Just joined for one year! I think Don and I will really like Splash Valley. The people that work there are very nice and helpful!
This is a cool place to take your kids during the summer - keep an eye out for their cheaper days and discounts because it can be a little pricey. There are some awesome slides here and a great water play area with slides and fountains for younger kids. They have alright food, snacks and drinks (also pricey for what they are) and a shaded area for sitting. The park is usually on the overcrowded side especially in the heat of summer so if youre not a fan of crowds then this is probably not the place for you.
We visited the indoor pool. Such an awesome place to be so close to our home and so far away from bigger cities that have ginormous indoor water parks. Love the size, the slides, the hot tub, the lazy river and the set up. Also a reasonable price. Its something you can do to be active, get out of the house, not spend a large amount of $ and great for small activity during a typical busy week.
Great place for families with children. Loved taking my grandchildren there. Lots of lifeguards, lots of life jackets and I felt safe. They loved it. Only negative thing was you cant take food or drinks in. Youre expected to buy their food and drinks. Would have liked to have taken my own food for picnics.
Disclaimer: I dont do the sun. Or water parks. But if I did, is being my kids and they would love it.We went for a superhero event. Very entertaining with music, tees, fun mini events, etc. The place was packed to capacity and it was 95 degrees at 7pm. The line outside was about 30 people deep, just waiting for people to leave. Tons of things for kids to play on in the water, slides, etc. There should be a more effective way to control capacity for people wanting to come, maybe timed ticket entries or something? Also maybe a misting area for parents?Altogether, its a great place to get your white trash on!!!!
We had a great time here. No complaints except for the cleanliness of the bathrooms but nothing too unexpected for an outdoor pool. My kids loved the slides. There was something for everyone! Lots of people but that is also expected.
Got here at 5:30 today- Friday- hours all summer have been open till 10pm and this Friday it’s apparently only open until 7. Cashier didn’t feel need to tell any of us that got here after 5pm. Just paid $50 to swim an hour. Cool
Really great food! Would not come on weekends because theres usually a crowd. Nice service. It is pretty pricey though.
Not bad for the price for county residents, seems fairly well maintained-definitely better for older children in my opinion. The splash pad area doesn’t have any age restrictions so there were a lot of bigger kids running into and in front of my two year old as he was trying to climb around. I would feel a lot safer if there was an area designated only for the smaller kids (4 and under maybe?) as I have seen at other play areas-a little too stressful trying to keep the smaller ones from getting run over so we will probably stick to other options until our kiddos are older. Food is reasonably priced and even at capacity it didn’t feel obnoxiously crowded which was nice.
My first time at Splash Valley, it was not very crowded when we arrived however it became crowded as the day went on. There is more to do for kids there and it was a little much with so many kids. However they have adults only swim at the top of each hour so that helps a lot for us adults...lol There are more then enough chairs and lounge chairs for getting sun. I liked it and will probably go back soon.
Great place for an afternoon outing, just not a place for all day. Theres two rides for adults, enough to do for kids and multiple food options at reasonable prices for a water park. They have an icee truck on the other end of the park where you can add your own flavoring instead of paying for them to do it and the prices are good there too. The rides grate a little on your back, but theyre so much fun youll forget the discomfort by the time you go back up the stairs for another go.
There are professional life guards every few feet that take their job seriously keeping your kids safe. You cant bring in outside food, but the snack shack has a variety of affordable hot and cold foods. You can relax while your kids play. They have a lot of seating in the sun, but also a large shaded area with Adirondack chairs. We always have a blast.
The staff was very friendly. The facility seemed very clean and well maintained. The max amount of people they allow in is set way too high to enjoy it though. Way too crowded.
Sausage egg biscuit with side of gravy, black coffee, very vety good
We were rained out so we really didnt get to experience it. But the staff was helpful and courteous in explaining what was going on. We will try again later in the month and hopefully make it in the pool this time.
Thanks to Splash Valley. It was Very Very nice and the Workers was Very Kind and showed wron every one a Great time. Thanks again Cant wait until next year.
We enjoyed Splash Valley. Arriving at 4 and staying for the evening hours was a great experience. It was a last minute decision since we were just passing through. Glad we did. :-)
Always a great place to relax and let kids be kids. Get there at 4 and stay till close. Tickets are only $6 a person then.
Good entry price, especially for Roanoke Co residents and special events. Food a bit too pricy for what you get, but thats to be expected I guess.. and you cant bring anything of your own. I wish they had floats and adult life jackets for use. Would be nice to have pool related things for sale or rent. Even water shoes, towels, and suits for sale would be nice. Plus may provide more revenue for splash valley! Just a suggestion.
So glad we moved to Roanoke last year. Our grand kids love coming every weekend. Its wonderful to be able to share these memories with them!
We get season passes each year. Theyre usually busy on weekends, but weekdays are not bad in the evenings and definitely not bad during the day. Food isnt obnoxiously priced, but you cant bring in your own so thats partially why its only 4 stars. Theres also only 1 cabana with shade and its small and always packed. They definitely need more covered areas outside of the dining tables. The lifeguards though are plentiful and well trained and very alert.
I went here for my nieces birthday party. First, they told her they werent doing outdoor parties until the following weekend. Funny how when I showed up confused on where to go, they asked me if I knew if the party I was coming to was indoors or outdoors 2nd, how you gonna have a pool party and not allow anyone to leave the room, go swimming and come back to the room? It was a huge rush and really did not make me feel it was worth my sisters money. Could have done it cheaper and with less stress at the gator pool.
At the desk, the customer service was rude. I not sure what your policy is. When it comes to a group or a party. But there was no friendliness there. I feel weekend staff dont really want to be there. Everyone is not treated the same. Over all the kids had a good time. They didnt know the business part of it.
Great place for a day or with the family. Reasonably priced admission and concessions. Clean and kept up!
Perfect for the children. Large playground area for smaller children. Cant beat the price!
Great place! Inexpensive, fun for all ages. Staff great too
I had a nice visit
It was fun, but they have too many restrictions regarding childrens swim aids & drinks & healthy snacks from home! If you dont want people to bring their own food, have healthier options available!
A fun place to go with family or friends, ideal because it has a childrens area!
Its an OK waterpark in Roanoke. A good place to celebrate birthday of kids!
Best place for a relaxing day with the family at an amazing affordable rate
Not a water park, more of a glorifies YMCA pool
Awesome is all I know to say! It is definitely a great place to bring the kids and family, friends and or co-workers. Even though we had to evacuate due to lighting and thunderstorms in the area they said we can come back at no cost since we was not able to swim long. And the snack bar was great. They had Papa Johns pizza. All in all its a great place.
Nice selection of slides plenty of lifeguards on site food at reasonable prices
Great place for kids to play and have fun.
Its okay but not that great. Jus a pool with a couple slides and a kid section. Just like any other water place. I dont see anything spectacular that would draw people to it. And Its too high for kids under 5. I had to pay $10 for my 3 yr old to get in. Just ridiculous. To each its own
Good small waterpark. We were group of families heading towards Shanondoh National Park but wanted to spend some time for the kids to splash and found this park.Very clean and friendly park with intention for kids fun first.
This place is great for the family and especially the kiddos. The red funnel slide is fun and lazy river river ia relaxing.
Compared to cedar fair parks it doesnt hold a flame, but for the cost of admission its a great place. Not over crowded, friendly staff, and a slide that I havent seen at any of the other parks weve been to (and thats a lot of parks).
Fun, refreshing, family friendly . just a tad bit elbow to elbow on weekends. Large slides for adults and children.
Love it. Great place for me and my girls to have fun at.
Enjoyable, reasonably priced concessions, average to good customer service, & quick to reach capacity. Its a popular place.
I love hanging out here. Perfect place for friends and family.
I thought it was great at Splash Valley. Theres many activities to do, foods and beverages and its perfect for the kids. The only bad thing i noticed was that it was a bit small and over crowded but thats the only thing i noticed. If they could build more to the park I would give a 5 star raring but all in all great place to go when you wanna swim.
We had such a fantastic time at Splash Valley! The food was pretty good and not expensive. Good family atmosphere. And the staff, such a pleasure. Lifeguards everywhere!
The kids loved it every time a little crowded but its a good getaway here in town
It was the best water pask ever they have a toilet bowl and a big slide
We had a blast. Cant wait til next summer.
The staff were really unfriendly and whats the point of Adult Swim? Most water parks attract kids and teens, so I dont see the point of the Adult Swim portion.
I was very impressed with your facility, I do have one thing that bothered me. I noticed a family behind me playing music on a radio, I read your policies on your website and it specifically says no speakers of any kind. I brought this to the attention of two staff members and by the time I left an hour later the music was still playing. Not that the music was bothering me, but Im upset that the rules are different from your website and facility than are being enforced. I guess the next time I come Ill bring my boom box. I wanted to listen to my music today too.
The water is 3ft 6in deep. There is a small lazy river but no tubes. There are at least 6 lifeguards that are always scanning the swimmers. The place is clean and the bathrooms are clean. There are 2 big slides and a small one. There is a climbing area with water for smaller kids. This is a family friendly place.
You can not beat the deal here. For 25 bucks my wife, daughter, and I had a day off fun in the water. The big slides arent for me personally, the funnel one was rough on my back but the wave pool was great and my daughter had an absolute blast on the water playground area.
Great place for families. Reasonable prices and safe atmosphere.
My kids have a blast here. Im not crazy about their cold water but I do love the atmosphere and fun!
Was good went for my sisters baby shower excellent
Love splash valley. Nice little water park only 1 hr. away. I wish it was bigger with more shade spots in the pool and eating tables areas.
The lifeguards are great and the staff was very kind. The pool itself is ok, but due to the huge number of people, the facilities were pretty dirty and didnt get cleaned in the 4 hours we were there. I think they need to reevaluate their population cap! (We did have a fun time, but several buses of kids later, we were pretty uncomfortable being elbow to elbow and getting kicked often)
Ill be visiting soon, accidental review but im sure yall are worth a 5 star review
Kids love it ... food price is very reasonable
Something is always going on. with the water slides and the atmosphere its amazing
Cool place literally, water is freezing.
Clean lots of family fun something for all ages
Awesome place to take kids and have fun for the day
This place is amazing! Love the slides!
Very overall. Called yesterday to find out times they were opened to the public. Was told 10 and they dont even open until 11. We have 6 kids total with us. Smoking hot outside. I will be contacting the main person about the situation
Very clean restrooms and reasonable food prices. The kids loves the slushy truck.
Very clean pool great for kids very minimal pool breaks
Very nice and fun for the grandkids.
Awesome place for family fun
Great staff fun time
Ive been going to Splash Valley since it opened and would rate my visits in the past with five stars however, my last three visits not so much. I have really noticed a decline in the ways things are kept up for instance, the trash on my last two visits was overflowing which was attracting bees so much so I had to move with my three grandchildren to another spot, the pool was not as clean with visible debris floating around which was kind of surprising since we had to wait after opening to get in the pool. Something else that Im assuming was a courtesy was the lifeguards or rather an attendant would help with the life jackets but this had also gone away. Also, there used to be music and ten minute safety breaks. Splash Valley has always been a very enjoyable place to come and bring the children, I liked that it was well kept and clean and hopefully things will go back to the way they were.
Best place ever! Kid friendly.
Well Managed, wonderful lifegards, very clean facility.
TOO Crowded!!! They let too many Day Cares in at the same time. Everyone was well behaved and Splash Valley seemed to have enough staff. We need another nice public pool in the Roanoke Valley.
Nice day trip and very affordable
Loved it!! Nice last minute outing before school started back...cant wait to go back next season.
Because we had a good time.
Ran by the county of roanoke. Its connected to the countys complex.
Staff did a phenomenal job. Place was clean. Great atmosphere. We had a wonderful time.
Too crowded. No swimming. Slides are dark and not fun. paid $23 and stayed 1 hour. Waste
Great place to go do something in the summer.
It is clean and well staffed. The pools and sitting areas are nice and great for the whole family!
Always a clean, fun and nice facility.
Eh. Gets old. Fun for about an hour
My kids always love it here. Keeps them busy and entertained without the excessive walking of a bigger waterpark
I have been to Splash Valley, numerous times. I am an adult, with no kids, and me and my friends go quite often. I have never had a bad experience, and the staff are more than helpful. On occasions, it may be a bit crowded, but thats to be expected. I love going indoors to the Green Ridge pool as well.. Best thing that happened to this area.
Kids had a blast
Dont think people were allowed in the inside
I went for the first time at 10am and just because i dident live in roanoke, i have to wait and hour to go swimming, this rule is very discriminating for people who live in other countys
Fun time! Its cheap when you go after certain hours. Clean area and nice lifeguards.
It would have been better if it wouldnt have stormed and got to enjoy the whole day since we came from 2 hours away
Nice place to hang out
