Loved it! this year theyre making it work really well! And last year was awesome because they had live music at the end, a skeleton man who was actually such a talented musician! So cool. I came back with my friends the next night especially for that part. I hope they have that again soon! Synyster Vail, the artist’s name.
This year it is a Mile of Terror a car haunted way.I enjoyed the experience in family and was fun and scared at the same time. My wife, mother in law and daughter didn’t stop to scream in fear and my son and I laughing watching them. I recommend the event. To improve experience I think they could include more actors because some parts of the way are alone and encourage visitors to follow rules of keep enough distance between cards and use light off to make experience more interesting. We went early at week day and didn’t wait in a line.
Some friends and I decided to check out this event on Halloween night. We waited well over 3 HOURS in line, with no entertainers around except for a terrible kids bop dj and a guy dressed up as Sam from Trick r Treat who mostly just sat under the flood lights. When we got to the front, most of the staff were very rude to us. The woman giving us directions before we get in the “haunt” was not wearing a mask and stopped to cuss out one for her coworkers in the middle of the instructions. But that was just the beginning. I cannot even explain how terrible this “haunt” is. For one, the radio station we were supposed to use for audio was just static. The “haunt” itself was just an empty junkyard where old Halloween decorations were scattered around without any story or reasoning behind it. There were no sets, just ply boards with some spray paint. You are not enclosed, so you just feel like you’re driving around aimlessly looking at trash. Some of the “entertainers” were not even dressed up and many were young children in puffy jackets who just seemed to wander onto the lot. The people who were dressed up were very random and didn’t seem to blend with any kind of story either.Dragons had MONTHS to put something cool together, knowing this was one of the only Halloween events people would be able to attend this year. Instead, these people have made a lot of money off of the good people of NM for absolutely no ingenuity and very little work.If you see 5 star reviews, I guarantee they are planted. I wish I could give this 0 stars and I wish I could get my $46 back.AWFUL!! You should be ashamed of yourselves.
Been in car line for well over 2 hours, with still a long way to enter. Worst experience ever!! I wish there was an option to get out of line, but there isn’t. We are trapped! Bad decision to come to this awful event. Don’t waste your time like we did. Urge!!!
Well when your waiting In the line its cool because it doesnt take too long for the line to go down, there are really cool actors that come out all dressed up to scare you which was awesome. The owners son was super nice and cool and made the beginning scary. But Im only giving 2 stars because when we got in, the radio station didnt work, MOST of the actors were children wearing winter clothes and nothing else. The others were wearing dollar store masks with regular clothes. There were a few really good actors though. But the decorations were really stretched out so there were a bunch of empty spaces you could see. They charge 40$ and there were a bunch of cars like thousand dollar worth of cars on a WEDNESDAY. You would think with that much $ they could afford to fix the spaces and get actors that care about what theyre doing and have good costumes and not just a bad mask and attitude. Not only that but we called to confirm the closing time and the dude on the phone sounded SO MAD and made me feel stupid lmao
I had a horrible experience, the line was incredibly long and I had to wait over 2 hrs. On top of that they were very disorganized and even RUDE when directing cars. I will never go back to any kind of function the dragons house of horror is having again in the future. It was horrible!!!!! Those saying that this is a giant waste of time and money are correct! I did not go to wait for 2hrs in line and also have staff be rude to me. The experience needs to bettered.
Waited in line for 5 hours and I got there at 6pm. Besides it ABSOLUTELY NOT SCARY AT ALL. Definitely dont waste youre money. Trust me.
I think there needs to be more people popping out sneaking up on customers. And the wait kind of sucked. But overall, it was good.
Nice little haunted attraction, feel like we missed some aspects, but overall nice family scare.
PLEASE DONT GO ITS A SCAM!! My familys Holloween night was completely ruined. We cancelled everything we where doing for holloween to go to a really good scary haunted house and stumbled upon this one. The wait in the line was OUTRAGEOUS but we stuck it out thinking that it would all be worth the time and the $40 bucks we spent in the end. But when we finally went through we where so disappointed. The haunted house was poorly decorated with cheap decor, and half of the sets where completely abandoned. And most of the actors that where there where children in masks and unrealistic makeup, and they often broke character. My mom also has so much trouble moving through the whole maze. We where constantly afraid that we would crash into the sets or the actors. Overall we are very sad that we wasted so much money and our holloween on this. If anything it would have been worth it if we payed $10 at the most. Incredibly dissapointed.
This was an absolute waste of time. We waited in line for over 4 hours. It was not scary. You could hardly see any of the scenes. Save your forty dollars rent a scary movie with you family and order a nice dinner. So disappointing.
First of all, waited in line for just over 2 and half hours and we were about 10-15 cars behind the entrance to the haunted house(more like an abandoned junk yard). The actors were not wearing make-up but only making so called scary noises. The ones that were wearing a Halloween mask were outfitted with there reebok, Hollister and skater wear. Not suitable for a haunted house .Point being, if yall are going to charge 40 dollars per car and we have to wait hours in line before going through, try to at least make it some what scary and dress the actors in scary costumes. Not in there school clothes. Also, dont have regular employees and security walk through the hauhouse, it kills the mood. As if wasnt bad enough already.MAKE AN EFFORT.dont waste your time and money on this yall.
Such a good experience w my boyfriend & my dog morty so so much fun and kind staff
One of the coolest Drive thru Haunted Houses I have ever experienced.
I understand how Covid is a problem for haunted houses but honestly this was just a waste of time and money. The wait time was 2 hours long which was ridiculous and the “maze” was so predictable with their basic props and maze path. Their scare characters were also just a bunch of kids with Adidas shirts and fake knifes..how is that scary? Also to mention they weren’t really safe with the cdc regulation. One of the scare characters came up close to my face (and somebody else in the car) at the window with no mask. I honestly recommend not going.
4hr wait, NOT WORTH A PENNY... no staff, no organization, not realistic at ALL. Not only mad about loosing my money it’s my time im infuriated. DONT WAISTE YOUR TIME!!! If i could give 0 stars that would be a fair rating.
I would have like to have given them 4 stars for the haunted drive thru as it was fun once we actually got to go through it. The wait to get to that point would earn zero stars. From the time we entered lane 3 to the time we actually entered the haunted drive thru was OVER FOUR HOURS!!! I would suggest some signs advising people of the wait times at certain intervals. It would be much appreciated to know what you are in for. Also, dont waste your money on the food. Not sure what awards Porkys Pulled Pork has won, but its the absolute worst. Bring your own snacks or eat before you go.As far as the haunted drive thru, we enjoyed it once we got in. Looks like they were short some people as about half of the sets looked abandoned. The person in the evil bunny mask was fantastic and sufficiently creeped out my husband, which I thoroughly enjoyed. If you dont mind waiting your ENTIRE night to get in, I recommend.
Line was absurd and the security guards upon entry did not have masks and talked very close in our window. Not ok, and it sounds like the same once you are in. Don’t waste your time and keep yourself and your family safe.
They did a good job with what they had, I definitely got scared a few times and it was better than I expected. I also stupidly allowed my car battery to die and was stranded in the line and the staff was able to get someone with jumper cables out to me really quick, so I was grateful for that.
Had a great time with the kids! They have vendors on site as well, I plan on going back...
Great time... screams, jumps, twist and turns... actors were great and scary!!
Great date night my husband and I had alot of fun!
Not worth the wait!!! The lines were disorganized and not moving evenly. We waited 2.5 hours for a so, so experience. They claim COVID safe practice however several actors screamed into our windows within inches of our faces.
This is a horrible scam not only do you waste the gas to go out there you waste your time waiting in line we waited in line for 6 hours only to finally go through what only best described as a junkyard at 2 a.m. there were maybe 7 people that were attempting to scare you along the way it was awful a horrible experience I would never recommend and would never do this again
They said they’d be open on thursday the 1st. date night ruined.:/Drove a few miles to find out this comment wasn’t true.
1 mile long of scaring pretty cool
Not scary at all, but was still worth the money and a fun experience. It was about 20-30 minutes long, which made it worth the money. It was pretty long and the maze part was fun with the strobe lights making it a little confusing. The waiting room was fun, there was food and karaoke. We waited about 10 minutes on a Saturday night.
Was fun different good idea
Complete waste of gas to get there...time for waiting an hour and a half to get in...and money because as expensive as it was it was not worth it...completly terrible experience never again...i guess people are just falling for being taken advantage of because they are bored sitting at home during this pandemic how ridiculous
Extremely boring. Everything was very predictable. I Walked through practically yawning. I went to one at Coronado mall a few years back and that one blows this away. Definitely not worth $20. We all were extremely disappointed. They had child actors and all they did was scream at you. Little to no props. Its like they put fog machines and strobe lights in a room and threw a mask on someone. We have been to haunted houses before and what makes them scary is the unpredictability which this one lacked big time. In the beginning, we were told dont touch props or actors and they wont touch you, my wife got hit in the arm by an actor and when we told the guys who follows you through the entire thing all he said was Ill let him know, no apology, no nothing. I am not sure if there are any other haunted houses in Albuquerque this year or not but if there is, I would definitely skip this one or even better, drive out to Moriarty and go to McCalls House Of Horrors. It is definitely worth the drive.
Rent a security is extremely rude & have no common sense..
Went on Wednesday and was able to get right in. The staff and actors were friendly unlike the reviews I read. We were in there for a good 30-45 min. It wasn’t terrifying but it was definitely a fun experience.
This was a disappointment! By the time you get up to the gate after the 2.5 hr wait, you just werent interested anymore. They made a bunch of money for a very poor experience.
Don’t do it! Waited OVER three hours for a sub-par haunted house. Poorly managed and planned. If I could rate them a 0 I would.
Its a rip of of fright dome in Las Vegas except double the price and an 1/8 the quality smh
This is a great haunted house. Its ooky and scary in the best ways. On top of that its huge and covers a good variety of scary subjects. I will be going again.
Dont worry about taking a diaper with you. Not scary but good for the little one. Be prepared to wait for a good while before your aloud to enter .
Was fun. The live music in the waiting area was superb. Sometimes youd get pretty disoriented but for the most part the actors would try to scare you in the right direction. It was a great experience
We really enjoyed this haunted house. Plenty of scares. Get there early to avoid a long wait. This is the longest haunted house in the world and it lived up to the title. We would recommend.
Worst haunted house I have ever been to. Never got scared. Literally the place is dark and hardly any decorations. Very poorly done and the actors are little kids screaming in your ear. You literally walk through a maze with dollar store decorations thrown on the floor. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!
One of the most best haunted house I have ever been to the customer service is great awesome the haunted house is scary I am very pleased and happy I encourage everybody to come and experience they treat you like if your family one of a kind thank you dragons House of Horror for the experience of a lifetime
Unfortunately the wait to get in was 2 hours but we got through the haunted house in 25 minutes. Most of the bodies are fake. Most of the actors are children, and once they attempt to scare you they tell you where to go next. They are very short on volunteers. Not worth the $20 each maybe $10 at the most. Besides you pay $5 just to park.
Honestly it was alot of fun. The costumes were amazing . Overall it was great .
I enjoyed it!
Drive thru haunt
Had a great time only problem was the groups were too close so there was no surprise because you can see whats going to happen.
Not worth the money. Your better off going to McCalls haunted barn.
FREAKING LOVED THIS PLACE Im terrified of clowns but after being chased by a chainsaw I think Im okay now
Worst haunted house ever. Do not waste your money
This “haunted house” is disappointing at best. Mostly children walking around talking to you, unfurnished rooms, and too many people walking directly towards the exit. I will not return, a giant waste of my time and money.
Management totally ruined the experience. management are little kids or fellons claiming to have power. and if you did something wrong, they say code red and literally 10 people all surround you and your date. so unprofessional, so harassing as all 10 people surrounded us and were very threatening in their presence with me and my date. dont come here!!!! they had no right to threaten me and my date with so many people literally 10 against me any my date!!!! Dont waste any money here!!!!!!!!
People giving this bad reviews are out of their minds. This was the best most fun and legit scared as heck as we have ever been, and we have done alot of these. We did the blackout night, so worth it, and we are still sweating. You guys are awesome - 10 stars!!!
This was a wonderful experience. I absolutely love haunted houses and this was by far one of the best I have ever experienced. The actors did a very good job and it definitely left me scared. I definitely recommend it.
Long, scary, cool set-ups, really don’t understand why this place is being given low reviews. I highly recommend this haunted house!!
BIGGEST waste of money, not worth over $5 a person. We walked through a boring, mostly prop-less dirt path, being harassed by too many 8 year olds in costumes. Their only directive must have been to “scream repeatedly, block people’s way, and talk too much.” I wish we hadn’t wasted a Saturday night, and spent as much as we did for such a let down. It’s only the “longest haunted house ever” because they have multiple spots where you MIGHT get lost and end up at a dead end. We were through it in 30 minutes, so I guess we didn’t get lost enough.... Seriously, this place is NOT worth the outrageous ticket price.
This was the work haunted house ever not worth the $20 bucks I spent do not recommend to anyone!
Biggest waste of time! 3 hour line followed by 1 hour of walking through cheap set ups and on uneven ground. Longest? Yes. Scariest? Not by far. It felt like there were only 10 actors working the entire house! And there were sponsor advertisements throughout it! Never again.
A great experience I was so pleased!! Prices were worth it and the wait wasnt a nightmare as slaughter house was were I was waiting 4 hours with a VIP. It took me an hour and a half to get through the haunted house and it was worth it! This is a haunted house you get your moneys worth. Its no quick run through, its like a maze in there! They were organized and didnt make it complicated to find where to buy tickets and where you need to go. Staff was awesome!! Cant wait to see what they come up with next year!!
Totally worth it. My friends and I all cried. :)
It may have the Guinness record for longest haunted house, but it is not worth it at all. Very disappointing. However maybe good for childs first haunted house.. Many empty spaces, not many props or actors. Over priced.
Very dusty, big waste of money and time. $5 parking on top of $25 admission, plus a $3.50 charge if using a card to pay. Wait time to get in is nearly an hour, if not more. Not scary at all. It was a big miss for my family and I. Not worth it.
This was probably the worst haunted house that I’ve ever been to! And I’m a little coward when it comes to being easily scared! First off you’re in a stable so it smells like manure and dirt. Second off it’s run by a bunch of little kids that scream annoyingly loud, and talk back to you in a way that breaks character. I was more scared of the price of the haunted house then the actual scary parts of the haunted house itsself! I would not recommend this place to anyone! I honestly recommend mccalls in moriarty over this place any day!
Worst “haunted house” I’ve been to. The lack of actors and scares was extremely disappointing. Mostly just small children screaming in your ear and breaking character frequently. Worst $28.50 I’ve spent. Would’ve been more scared walking around this part of town.
Had a blast. The clowns were the best. Seen other reviews saying they didnt have enough actors so Im not sure when they went. We constantly had someone jumping out or chasing us. They do need to do more towards the end but other than that we were entertained through out. I would definitely go again.
AWEFUL!!! I came here for my Birthday glad someone else paid for it. What a gift.... If I could put less than 1 star I would. Worlds longest Haunted House my bottom.
The walkthrough was cool, but it had too many gaps in it, you get to the peolpe infront of you too quik, some of it was boring and tried to hard to be scaryThe line for the walkthrough was complicatingand it took forever to get in the walkthroughThe waiting area was ok but alot of it was not entertaining and dont have alot in itBut the entire things is a 3/5 stars
Much better last year! Dont waste your money! Seriously, it was worth about $10 each, not $25. Go to McCalls so much more worth the money
Over a 3+ hour wait to enter if you show up at 8pm. Big props to the actors though; they did a great job. Even if there were only like 10 of them for the whole 1.4 mile maze. Not worth the wait, if it had been a 30 min wait; I would bump it to a 4 star. The scariest part was that line doe
This haunted house had the potential to be awesome with how large it is and the cool props inside, however they do not have nearly enough actors throughout the house. We walked for the first five minutes without being scared by anyone at all, and we went on a Saturday night so I would think they would have enough actors. There were so many missed opportunities for someone to scare us but when you don’t have the staffing, makes it kind of impossible. One of the actors was messing with the CD player when we walked by and didn’t scare us or open the gate we were supposed to go through so we ended up wandering through the actor’s area before realizing we were in the wrong area. Had to go back and ask the actor where to go and he tried to let us out the emergency exit instead of where he should have originally prompted us to go.. seeing people out of character was a bummer..I will say though that I love the set up at EXPO fairgrounds with the other attractions like the freak show, escape room, and quarantine! They even had food and drinks (Beer garden) available which was awesome ! Awesome job there Dragon’s House of Horror! Hire some more actors and it would be A+
I’ll try to keep it strictly to the facts of what you will get here. It is mainly a long maze of raw plywood boards in the dark. A lot of it has no decoration and just a few props in the corners now and then. It feels like they made the structure and only finished decorating 30% of it or so. Make sure to wear clothes and shoes you don’t care too much about because your shoes will be covered in dirt and you might snag your clothes on some raw plywood which you are constantly bumping into. There are several areas where they did decorate, but it is so low budget that even those areas just felt like a a local school haunted house for the most part. There is also one section where you have to push through this very tight plastic hole where the walls tightly push against you. So prepared to have everyone in Albuquerque rubbed on you because I’m sure they don’t wash it. (I actually caught a cold right after this but am not sure if it was related).Like others have said, there are long stretches where you may not see any performers. Some of the maze elements become frustrating more than fun because you don’t know where to go and the performers don’t always tell you, so you are just in the dark in the center of a bunch of plywood wanting to move on with your life. Some of the performers were good and a lot were trying their best, but you may overhear some chatting at times. There are also some children that run towards you in a couple sections and it doesn’t feel like part of the scares, you just feel confused and wonder if they are lost. There are also several places with uneven surfaces in the dark. There were a couple times I almost tripped and I’m surprised you don’t need to sign a waiver to go in there. There was one part of the maze where I turned a corner into a pitch black hall and there was some stuff on the ground that I almost tripped on, and it turned out you were supposed to go a different way.We looked at our watches and the whole thing took us about 20 minutes and we weren’t trying to rush. There is no way anyone is going to take an hour in this at a normal speed. All in all, it’s not very good but it is something to do around Halloween to switch things up. It’s not terrible but it does have many issues. There were a few cool parts to it with some decoration and lighting but you will mainly remember it as bumping around in a dark maze of plywood.
About half an hour of my girlfriend screaming in my ear! Lots of clowns and little creepy kids. Fun show while we waited. Only thing not scary was a panda in an edm club music area. Overall great experience.
This haunted house was well done and very frightening... up until one point. The person who collected out tickets told us that the actors could not touch us and that we could not run. When my group got to the men with chainsaws they cornered us and would not let us go. It was scary and okay for the first few seconds but they kept us there for at least 5 minutes and were touching us with chainsaws. They finally let us go but only if we ran. We had to run, causing me to twist my ankle. At least 5 times throughout the attraction we were told by the scarers to run, when in the beginning we were instructed not to and you shouldnt because the path is not made to be ran on. It was rediculous to pay just to get hurt. Would not recommend.
Waited in line 2+ hours for nothing. There were hardly any actors around and when they did pop up, they werent into it at all! Not worth the time or the money. You do walk a lot, but its not filed with a scare factor at all. Have a blast somewhere else.
One of the best cant understand why people are whining and complaining but will go again. Good job.
Very good actors. Scared me but also made sure I was okay to keep going when me and my friend fell
One of the best haunted houses weve been to.
Waited in line for an hour plus. Not too many actors. It got dusty. Could have been more scary. This is good for people who dont like to be scared.
Very unprofessional, we were not even halfways when they decided to turn on the lights and all workers where outside. Spoke to the owner couldn’t give me a refund and hungup on me! First and last time they get my money. Not worth the money this one or the other one they have at the studio. Pathetic
I love it. Had great people felt real best haunted house ive ever been to youve got a customer for life i give it 100% thumbs up
What a complete waste of time and money!! The first twenty minutes were so so. The rest was a total yawn fest! In trying to break the record for longest haunted house they totally blew it by having too much dead space with absolutely nothing going on!! Unleveled ground, walking in dirt with lights out and no actors around is not my idea of fun AT ALL. We actually asked someone to lead us out early because we were so frustrated with walking, walking, and walking with ABSOLUTELY NOTHING happening!!!!!!! I will NEVER go back. Thank goodness I used a Group On and didnt pay full price or I would have really been disgusted.
They are focusing way too much on the length of this haunted house, rather than on the quality. Not enough props and way too few actors, but dont worry they have plenty of empty hallways to keep you entertained. Waste of money.
It was a long walk, very un-leveled ground (wear comfortable shoes). Also there could have been more actors. I noticed once we walked into the stalling area, there were no actors. Couldve been a little better, the dust did get to me. and the strobe light did give us headaches.
Awesome event. There is a beer garden, food, Thrill Show that was included with my ticket and about 40 minutes of scares! I saw Jason from Friday the 13th and Pennywise the Clown from IT and the prices were reasonable! There is also an Rscape Room and a horror show all right there at the fair grounds. So much fun!
2nd visit to Dragons House of Horror. This visit by far exceeded the first visit 2014. The long halls, mazes, feeling of being done with walk only to be lead into another hall of individuals popping out to scare you. The chainsaw sounds as you approach the area were spine chilling and did scare me into running into the person who as about 10 feet in front of me. Enjoyed and will be back next year!!
Not worth the $$, Mc Calls haunted house or Quarantine on montano would be better. I dislike the fact that they didnt have enough actors and everything was lit up and compacted. Not worth the time and would like others to be aware, before regretting coming here.
This was the LAMEST Haunted House I have ever been to, and that includes the Church sponsored ones we laughed at when I was a kid.We got there at 7:00 pm (opening time) and waited in line until 11:30 -- by which time, most of the actors had already gone home. We saw, maybe,18 actors TOTAL in a one mile walk,on uneven terrain, through strobe lights and the stink of horse manure, and THEY were no longer interested in trying to scare us... they were chatty. We passed on McCalls, this year, to try this Haunted House, and I regret that decision with every fiber of my being. McCalls doesnt have these problems, and if they did, they, most likely, wouldnt have acted like WE were being unreasonable for not enjoying it. I wont make that mistake twice. To the Guinness Book people... This may, technically have been the Worlds Longest Haunted House, but dont forget the other categories in which they won the record -- Worlds Lamest Haunted House, Worlds Longest Wait for a Disappointment, and Worlds Longest List of Whiny Reasons Why It Didnt Scare Anybody.
This was the biggest waste of money. Lack of creativity, prolonged walking sections with no actors or props overwhelmed this haunted house. Halfway through I just wanted to go home. I feel very let down and sort of sour with the fact that this house got a permit for the world record of longest haunted house. They simply dragged out a bad design with a bunch of walls. Most costumes were generic and know real creativity shines through. Booo.
I hated every minute of it. Paid $20 to wait in line an hr+. To not get scared! Biggest mistake ever! So not worth it!
Wait wasnt HOURS.they also provided entertainment for u while u wait.they sell beer as well.and they text u so that you dont have to stand in line.ive seen the evil life so it was cake but the wife really got a scare.enjoyed that ALOT
I worted and was parts of the last honted house from dragon house of horror really fun but now its time to see things frome the other side, hope its really good
This place sucks a three-year-old can walk through it by himself its just a big mess with nothing in it dirt and water and mud its not worth 25 bucks and then the zombies like its not even a zombie its a guy in a predator suit I would never go here ever again waiting in line for 3 hours just to walk around in dirt and mud
We went to see this last night. It is a long walk with lots of mazes. The ground is not level, so wear good shoes. True there wasnt a lot of actors but, the place was so huge, we felt we got our moneys worth and had a good time. Some employees have said that people have walked into walls or fainted out of fright. Im not so sure that fright was the case. It gets rather warm in there (dress kinda light) and there are LOTS of strobe lights. If you got a pre-existing condition (like me), that could possibly take you down. I have low blood pressure and worried a few times that Id have a bad spell. The mixture of the heat and lights eventually got to me a little. We really liked the Asylum, Regans Room and chainsaws always make me nervous. LOLSome people took little kids (I dont know why) and they had a nice man (employee/actor) there coaching them beforehand about how it was not real and not to be afraid of. Then I noticed later that he doublechecked on them during their tour. Ive only been to a few of these houses and this was the first time I saw an employee care.
Longest line ever for the worst haunted house!! Not scary at all.. Only about 10 scarers for a mile of crap!
At Expo nm 300 san pedro ne albuquerque the scariest haunted house
Waited in line for two hours just to walk around in the dirt alone with no one even trying to scare you for another hour.
We loved it !!!!!
Dragons house of horror part of expo fright fest largest haunted house on the east side of albuquerque along with zombie laser tag and strange danger thrill show and nm fright fest and sugar zombie its on of there largest horror event in new mexico
Over priced for quality.
