Introduced my son to this wonderful course and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Green is in good shape and fast. Fairways were well trimmed. Now that the high grass has been cut down, the course is friendly. Overall, I highly recommend this course.

Each year this course and its facilities get better and better. This is easily one of the best slope style courses you will find in Kentucky and that combined with its location along the Kentucky river and an awesome restaurant with TVs almost everywhere are three of the biggest traits that make this course unique.

Boones Trace was in exceptional shape especially late in November. Greens were cut tight and were rolling fast. Overall fantastic shape! Looking forward to return trip at a later date!

My wife and I are new members joining a couple of weeks ago. The course is in very good condition, fairways are in great shape greens overall are very good. The social atmosphere is 5 star. The staff and the owners, this is a family owned golf course, are fantastic they make you feel so welcomed. My wife and I are looking forward to being apart of the BTNG experience.

Enjoyed playing Boone’s Trace. Course is still in great shape. Love the atmosphere of the clubhouse. Super great musicians singing & playing sax when we finished our round. Great menu selection. Hopping place. One of our go to courses.

Outstanding course and friendly staff. The head groundskeeper is a young, up-and-comer that has made several improvement already. The course is tough but fair. The price of membership is really good.

Drainage issues in pretty much all low spots in fairways, pretty hilly course so... several places affected. Greens were pretty good. Rough seems to be overseeded, very thick. Hard course to play but enjoyable!

The course was a complete disaster and is a must not play . Played today. They’ve obviously not managed the course of the last several weeks. Every tee box was like hitting from a sand trap. The fairways have been over taken with nuts edge and crab grass. The greens are awful. Either they have an inability to manage the turf or they just have a tiny bit of golf course knowledge. The fairways if you find them have are over grown and wet. Drivers plugging.. wedges digging. Overall skip this course til maybe next spring. It needs a ton of ground maintenance.help. horrible golfing experience for the price.

Played the course on a long weekend trip. Course was is pretty good shape and a steal for the price. Fun layout lead to a great day on the course.

Good course, but difficult. The rough is often tall enough and thick enough for you to lose your ball. The hills can turn a good shot into a bad one. Its a good challenge for a good golfer.

Great layout!! Course condition was as good as any course Ive played in Kentucky... Greens held great and were quick and rolled so true!! Ill be back for sure and recommend playing this track

Course is in fantastic shape. Lived in the Richmond/Lexington area my whole life and I’m not sure I’ve ever seen it look better. Friendly staff. Highly recommend!

Bait and switch with online pricing, got an early morning 32.00, booked it and was hit with 16.00 cart fee. Once playing, be prepared to wait on every hole, on nearly every shot. Its a nice place, but when you run groups off every 7 minutes, with no regard for group size, you are going to back up!!!!!

The golf course is in great shape

Had a good experience today at Boone’s Trace. I would like to think the staff and crew for their diligence in helping find my range finder. I left my range finder in the golf cart the other day. When I got home I discovered it was not in my vehicle so I called the course. I told them I thought I had left my range finder in the cart they immediately started looking for it. Today I received a call from Tom telling me the good news that they had found my range finder. I have always found the staff and crew very professional and helpful at Boone’s Trace! GREAT PLACE!

Very nice course. The course was in great shape with nice par 3s.

I stopped in on my way home from seeing my granddaughter. Want to thank Tom for being so accommodating to me when I called and checked in later. The course was fun to play and challenging. Will definitely stop in again.

Attended a Wedding here. Very clean and accommodating for the event. Property and supplies to set up for the wedding were plentiful and very pretty. No complaints except for the air conditioning. Management for some reason didnt want to turn it on for the upstairs area... Where we held the reception.. Unless you can get something about the air conditioning being adequate, (or set to a comfortable level for the guests) in the rental agreement. I wouldnt count on this place being a picture perfect venue.

I had not been there since the new ownership, we played in a Scramble today and it was poor weather conditions. It was well organized, and the staff was very friendly. The course was very wet with all the rain- the crew did a great job making the course playable! Look forward to playing there again.

A MUST PLAY in central KY. Great course that is kept in phenomenal condition. Wonderful restaurant/bar and very friendly/helpful staff.

Just have to say that I will NEVER play this golf course again. The reason? has nothing to so with the course itself...it has to do with a certain part of the staff. A friend of mine left a case in the cart when he played there. had a few mid-expensive items in it, along with some cash. Had a logo on it from a club we belonged to. Didnt realize it was gone till the next day and called the course. Nothing found. Pretty sure whoever cleaned the cart out got a nice tip that day...but when you work/play at a course...you TURN IN ITEMS THAT WERE FOUND ON THE COURSE/IN THE CART. Cannot stand dishonest people that work/play on any golf course. Hence I will never set foot there again...EVER

Wow this course was in amazing shape considering what it has been in the past years.The new management has took this course from 3 star to 5 In just a few months, hard to believe but I truly have not seen a course have such a facelift in such short time. Unbelievable staff the people the atmosphere is top notch this course was really nice when it first opened and started falling fast mostly because they started overpricing to play here, hope they dont follow suit because I truly love this course now and want tomake this my new home course. Oh by the way I made a hole in one on 8 today and the staff made me feel special for such an accomplishment. Thanks for such a great day of golf and your hospitality!

The Bull at Boones Trace Golf Club is home to a championship golf course that ranks with some of the best in Kentucky. This tree-lined and open parkland layout provides a wonderful test for your all-round game, with many attractive, skilfully crafted and challenging holes to enjoy. A must play if you are in the area.

We went there to eat and not play. What a beautiful setting and the new improvements are amazing. Check this little gem (restaurant) out!

Greens and fairways were in poor condition... The security at the gate made you feel unwelcome. Sales counter staff spoke down to you as if it was a privilege to play there. Did not feel welcomed today. The price charged is to high right now for the conditions of the course.

Great Golf. Great Club House. Great service. Our Lexington group will be back.

Played here July 4th...has always been one of my fav tracks since its inception, but it has now reached the point where it is the best course in Central Ky, bar none. Layout, conditions, service...all excellent. And to top it off, they are hosting the Monday qualifier for the Barbasol PGA tournament.

Played here spur of the monent on the way through town. Staff was pleasant and accommodating.Fun layout, some unique holes. Fairways and greens in good shape, but rest of course could use a little manicure, however it doesnt effect play.Definitely would play it again.

Rather easy course, not to difficult, shot one of my lowest rounds and didnt play my best. Condition was ok. Greens were soft and slow. Affordable on fees

Its a quiet escape to an immaculate course thats always green because of river irrigation.

Play here pretty occasionally, normally good prices and course conditions.

Course is in ok shape. Prices are cheap. Staff is extremely rude sometime especially this morning. He should have stayed home in bed. Would be nicer course if they took care of their bunkers. I even got a 2 on a Par 5 which is more rare than a hole in one and they refused to submit it to the paper because they think it wont get put in. Customer service is terrible on weekday mornings avoid when you can!

Course is in pretty good shape. Definitely a good value for what the money (we rode 18 on a Sunday at 1 pm for $24).
