The holes we were able to play were very nice. We played while only half of the holes were open. Management should have reduced the number of tee times so there wasnt such a back up on the course. At one point, there were 4 groups (15 golfers) on one par 4 hole. Hopefully Ill get a chance to play all 18 when they finish repairing the other half of the course.
Played this course for the first time today and was very pleasantly surprised. Good layout, not complicated. Bunkers need a bit more sand but fairways and greens were very nice. I will definitively plan to play here often.
Course was in decent shape today. However, some recent weather wiped out a couple of the bridges, so we couldnt play all 18 holes. My gripe is that they couldve told me when I made the tee time. They also charged full price which is not the right thing to do.
Great course great folks great shape cant say enough about what a great experience it was
Pleasantly surprised at the condition of the course and hospitality if the staff. Everyone was gracious and accommodating and we had a great time. Ill definitely be back.
Great layout, multiple tee boxes to match ur level of golf. Rolling fairways, left, right, and hit to greens that run true.Ouch. What a concept. This course will challenge u.Go play!Hat
Course was in good shape for this time of year.
Fun track. A few blind shots, and some definite risk/reward par 5s. First time playing 5/22/20. Will definitely be back.
Great course and very fun to play. The staff is friendly and offers great service.
Great value on weekdays. Challenging course. The have taken exceptional Covid-19 precautions.
Great course overpriced
Great municipal track. Well kept and affordable.
Brutally slow round of golf ... and this was a mid-week, afternoon round. Too many other places to golf and not worth spending 5+ hours.
My daughter and her friend were trying to go back to our house where WE LIVE AND IT IS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD of the golf club. They were stopped by an old man with white hair and a beard, sadly they didn’t catch his name, he stated they were not supposed to walk there and it’s considered « trespassing »... and OUR house is in the neighborhood of the golf club! They had to walk the longer way to get to the house from the front instead of OUR backyard... So disappointed especially with everything thats going on right now!
Nicely laid out course, maintained very well.
Nice course.
An enjoyable experience...course was in rough shape until a new grounds crew took over and tons of improvements have been made...If you havent been to the course in a while you should make a u-turn. I dont think you will be disappointed!
Course in great shape !!
This course is a classic and always fun to play. The staff are always helpful
BUYER BEWARE. The course had huge amounts of leaves all over the course. Virtually no way to find your ball if it rolled into the rough, extremely frustrating. We played the front nine and asked for a refund based on the course conditions. They were not flexible at all and accepted no responsibility. Unfortunate customer service.
Providence is on the come up. Enjoyable course hidden in the middle of suburbia. Course its always challenging but fair. Understand there is a new superintendent and it shows.
Great old course. I played there in 1968 when it was called Pocoshock. Lanny and Bobby Wadkins also played there and practiced before they turned pro.5 stars.
Staying in the area. Looked for the closest course and came upon this one. I am glad I did. Walked 9, beautiful well maintained and challenging . It was fun!
Great course, variety of shots, 71 would be an excellent score. Very challenging. Staff is terrific .
Nice layout, needs renovations.
Nice place for a party, wedding reception, etc. Have to be a member or invited by a member.
Kristin was very accommodating, as were the rest of the staff. This is an excellent location through and through!
Been playing here for over 15 years. Always a great course, with great rates. I appreciate what they do for junior rates and junior play.
Nice facility, great staff. A lot of rain recently made these fairways/rough look awesome!! Greens have taken a beating with the foot traffic but in decent shape for a public course.
Great course. Staff is always wonderful.
Nice golf course considering how much rain weve had. Challenging course and the rate was reasonable, $39!
Course is in pretty good shape, tee boxes need a little work
Beautiful facility. Great accommodating staff.
Course is in the best shape I have seen it in a year or so. Great course for senior golfers.
The course here is very nice, but it is definitely priced higher than most gold courses in the area. My brother and I love to play here and it is included in one of our packages we get each year for gold courses in Virginia which is a big plus.
Awesome course, cant wait to go back again.
The tee boxes need maintenance, but the fairways is in good condition and the green are fast. They have new cars w/USB ports which is nice.
Course in very good shape, but rough is snarly and deep. Staff is very professional, helpful and pleasant.
The course is great! The greens are in great condition, the staff is friendly and always there to help, and they just got new golf carts! A hidden gem.
Gr8 service, beautiful course, but the rough really needs cutting.
Course is decent, but there are too many other public options in the area that are as nice, or nicer, for a much better value; Glenwood, Belmont, Hunting Hawk, Sycamore Creek, First Tee, Dogwood Trace are few that come to mind. For a short drive, Royal New Kent and Stonehenge blow this course away. Hate to vent, but $62 for a round?? And walking is not allowed.. No thanks.
Course is overpriced. Tee boxes and fairways are in decent shape. Greens need work, especially the fringes which are not in good shape. This is has been an ongoing issue for a few years. Traps are inconsistent with the sand. Twilight rates are expensive. Only play here because its convenient to my house. Staff is friendly in my experiences. For the amount of play the course gets it would seem it could be in better shape if more money was put back into it.
Its a great golf course I only gave it a four star because of the heat killing the t offs
Not real sure what happened but had a terrible time here..looked like they Bush hogged a farm field not a golf course. Scalped cuts and clumps of dead grass all over the fairway, and the rough looked like it hasnt been cut in weeks. Washed away sand bunkers..greens had been punched already and havent been cut in quite sometime ( little early I think esp since its still 90 degrees outside). All for the low price of 30 bucks for 9 holes after 4pm..come on guys
Have to agree with Mr.Silver. No attempt by staff at keeping pace of play reasonable. In fact, when attempting to give up a hole to pass an extremely slow foursome, we were verbally accosted by said foursome. (who claimed to be staff). I wouldnt be surprised it to be true. Used to enjoy this course a few times a year, but its gotten slower the last few times and this instance closes the case. Will not return and will recommend against if asked.
Its pretty. I enjoy the open space, but what a gross waste of our irreplaceable & costly water. Knowing that makes for a frivolous time. We cant regrow water. The amount used on commercial is obscene.
An interesting treat. Allot of shot making required for a not so long course. The fees are very reasonable and the staff was friendly. We felt welcomed!
Great golf course with several risk/reward holes. Almost always in great shape!
What happened to this golf course it used to be nice ? Greens were horrible never saw a smooth putt, no sand in the bunkers and no fringe. It cost 46 for twilight way over priced should be 20! Definitely not coming back.
The course is well maintained this year.
Totally sucked. They plugged the greens and didnt tell us when we reserved. Thencharged $62. And slow to boot.
A fun way to spend a day!
Childish golf course. Would have been a more challenging course at the Putt Putt in Midlothian Tnpk.. sad that I had to rate it as one star, didnt even deserve that.
Well maintained and just the right challenge!
Solid course if you can get a reasonable rate--not worth the nearly $50 it costs off the rack. Kept in good shape.
Just love the corse
Nice course
A bit pricey but course was in good shape and staff was friendly.
Well maintained course for being public. I play here regularly
The rough is too high, waste too much time looking for ball. Greens were slow.
Nice place but a little pricey for this course.
Service is always top notch. The course gets ALOT of play and still looks like a private club.
Course is in ok shape. Older crowds which leaves tons of divot marks and chunks out of the fairways. Absolutely no sense of time! Unless you plan on a 5 hr+ round of golf, dont go here.Tee off times are irrelevant- youll be waiting regardless due to the slow play and inconsiderate golfersI had an older member tee off and land his drive 10 ft left of me!! Never called 4 or even bothered to waitLooooong day! Over priced and over played- too many old ppl to get a round of golf in under 5 hrs. Ill never return here
The buffalo wings were good
Good course, that is played by, and run by very good people.
Underrated, this is a nice course in consistently good shape.
Great shape. Love this course
The rough is impossible, increase the pace of play with less rough no fun looking for balls just off the fairway .
Too pricey for the course
Best value and most challenging public course in Richmond
The course is overpriced.
The greens are really out of shape, and you probably need a driver to get it to the hole once youre on the green.
Very nice
Course in good condition.
Clean and quiet
Great course
The worst course around. Period
