Lovely, green, neighborhood course. Lots of neighbors visit the park and playground. Just be a little patient and let them know youre throwing. You will have to avoid some backyards on hole 4 and 6. Dont think too much about going OB, just throw it confidently with a good fade. Its a good morale boost course. You should be able to throw at least a few under par and a birdie is possible on every hole. I can usually get a couple eagles, which feels great. You can really let loose on holes 2 and 3, just make sure no ones on the playground for hole 3. The hardest holes are 7 and 9. The hill on 7 is steeper than it looks. Trust your backhand hyzer on hole 9 and throw it hard around the bend. Respect the course and everyone on it and it will treat you very well!
Beautiful! Large grassy area, disc golf, picnic tables some covered, childrens play area with toys.
Very nice pleasant place to go. Walk the dogs. Nice views of the mountains
The playground has been updated relatively recently. There are now two structures: one for kids 2 - 5 and the other for older kids. They seem to be well designed to meet the abilities of those ages. There is also a section on the younger side that has musical devices: drums and bells that my baby has been able to enjoy from about 6 months. Lawn is fairly well cared for and was kept very green this year. Fyi: No public restrooms because it is in a residential area.
Park has a beautiful view. Needs more shade only had 1 table with a small shade over it. This park would also be nice with some more tables and maybe some outside cooking grills. I didnt see any bathrooms. This park would be a great location for a swimming pool.
Relaxed place to go with family
Disc golf review only. 9 holes. short course ~24 minutes to play it all. 1 hole over 400 and a few over 300. bring a midrange disc. OB is generally the road or someones back yard with a brick fench. hole 3 and * is near play park so might have to wait a few minutes for the kids to clear away. overall good course great scenery.
Nice grassy park with a short 9 hole disc golf course around it. Good view of the mountains.
Pulled my muscle on my leg doing a cartwheel!! Beautiful park!!
Nice casual disc golf course. Cool playground for the kids. Clean and well maintained.
Not a big park but good for dog walks and disc golf. Has small play area for smaller children.
Great for disc golf, great for kids, great for dogs, all around nice park, only problem is they water in the morning between 7 and 8
Very clean and peaceful
It has the only Frisbee golf course in Rio Rancho as far as I know. 9 holes, alot of fun.
Easy to navigate.
Gorgeous park, tucked away from the bustlings of Lomas and I-40. The view of the Sandia Mountains are spectacular. The rise at the center of the park is also a great place for meditation as its surrounded by noise dampening trees while still maintaining an excellent view. This park was well worth stopping for.
Nice little Frisbee Golf Course.
Grwat place to play frisbee golf
Spacious park with a beautiful, unobstructed view of the Sandias!
Beautiful grass and just bumpy enough for the kids. Excellent views of Sandia Mt.Ballon fiesta park and great location for Rio Rancho fireworksThe neighborhood is lovely also.
This park is pretty fun especially in the winter. There is a lot of large Hills and you could go sledding. Also the whole park is set up to play Frisbee golf. There is a playground for the children as well. Could be a little bit Greener and cleaner but this is New Mexico so cant be too picky.
Leashed dogs should be allowed and poop bags posted on the rules board. Other than that its beautiful and a good size
I am used to playing much more difficult courses in Colorado, yet I found that the most difficult aspect of this course was the consistency of the wind. That, and the fact that the sign clearly states that only service dogs and guide dogs are welcome here, yet I had to wait for some blatantly arrogant local who was walking both of his dogs illegally around the park as though it was a canine restroom facility, which it is not! Perhaps I should have just shot first and offered explanations later, after potentially causing injury to either him, or one of his dogs...
I love this park they have a beautiful area for grass that you can walk on lay down in they have a gazebo also have a really good structure for children to play on. Its in a very nice quiet safe neighborhood. Even if you just want a good place to go walk theres a nice walking Track around the entire park very nice and its not a straight back and forth path either its got some curves and edges to its nice.
Beautiful view! Nice park to walk .
Quick dog walk before the Vet. There is a cool looking vrisby golf course too.
Beutiful park especially now that Franklins Earthworks is laying down some new asphalt paving !
Nice neighborhood park with an amazing view as the location is at an elevation giving your a valley and mountain view. Has playground equipment for the children and some picnic tables.
Nice park with frisbee golf and a playground, not much shade though
Nice quiet relaxing park.
Small but well kept up. Has a playground with a safety mat on the ground and nice new equipment a frisbee disc golf course and the Pièce de résistance is a magnificent view of the Sandia mountains.
I wish more parks looked more like this one, although after seeing rattle snakes, it just goes to show that you cant have it all. A perfect place, just missing a water view.
This park is awesome and so are all the families that came here today!!
Great park just needs restrooms and water fountains
Decently designed course, pretty easy, very open and quiet.
Lots of green grass and room to run around.
Beautiful disc golf course perfect for beginners
This is a cool park, has a frisbee golf course and some pretty nice play sets for kids.
It has a great playground that is different from the others. It has a separate area for 2-5 year olds. The older kid area has a third level with a ladder going up to two tall slides. Great views of Albuquerque and the mountains. Great place for a picnic, even while watching the kids play. Picnic tables are scattered through out and near the playground.
Nice park. Bonus disc golf course. Be aware that some holes line up with backyards and are not easily accessible.
A great grassy park. Frisbee golf. a small playground and tons of open space. hills great for snow boarding in the winter.
Nice park for kids with a playground and also features nine holes of frisbee golf. All grass and plenty of open space yet enough trees for shade.
I love all the grass at this park. Its fun to take the frisbee out and play. Its kept clean and landscaped.
Frisbee golf park tons of fun
Disc golf course is pretty well maintained, but no tee pads and the course is very short.
Very nice park.
Super nice and great view
Nice park
Awesome frisbey golf
Our second favorite park I. Rio rancho, offering a playground and frisbie. Parking on both the top and bottom makes this super easy to access.
Grass all nice and green. Clean.
Nice park. Has Frisbee Golf and Pokémon and Ingress locations. Fun for little kids as well.
Great disc golf.. just down the street
I did not go here but, i was house hunting so....hmmm. what can i say?
Great disc golf course for a quick 9
Nice little disc golf course.
My review of: Vista Hills Park in Rio Rancho, New MexicoI have found the land of the Teletubbies! Thats what I thought of when we pulled into the tiny parking lot at the bottom of this steep hilled park. This cute park has very green grass, Frisbee golf course, and a wood chipped play area. The play structure is castle looking and has zigzag slides that are very fun. There are picnic benches and a water fountain but no restroom.
I like the new play area they added
Very cool playground, with lots of open space, but watch out for frisbees!
Peaceful
Nice play ground for the kids. And has disk golf.
Nice park!!
Nice quiet park. Has a frisbee park
Has a 9-hole frisbee golf course.
Gr8 for my old lab nice view
Nice fluffy grass...not a dog park.
But too breezy
Lots of fun activities for the entire family
Nice park, frisbee golf course

Real nice park.

Great place to bring your family
Quiet..clean..BEAUTIFUL view
There was a man knocking on the door asking for a cigar box he tried to look inside be on the look out I think they are looking to rob houses
Frisbee golf
Love this beautiful park.
I like this disc golf course a lot. It has green rolling hills and obstacles that force players to use different techniques. There are tee box markers with overview of pin location. I never see other players there...come on out and toss some discs...
Great
New equipment
Very sketchy location
It was grear
Great for the kids
Who doesnt like frisbee golf, green grass, and no junkies?
