Owner was rude and 1st time in my life had to show receipts that we paid after already teeing off. To many players booked and play was slow.

They only have one set of women’s club rentals and there’s no way to guarantee that they will be available when you schedule. They overbook themselves so you have to wait an excessive amount of time at each hole because there’s so many people lined up in front of you. Currently, we are at hole one, with 5 carts in front of us, we tried to skip to hole 2, but there were people lined up there as well. They need to space their appointment times out more and not allow such large groups.

Place was rough for the price you pay... took my 10yd kid for a ride with me and had to pay full price for him.. no junior special? Oh he told me it was Twilight so I paid $38 and that was my special when I only pay 15 at Cinco Ranch and it’s a much better course. Also not very friendly. I have friends that go there and I came out to tag along with them but I’ll probably Will never go back there again..

I like this family run golf course. This course has good greens and a difficult layout. Clubhouse is nice with good sandwiches, etc. And large enough to host decent sized golf outing. Nice track.

Good course, great people. The owners operate Sienna Plantation, Greatwood and River Point. My favorite of he three is Sienna, but River Point is a close second. I have played River Point ~20 times and have always enjoyed it. It is a great value, especially on the weekends when similar courses are charging $60-$80.If you want to get away from house lined fairways and play a fun yet challenging course, play River Point from the tips. It is a great value and you feel like you are much further from town than you really are. The front nine is a traditional layout with water coming into play on 7 holes. The back nine has a links feel to it, with undulated fairways on a few of the holes. The Good - Inexpensive, Family run operation with nice folks, A round of golf in the countryInteresting layout, Greens and fairways in good conditionThe Bad - The club house facilities are below par, The course isnt in ideal condition, but its not a goat ranch by any means

I played this course in mid May, and found it absolutely perfect. My group decided to drive the 45 miles to play it, because we could not believe it could be as bad as these 6 reviews say it is. It is clear that the management of the course has listened, and we found the greens quick, and the fairways very good. As for the bugs, they are at all courses. The alligators are at home, and you are the interloper, dummy. We will definitely play it again and again.

Great course and I really enjoy playing it. Has some decent challenges and some holes that are just plain fun to play. Some risk/reward shots through out the course. Staff has always been super friendly to me and pleasant to work with. Generally really nice people. Its rarely a slow playing course and majority of the times Ive played it, players kept pace very well. Ive played it several times over the years and willing to drive from Katy to play this course. the price point for the course is GREAT!!..Lots of gators around that mind their own business but its fun counting them and watching them lying around. So dont get too close to the water holes or there just might be something there waiting on you...lmao. Lots of trees for shade while your playing, but Ive never run into tree trouble there. The design of the course and tree placement, if you have a half decent shot, they shouldnt really come into play, but sit out just enough to where you can pull up into shade at tee boxes and several of the greens. Overall, I highly recommend experiencing this hidden gem and thats exactly what it is.

I called in and the man who answers rushes to get of the phone, the fairways are decent and the greens dont have a lot of uniqueness to them to say the least. I wish the staff was a little more friendly including weekday mornings where they seem to not care at all. I have golfed here a couple times and if you havent heard of the place from someone you would never know its there. I see a lot of golf clubs involved with the community but not this one!

I read the reviews and figured Id tough it out anyways....below is my experience. To start, I play golf daily. Im a member at Pecan Grove CC, but actively play at surrounding new courses on Mondays (when theyre closed).First...its $35.00 for 18 holes with cart.Second...its a pretty wide open course. Its not overly difficult (10 handicap), but some of the par 4s can play long.Maintenance on the course has a little to be desired. There arent any hole markers, (colored) tee markers, ball cleaners....etc.The most disappointing thing about the course is that the putting greens arent really readable. Theyre mowed low for maintenance, but theres no effort to make the holes unique other than a general low-cut. They either play really slow (no rain) or a little less slow. (with rain)Lastly, I read the reviews about the bugs and much like the guy below me thought....its a golf-course, suck it up. Wrong! There is water on many of the surrounding holes, and the flying ants and bugs are bad....I mean really bad. I even remember reading the reviews this morning (before I decided to play) and while the bugs were swarming me, couldnt help but laugh since I didnt listen. Again, its not mosquitos, just a lot of flying ants and bugs.In conclusion, the fees are cheap. If youre just looking to knock it around a bit, this might be the course for you. If youre willing to pay $10 more, I think you can find more value in some of the surrounding courses. For me, this will probably be the last time I play here.Tip: If you have an extendable ball retriever, you can take home a ton of balls on the edge of the water around the par 3s. Caution though, Im told there are gators in the surrounding water. I wouldnt recommend playing or taking a young child on this course.

Ive been playing this course for several years and never had a bad experiance. For the price its great. Hole # 2 OB to the right and water to the left FYI. Blind flag so hit it straight. #7 is by far the hardest. Leave the driver in your bag. 5 iron and maybe 8 iron on the approach. #10 grip it and rip it. Reachable in 2 on this par 5. #17 is a beatiful par 3. Depending on the wind 8 iron should get you there from the whites. #18 is the longest hole on the lot. I have to lay up to get on in 3. Overall you will find this course very payable and usally its in fantastic condtion.
