Best park around! My father spent almost everyday here cleaning, fixing up, fishing disc out of the pond an returning them, playing disc golf here with all the wonderful people of River City Disc golf club along with anyone who showed up and needed help. Now in his honor I bring my son out to keep his legacy going in giving back to the park and disc golfers. The disc golf club and community along with his family want to name the disc golf course after Daddy Dave Tyree. If anyone can help make this dream come true please reach out to us. You can find the club name above on Facebook also.
The park is very safe and office a lot for family gatheringoutstanding areas for picnics and bike riding.
Fantastic park. Tons of trails and paths to bike or big your dog. There were people flying kites on the soccer fields. Beautiful park. Must see the azeala gardens.
Beautiful park with one of the best disc golf courses in Richmond. The disc golf is definitely for more experienced players. Not complaining but letting you know people love to make out here so he prepared.
Bryan Park is nestled just outside the city at the 95/64 interchange, so its easy to get to from any direction. The park itself has a little bit of everything to accommodate the needs of social sports or family outings. The nature center is a must see and a true nature center that not only creates a fun family friendly atmosphere, but very educating as well.If youre like me then you love finding new places to hike, fish and enjoy the outdoors. This has it all. The trails look like they should be in an urban area, which is very good given how close the park is to the city.So if youre looking for a place to escape the craziness of this world, even just for a few hours; go to Bryan Park.
The Farmers Market is always a great Saturday outing. Great vendors! Great selection of vegetables, and plenty other things to choose from.
Enormous park, great for all ages. Some really cool historic picnic shelters. Perfect spot for a picnic!
Beautiful park visited for the Grow RVA Farmers Market which was amazing! Live animals, fresh fruits & veggies, homemade breads and pastries, fresh flowers, micro brews, coffee & food stands. Jewelry, handcrafted soaps and you can bring your dogs!
Great place, there was a market today. Its a perfect place to visit. I liked it
The park is immense. Great area for walking and just enjoying an afternoon out or a morning run. They also have a farmers market on Saturdays with plenty of vendors, good snacks, fresh eggs, frozen gourmet packaged food for sale (which are amazing). Great atmosphere. Make sure you bring a mask.
Nice, big park...lots of space to spread out. Be warned though...the frisbee guys own the park, not the city. We were there filming an interview and two guys walked into our frame to play and told us we needed to move. Rude!
This park is well maintained and easily accessible from the highway. Great place if you like to play frisbee golf, or just want to walk around. Well kept facilities.
Enjoyed going with family. People were social distancing. There was a soccer game going on. This is a nice clean large park.
I would love this park, but too many people dont follow the leash law there. I have been bitten by unleashed dogs there twice, and have had countless run ins with unleashed dogs. Otherwise, its a great place for all kinds of activities. I bike, run, walk, and pre-virus brought my son there to play at the play ground and ride his bike along the paved trail.
Great park to chill, walk around, enjoy the creek and theres a disc golf course if youre into that
My grandson and I had a blast we caught a bunch of fish and smack the baseball around at the baseball park
Bathrooms would be nice. And paver or concrete t pads on the short Ts.
Its a nice park. Good for evening dog walking. Parking is big. Overall nothing spectacular but average plus.
Lots of trees and varied plant life. Plenty of open spaces as well for running around, tossing frisbee. Would like to see better upkeep though. One pond had algae everywhere and the roads need paving. All in all, not bad.
The Park is a wonderful place. It is clean, and well groomed. The wooded trails need some work. There are a few trees down. But given the current situation, it can be overlooked.
One of Richmonds best parks - beautiful landscape and good recreational facilities.
Phenomenal disc golf course. It can get a little packed in busy hours, but its the best one around.
I love that the Farmers Market has moved here. Theres so much more room and tons of vendors. Bryan Park has great paths for walking/jogging/biking.
There are a lot of nice walking paths and a fishing pond. Its a good place to bring your dog for a walk.
Great farmers market! Weather was perfect and so were the amazing vendors.
I throw discs here with my friends. I hit a goose once with a frisbee and I was all worried I hurt it, but it was ok but now is a pro life activist, so I guess i should have thrown it a little extra hard. How come we cant adopt gooses at the SPCA?
Beautiful and large park with some great nature trails and streams and wild and edible plant sightings. Good place to forage mushrooms too.
I love the open space of this park and the amount of parking available. Children play soccer in the fields. There is a tennis court or two. A dragonfly-butterfly-themed playground is ever fun for adults. It includes swing sets! This is my favorite park in the Richmond area period, end of story. They had a program in which goats of all shapes and sizes were moved about the park to eat up the harmful weeds growing over the trees. These little guys worked fast. They were used to being watched and some small guys would follow me around when i tried to see other goats around the enclosure. There are ponds and rivers and swamps to view with wildlife and nature all around! Lilly pads, frogs, turtles, ducks, and geese! In the back, they maintain a wildlife area with plants specifically planted to bring butterflies into the area- hence the butterfly-themed playground! There is a trail in the back this is good for hiking. You can also find a bike trail which is paved nicely like a road.Obviously i cant stress enough how amazing this park is. This is an asset to the community and we should all work to preserve it.
Great outdoor walking and sight seeing also very comforting area wonderful for family day
Beautiful park with well tended soccer fields!
Went there for the Farmers Market. Quite a lot of vendors there and some exceptional produce. The park is very well kept up also
Beautiful place to bike or play disk golf or walk around, definitely a place to regularly visit for me!
Nice park. Frisbee golf is cool.
A very large, clean park. Pond for fishing, trails for hiking, Nature Center, covered areas for picnics, grills for cookouts. Saw many different groups playing Disc Golf. Ample parking.
Challenging but do-able disc golf course. Come enjoy it!
I run here to burn off shameful fatty fat. Someone almost ran me over
Beautiful and relaxing place to enjoy disc golf.
Most of the time its empty and has plenty of trails to wander through. Great for dogs and kids alike as well as picnics by the duck pond and casual frisbee golf games!
Great park with a little of everything available. Walking paths, tennis courts, jungle gyms for kids.
Great wzlking trail. Only problem is none of them are marked
So fun!!! Brings back old memories. We had a top secret bday event (so cool) Although because of CORONA, the playground was closed. Great for bday parties -Love-
Great big park with so much to do! The farmers market makes it even better!
Getting to the soccer field was confusing. There is Porta potties at entrance of the soccer fields.
Great day at the Farmers Market.
Bryan park is one of Lakesides finest features. Its huge, has one of the best disc golf courses in Virginia, and its full of hidden treasures I dare not speak here. But spend some time walking around, youll find little trail heads that lead you to interesting places. It is, however, sadly underfunded by the powers that be. There is a great group of volunteers and staff that work dutifully to keep it nice for the rest of us, but $$$ is needed to really bring the potential of Bryan Park out. I wish there were more to this place, but its still a beauty unto itself.
I grew up going to this park. I lived right down the road from it for years and years. Its lost some of its former glory, but its still a really great place to walk the dogs or have a picnic. Theyve even got a kids play area now (which didnt exist when I was young. Im jealous.).
Clear, paved running paths, a disc golf course and lots of green open spaces. Great place to walk the dog get a bit of exercise in. Just not on Saturday mornings. At least not if you desire any quiet whatsoever. Local soccer teams use the area for practice. Not complaining, just be aware theres a lot of soccer mom traffic that time of day and week.
The park was quite lovely today. Azeleas starting to do their thing and lots of trees in bloom. This park should be great place to walk and or bike, but too many people choose to ignore the leash law for their dogs. We were accosted by 2 large dogs today. They were friendly, thank goodness, but none the less they frightened my little Grandson. So if you are walking/biking you have to be on constant lookout for unleashed dogs. Its very disturbing.
I HATE THAT PLACE SO MUCH THAT I SCRAM WHEN I GO and by the way I gave it 1 star so nah nah nah boo boo I wish I could give it a zero! (:
Always nice great place for all the family
Shame City of Richmond has neglected this park. The Azalea Gardens are a complete wreck, Have never seen a Park look this bad.
What a wonderful morning at Bryant Park
Nice and quiet..ideal for cycling, day hiking, yoga or just grillin and chillin
Fishing was good, to many disc golfers and some guy skinny dipping for discs
This iconic Richmond park shouldnt be subject to rating.
Best park near me by far so fun
Mostly people who love reading books and spending time with both parents.
Great walking and Farmers market.
Went to the farmers .market. what a nice day
Amazing and beautiful park, awesome disc golf course
Saturday Morning farmers market today as great
Great for walking, running or cycling!
Best park in N Richmond.
Nice place for a good walk
I flew a kite and threw football with my partner. Very peaceful afternoon!
Love this place!! My parents got married there many years ago. Love to walk my dogs here!!
I grew up playing on the rocks under the waterfall at Bryan Park in the summertime and now I love it for the amazing disc golf course. This is a real asset for the City of Richmond.
Large park with great amenities; azalea garden is beautiful. Disc golf course is also one of the best in Richmond.
Fun place for walking, soccer games, and much more!
Just needed to for the night due to travelling. Party of 3. Accommodations were nice. Only drawback was that pullout mattress was thin and not comfortable. The bed were though. Staff was very nice during our stay. Thanks.
Who doesnt like parks. Could use a little more maintenance but I know there are budgets. I particularly like walking on the woodland paths.
Beautiful park with great trails
Beautiful and expansive park. The best frisbee golf in Richmond.
This is where Enzo and I go for our walks
Beautiful place great walking trails
I like driving through and it3in my neighborhood! Never knew!
This is one of my favorite parks in the Richmond area. Ive been going here ever since I moved here 5 years ago. I bring my dog and my family here its fun for the whole family. Its huge and they have so much to offer.
Nice park right outside of the hustle and bustle, but has a need for some upkeep since the pandemic started, as is expected
Lovely park with azelia garden, walking trails, pavilions, soccer fields, creeks and a pond. Love going here in the spring!
