michael Jackson theres a lot of other new things so they come in there the summer please look it up on your website under Rochester Opera House and Ill give you a whole entire listing of whats coming for 2019 in so far theyre just about full for this year its a great place to enjoy stuff and theres several good restaurants around the area right there like the governors Inn so check it out

Beautiful little Opera House, however, not overly handicapped accessible or friendly with tons of stair levels & a very inconveniently located elevator only going part way up to the top level balcony from the ground level where our seats were located, which was quite difficult to navigate with my elderly mother. The seating was small cramped narrow very hard wooden fold down theatre style seats too that will cause numbness in their bodies if sitting for any length longer than a 1/2 hr or more!! We literally felt like seated sardines...sitting on top of the people on either side of us That said, the performance we saw was wonderful (Tribute to Johnny Cash) though people nearby us were pretty loud, obnoxious & intoxicated as well as disruptive to the show or comfort level of those sitting around them. Not honestly sure if, despite some of the fun sounding upcoming performers coming there soon if myself & the rest of my adult family would ever go there again...

The Rochester Opera House is a diamond in the ruff!! Its small n quaint and not pricey, it brings a large variety of venues. Ive been many times, Ive recently seen Recycled Percussion, Mama Mia, Christmas Carol, and TUSK (Fleetwood Mac cover band) and I thought it would be okay but the shows were better than my greatest expectations. The theatre was packed, the crowd was on their feet, laughing, cheering, clapping, dancing, and having and Great time...If you have the opportunity to see a show, i highly recommend this venue, you dont be disappointed,!!!!

Fun old world style venue. Not a bad seat in the house however if you are hard of hearing I would sit closer rather than further away. The sound was not loud enough for me and I had a hard time following what the actors were saying or singing at times.

Incredible unique historic theatre. Wide variety of shows Professional plays to concerts to local dance studios and production companies all perform there.

What a great historic venue, we love it there, it certainly takes you back a century, to think of all who have passed through that theater, a preservation to keep forever, looking forward to our next visit.

Beautiful renovation, historical, fun venue.

Fantastic experience taking my daughter to the Blues Traveler show. Our seats were great, John and the Band put on a heck of a show and the crowd and staff were awesome! I look forward to catching more shows here.

I love that we have a local Opera House. Ive enjoyed both productions so far that Ive taken my family to this holiday season. Wonderful talent!As for the seating I was really uncomfortable. They really need to update the seats. For it being December its very cold out and I understand the actors probably like the cool air with moving around a lot but it felt like the AC was turned on. I needed to wear my jacket. Overall its a great place to take friends and family to. Depending on the production the prices for tickets are reasonable. You know they put a lot of love and time into these performances.

This is a very cool venue. One of those hidden gems. It has a very rare tilting floor so some events are Theater seating while others are night club seating with high top bar tables.This night we saw Recycle Precision and they rocked the house.

This is a wonderful historic theater, but because it is historic it does have old wooden seats which you may not find comfortable... But most people usually find that it is worth it in the end, because they put on great shows!
