First time, Friday night play, Boom. I didnt know what to expect, enjoyed the acting so much, I laughed, and definitely thought provoking drama play. I will go back! Small seating area, audience can be a lil intrusive with talking, moving and laughing... But over all, great people, warm and welcoming.

Our first experience with MUCCC was last evening with FRANKENSTEIN, the radio play. It was spectacular, very well done, and the acting was superb! We plan to regularity attend performances there. Well done!

Always a great place to see plays, shows, events, etc. Very small & cozy - former church building. Seating on padded pews, some seats. Youre right up next to the actors. Sometimes have panel discussions after the play. Local productions are able to present themselves. Changing small art display by local artist(s) in small space next to stage/seating area, always interesting to see (before, or during intermission). Usually have some treats for sale; cookies, candy. Coffee & tea.Tickets are extremely low cost, allows many to attend. Always see folks I know (in the plays, too !). Thoughtful & fun experiences are to be enjoyed here !

MuCCC is a beautiful and active art gallery and theatre. A reasonably-priced venue to present your theatrical work, and a joy to attend shows at.The gallery rotates frequently, and is always interesting. As different groups rent the venue, prices and other details vary, but Ive never had a bad experience.

MuCCC is a wonderful local resource, giving community theater organizations a venue to perform that more Rochesterians should take advantage of. Weve seen several plays there now and each has been a starkly different experience. Depending on which theater troupe is running a particular play, there may be no concessions at all, or there may be coffee and water for purchase, to baked goods and snacks available during intermission. Its entirely dependent upon who is running that play. The space is intimate which I really like, the facilities are clean, and we have always enjoyed every performance weve attended. The only reason I couldnt do 5 stars is the seating, which is a bit old and run down and depending on where you find a seat, is not the most comfortable way to spend seated for a few hours. Im sure resources are scarce so they did the best they could, but if there was one thing that could improve, it would be better audience seating. Even still, we love the place and look forward to each new production!

This is a great little black box theater to see indie performances. They also have religious functions each weekend. For a relatively small theatre, it is quite technologically advanced, with a decent sound system, projection, and controlled lighting. I have seen quite a few productions here and only 1 was not as good as expected in my opinion. Check this place out if you have a free evening.

MuCCC is an important space in Rochester because it provides theatre groups from inside and even outside the city an accessible and affordable space for performances. It isnt perfect by any means, but some really great shows have played here in contrast with those which were not so great. Its a very useful community space.

The particular theater itself has a really ghetto feel to it. The old church space does not adequately resemble a performance space in this day and age. The audience generally waits outside between performances because the lobby isnt soundproofed. The theater has little to no amenities and truly resembles a good effort however the space itself is just not conducive to a good experience. Shows are great the space is not. Take the crosses off the main, sign out front too and also please put a facade up on the front or something.

Different show nearly every weekend covering a broad range of performance. Dance shows, traditional theater, experimental theater, film fests, music, improv and sketch comedy, performance art, even the famous AcroCats! Tickets are never more than $20, and frequently workshop performances and readings of local playwrights works in progress are under $10 or even pay-what-you-will donations for this not for profit cultural venue. The small gallery space hosts a different visual artist monthly, so get there a bit early to enjoy the exhibit and claim your favorite seat for the show.
