A historic and architectural gem worth a visit for the sheer awe-inspiring majesty of its coffered domed ceiling. Because of the dome, acoustics range from perfectly balanced and resonant to boomy and unbalanced, depending on where you sit (especially around the perimeter). Bravo to those who have given this former church a new life at the heart of Rochesters cultural life.

A beautiful theatre with amazing architecture. It’s better for jazz or acoustic type shows as the circular room tends to have a lot of a threat reverb. Makes voices sound incredible. Seats were comfy but very high and makes you feel a bit claustrophobic. Overall an incredible experience and can’t wait for the next show that comes up.

Loved the show and liked the small intimate characteristic of the venue . I didnt like that is was hot without a.c.and not much air circulation . I had a reserved table in front of the stage but the rest of audience had to sit in plastic folding chairs crammed in close . I didnt mind the wine being pricey but did mind a much smaller portion than i got at similar venues

While I love the interior walls and ceiling, the building itself is not a great performance space. The pews could be made into really nice seating by simply artistically upholstering the benches into a custom and comfortable fit. Cover the entire thing not just the seat area, but the back and all the wood to make them appear to be more comforting and theater like (maybe leather). While I understand the historic part of the building as a former Christian science church, the biblical and other sayings need to be covered over. Having them is not only unwelcoming, but creepy and just not OK if youre making the place a theater now thats supposed to be a welcoming place for all. Alot of people actually wont go to performances here because of how uncomfortable the seats are and how uncomfortable all the sayings and such in the woodwork make them feel. Its more people than youd think.

Beautiful place! There is a small bar (which is why I gave it 4 stars and not 3)! The place did smell a little funny, the acoustics werent the greatest, and your sitting in church pews so it is very cramped seating. But I would go again!

Attended a play: The Golden Girls and it was very entertaining however, I dont advise buying tickets for the seats known as the high top tables.small very hard and uncomfortable wooden bar stools to sit on with no support for your back not very ideal and where they are located means some of the stage cannot be fully seen..but the play was cute and I loved Hector Manuel as Ricky Martin.

Beautiful theater with good acoustics, one star off for no air conditioning, so it can get hot, during summer performances, and the parking can be a bit difficult for big shows, but neither was enough of a hassel to not want to go again!
