Course was ok considering the water and soggy areas. It rained hard the night before, so Ill cut em slack on that. Played here many times and its an overall nice place to play when the conditions are good. Gotta hit em straight!!!

It is a shame that a golf course would even allow people to play on the course in such horrible condition. If I owned this golf course, I would just close down before allowing people to play. The greens were horrible. The fairways Were just as bad as the rough. The pins look like they haven’t been moved in several months. The golf cart parking brake didn’t work more than half the time. There is absolutely nothing I could say positive about this golf course. The only reason it received a one star rating is because I couldn’t Give it anything less. I have no idea how they are able to have a 3.8 rating. At this point, I would say the overall rating would be 0.5.

Do not waste your money or time. This golf course is littered with garbage everywhere. The greens are in horrible condition. Highway robbery, they charge outrageous prices for a terrible experience. You can spend less and golf at many different gold courses around. Without garbage, poor playing conditions and rude employees.

Pros: cheapest in town, decent greens, fun layout.Cons: no marshall, long rounds, they let groups larger than 4 out everyday, course conditions are bleh.

Fun course. Just wish pro shop was more friendly. $ 26 to walk. And if you get a golf cart, they charge you a riding fee if you bring a friend.($16)Only course in Va. that charges a rider fee. Lets all tell them that this is not the norm.Hat

Glenwooooood, Glenwood swingin

It is a fantastic course it was the first course I have ever played on. The staff is very nice and they try to help as much as possible for example, I hit my ball and it tailed right and Frank Adams help me find that ball. So I recommend this course you should most definitely play on it. The greens are kept in really great condition and the fairways are to.

It a good course. Very walkable in good weather. Greens, fairways, rough in good condition. Some of the tee boxes need a little care. Very playable, some challenging holes. Great price.

The course needs some work but I liked the layout. Not a long course, gives you multiple options off of the tee. A little bit of money would go a long way to get it looking better. Most of the issues were cosmetic.

This is a VERY affordable golf course. Very old PGA course open to the public. The rough is sometimes grown a bit long and you may struggle to find your ball, sometimes you have to be standing over it to see it. But overall, the reasonable prices keep me coming back.

This is a great golf course for beginners, kids, and low handicappers alike. The course is always in decent condition and is an old school design with small greens. Glenwood staff are extremely friendly and appreciate your business. Snack bar items are reasonably priced. Overall a great value for golf.

Decent course, decent prices and can be played with cart during and following rain. Excellent drainage.

Almost always able to get on this course. I am also if I willing to find a game, or someone to play with or compete against. Staff is very friendly and professional. You can find what you need to enjoy and test your golf skills. If you loose balls it is your own responsibility. The course is not tricked up. What you see is what you get. Good place to enjoy a round of golf and meet some interesting people.

Underrated, great value, two thumbs up for this oldie-but-a-goodie course. Well kept 18-holes and minimal crowds, a visit to Glenwood ensures a great time whether a solo golfer after work of with your foursome on a Saturday morning. The course is in great shape (not PGA quality, but still in great shape) with consistent greens and well kept fairways. Only reason a 4 stars is there isnt a driving range. Very nice staff, too.

Played Gleenwood today course in ok shape but they dont honor whats on golfnow!!! They make up on rates when you get there, and dont honor the twilight!!!! Today was last day playing at Gleenwood! !!! Its all about principal!!!!

This is a you get what you pay for situation. The course hasnt been updated since the 80s according to the gravestone hole maps. Extremely dry course and not much of a challenge. The club house staff was the only highlight.

Always a good day of golf.
