Had a great time with my daughter. Troy was great help getting us set up & throwing our axes.

We escaped the Zombie room with 11 minutes and 25 seconds left! It was a ton of fun! The zombie was awesome! She was fun and she made the room exciting. I will say that the max number if players is 10 BUT the room is SUPER small for that size of people. We had 8 and that was plenty! The zombie will jump at you and you will leap back. We kept bumping into each other, so if you are pregnant I wouldnt do this room. When they tell you to interact with the Zombie DO IT!! She likes songs from Mulan! We will be hitting the 80s room next.

We went on Halloween night and it was just my husband and I. It was my first escape room and we had an amazing time. The host was so fun and the 80s room was great.

O. M. G.!!! The 80s room to put it simply just needs to be shut down. The game master was quirky but the best part of the experience. It was his second time to run the room and he didnt know what he was doing. He was kinda forced into it because the actual game master didnt show up. He did the best he could. As for the room... the company is obviously leaning toward the axe throwing portion of the business and the escape room has fallen by the way side. Two hour drive home and the topic of conversation was how bad this room was. Im gonna leave it at that in written format because we exhausted ourselves verbally talking about it. If this was a first timers experience then they would never play another escape room ever again.

Escape the 80s escape room was great! Melody (the hostess) was so much fun and helped our team along when we needed it. We will definitely come back for the zombie escape room and to try axe throwing!

Cheap, and not inexpensive. Cheap, dirty, everything you touch felt grime covered. The experience was not any better. If you want to use your brain to solve the puzzles go somewhere else. This place puts someone in the room with your team telling you the clues before you have a chance to figure them out.

Our experience was super fun! Our group worked really well together and we solved the room. Woo hoo! It was nice to have a staff member interact with us in the room so she could guide us when we were completely stumped. The room was challenging but not too hard. We had a great time and would definitely recommend Great Room Escape.

Wifes birthday gift. We loved it!! We got paired up with 6 other guys that we didnt know. Everyone was helpful in finding the clues and worked well as a team. We had 25min left to spare in the 80s room. Our guide Sarah (Dani) did an awesome job. She truly enjoys her job. Definitely going back for the zombies with family in the future.

This was by far the best escape room I’ve ever been to!! Eric was the one in the room with us, and all I can say is wow!!! He was so fun and played the part so well! I highly highly recommend and would totally recommend asking for Eric! Thank you for the amazing experience for my bday. So glad I came here.

We did the 80s room with a group of 10 and absolutely loved the room and the puzzles inside. The only reason we aren’t giving it a 5/5 is the guide that was assigned to us was actually in the room with us (which is fine just not typical to most escape rooms) and she was giving us clues and pushing us to solve the puzzle without us asking for hints. We have done various escape rooms and know when we are stuck to ask for clues so we would of liked to try and solve it on our own until we were certain we wanted a clue. Other than that would recommend!!

As a group outing for my coworkers and I we decided to try an escape room to as a team building event. There were a couple of my coworkers that has never participated in an escape room, so naturally they were a little hesitant when finding out that we were not only doing an escape room but the theme of this room is zombie themed. When we arrived Hector greeted us immediately and went over all the rules. He was very professional and very friendly. He assured those that even though the room will have a live zombie that will try to catch you, there will be no actual danger to anyone. Needless to say. We all had an amazing time and we all loved our experience! This is a must try a must do and we will be returning to do the 80s escape room and also the axe throwing!

I made a reservation for 4 adults not knowing if everyone was going to enjoy this adventure or not. We were in Nashville for 1 week and I can say this was one of the best experiences. Solomon was our awesome instructor and we had so much fun throwing axes and laughing and learning some history behind axes and the art of throwing. I cant wait till we visit Nashville again and will definitely include this venue in our trip. Thank you again from your forever friends in Florida and Charlotte.

Took my son and 5 friends for the Zombie escape room. They had a great time and the employees/actors were a special touch that I have not seen at other escape rooms. We recommend and will be back for axe throwing!

First time in an escape room. One of the few activities open on Thanksgiving so we decided to give it a try. Engaging and challenging. The puzzles are very creative. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. We had a blast. Would highly recommend.

Had the best time learning how to throw an axe and compete with friends. Our teacher Dakota was so patient with us. He took so much time to ensure we could figure out how to throw the axe and just made everything fun and enjoyable! The games were great and we never felt bored. We would definitely come back.

The “Great Room Escape” was allot of fun! I took my family there and we had a blast. The only thing was that it needed so work on making some of the clues more legible. The people that work there are very friendly and I would definitely do it again!

My wife and I had the best time ever at the Class Axe Throwing here in Jax. It was our anniversary present to each other where we wanted to do a unique experience where we do something weve never done before and our time there was so much fun. Our host was amazing, showing us proper technique to throw the axe 3 different ways, many different games and our made our time fly by. Well definitely be back again so that we can have fun again.

Everything that you would expect in a high quality escape room. My only concern is that I had to roam the halls to locate an employee to help us at the front desk. After I located an employee, he made us feel like we were not supposed to be there because we were 5 minutes late to our appointment.

This is a great place to go axe throwing. I went with a group of friends and had a blast! The instructors/coaches are great at explaining and showing you how to properly handle the axe and throw it. Ask for Chris! He is a blast and makes the experience fun.

I scheduled a birthday party for my daughters 11th birthday on a Monday (school holiday) here and we did the 80s room. The girls had SO much fun!! This was my first experience with an escape room, and there were several clues and puzzles/problems to solve along the way all to get to the goal. The 80s room itself was great! And, a coule of times, the in character employee would throw out clues to assist the girls, but never solving a problem for them, which was perfect. The staff was very nice, professional and accommodating. We had a GREAT experience and would love to go back to do their other escape room.

We had a group of 5 for my sons 19th birthday. This place is a blast! We had a personal axe-pert time help us. He was patient and fun. We played competitive games against ourselves and another team. He explained what to do berry well. The facility is clean and well kept. All equipment is in good condition. Would definitely go again!

Very fun and challenging. Gavin and Dean (the staff members) made the entire experience a blast. They were very helpful and knowledgeable, and gave us hints when we were stuck on a puzzle. We did the Zombie themed room.I highly recommend visiting this location, and will be returning in large part due to the staff! My only regret is not bringing cash to tip them!

Friendly, knowledgeable staff that ensured our axe throwing experience was well-rounded. They made sure we had enough beer, played the music we wanted and tailored our throwing games to the people in the group. I loved that my reservation group got randomly paired with other people to compete. We had a great time here !

Stress getting to you? Go throw some axes! We had a group of seven that threw on two adjoining lanes during our visit. The facility was spacious, clean and well lit. Chris, our instructor, was friendly, knowledgeable and made the whole experience fun! He offered great instruction and encouragement for inexperienced visitors. Patron safety was clearly a priority during the entire session. We will be returning!

What a fun experience!!! Just the right amount of intrigue and adventure with four walls! My daughter and I had no expectations and we were blown away. Some puzzles were easier than others and we had so much fun working together to solve them. I advise this for all families, couples, office team-building, etc. So much fun!

We had a great time. From 21-56 years old, we all enjoyed. I booked axe throwing for 6. We were only 5 since now my son has an axe-girlfriend. They offered ma a credit for the 6th spot, either for the huge haunted house or on a future axe adventure. Fun friendly competition with great training and party hostess ensured everyone got the knack and had fun. I have been recommending it to all.

Took my 14 year old son for his birthday with the family to throw axes and it was awesome! Tory was our instructor and he did a great job teaching all of us how to throw and worked with all of us if we were doing something wrong. They have you do all kinds of different axe throwing games which makes it so much fun. I highly recommend Dallas AXE Throwing!

I’ll start my review by talking about how great the customer service is with both the location but also as a company. I first booked two weeks prior and was unable to attend due to illness, gave customer service a call and they rescheduled the visit for me with no hesitation or problems and even allowed me to pick when was a good time for me to attend.Afterwards when i attended the facility, i was met with a great experience. The manager/game master was great. He showed my wife and I techniques and let us have fun. Very warm, inviting and fun environment and a totally perfect experience. 100% recommend this place and we will be back soon with many guests!!!

We took a chance to get out of our comfort zone and try something new as a family! We took our two older children to go Axe throwing! We read numerous reviews about this place and found a great deal on GroupOn and thought what do we have to lose! Dakota was our Axe-pert and made the learning process so much fun and pressure free! He is entertaining and we loved the games! Our family was still talking about the experience the next day! It was one of, if not the best, family experiences we have had! We will be back and you should too! It was a blast and some of the best money we have spent on entertainment. Our family highly recommends!

Our family had a great time throwing axes. Our instructor (Chris?) was fun and got three different groups happy about competing together. I was absolutely awful about hitting the target but still had a blast.

This is for the Axe Throwing not the Escape Room. Both are housed in the same suite and run by the same people. My wife and I booked for ourselves and were paired with 3 other couples. This was our first time and had a great experience. The attendant Sabrina was awesome! We would return and recommend the Axe Throwing.

I didn’t enjoy this escape room. It was extremely loud in the room since this facility also does axe throwing and the escape rooms don’t have a roof, they’re sectioned off by walls right next to the axe throwing. It was difficult to hear my team members and difficult to focus. Another thing I hated was that the person in charge of the room was in there herself. She was supposed to be “helping” with clues. She wasn’t, she was being condescending and then just outright giving us the answers when she got frustrated. I did the zombie room which I thought would be scary and fun. But you have to entertain the zombie to keep it from going towards the group so you have to talk to it or sing or ask it questions. That wasn’t at all fun, I wanted to look for clues not entertain a “zombie”.

Phoen-ax was an excellent instructor, making sure we had the right tips and tools to be successful. She never allowed us to give up! We (9 of us) came today on a team building function. Mission accomplished. We had a great time together. Smart-ax says: definitely try it yourself!!

Took 11 girls for part of a bachelorette party, and we had SO much fun. Great experience. Unique escape rooms highly recommend!

Place is nice. Staff is great. The only thing I would suggest is to provide a more clear understanding of what type of setting you are paying for. I paid for me and my friend to throw axes, but was lumped in with a group. This was my friends fist time and wanted him to get more action. The group setting was fun but wanted more individual access.

Lots of fun. The guys there are there to really teach you how to throw and have fun. I just wish I could have trained more in the one handed throwing. Great time was had by all!

This was my second time at Class Axe Throwing and it was even better the second time. Our instructor, Johnny, was a hoot and did a great job of modifying my throw so I was more consistently hitting the board. A great date night outing for our 9th anniversary! Thank you!

This was an awesome experience!!! We did both escape rooms and did the full axe throwing experience. The games were so much fun and we really got the hang of it as we practiced - we were given ample time to practice and get better! Plus, BYOB - can’t beat that!! I will definitely be back!

Ive done several escape rooms from different places and its not the worst. There are great employees and actors that make it great and set the mood. Very thorough in explanation and knowledgeable about the rooms itself. Both individuals in the room made it feel awesome.Unfortunately, the story and the puzzles just didnt make any sense at times. The puzzles were complicated and really cheap as also the make up. Overall, if youre trying something?

We had a great time celebrating our Taurus birthdays at Great Axe! It was actually more fun than we thought. Our Axe Master taught us how to safely throw the axe...we practiced and then he gave us several games to play. The 90-minutes went by fast. It’s a fun place to check out!

Ive done one other escape room and this one was head and shoulders above it. Having the zombie chained in the room with your team adds a new dimension to the experience and a big time sense of urgency. Its surprisingly hard to work a simple combination lock when youre actively avoiding being eaten. Well be back as soon as they change the clues. 6 stars!!!

It was a huge disappointment. The host gave us the answers before we had time to figure them out. No guidance at the beginning to get us started. Just in a room without a clue how to begin then answers thrown out in haphazard, hurried fashion. We were done in 30 minutes because the host told us everything. It was not fun and cost a fortune.The axe throwing next door sounded like a much better time.

It was an overall great experience. I sucked. Like legitimately sucked- couldnt get the axe to stick to the target. But the employee with purple hair (sorry cant remember your name) worked with me until I was able to get it down. She worked with me one on one as well as coaching me throughout. I would definitely go back if I can get her again! She was so patient.

This was a great experience! Our management team had a great time learning how to throw a real AXE! (luckily, not at each other) This was a unique and worthwhile team activity. Im assuming one gets better through repeated visits, so well be back.

Enjoyed the staff and the zombie room; however, there was an axe throwing event which made the room an acoustic nightmare. We could barely hear each other and this destroyed being able to get sucked into the experience.

Shout out to Dr. Amanda and Zombie Jordan for providing us with a really fun experience! Im moving so I wanted to get a group of my friends together for one last hurrah. I wasnt sure exactly how many folks to expect so I looked for an escape room that would offer space for 12. Ultimately we ended up being 10 and fitting pretty comfortably (as comfortable as one can be while avoiding a zombie). We all had a lot of fun, from picking out silly names to making a run for the door. The clues were good (although some were a little faulty), the concept was unique, and we had a ton of laughs (although that credit goes to my awesome friends for their ridiculous antics). The only suggestions Id give to the business owners are 1. Do something to dampen the sounds from the axe throwing on the other side of the wall and 2. Consider adding a second room. Thanks!

5 of 5 well deserved. Zak and Sarah were great. We escaped with 15 minutes to spare. One if not the best one to go to. It was fun trying to find clues while escaping from the zombie.

It may have been the people I was grouped with but it wasnt that great of an experience. It was chaotic and I was confused on what clues needed to be solved next. I really like the theme and decor of the escape room but Im not sure if I do it again.

Was really fun, instructor for the axe throwing was great. I just wasnt aware that they mixed group together depending on the size but I will honestly say I did not read ahead of time so they may have mentioned on their site would have to look again to confirm.

My friends and I had a wonderful time. Tonight we celebrated my birthday by visiting the escape room and we had an amazing time! Our zombie Kelvin was amazing and funny and Hunter made the experience unforgettable! The both of them together made my birthday and enjoyable celebration. This is my third time visiting an escape room but my first time utilizing Great Room Escape and Kelvin and Hunter made this experience the best! Bring your friends and be prepared to sing to the Zombie and you will have just had much of an amazing time as we did!! I can’t wait to try the escape the 80’s room! Kelvin and Hunter job well done!

We had a lot of fun. Gavin did a good job facilitating our axe throwing. We ended up in a group of 16 people, so we were a bit disappointed in the amount of time we actually got to throw and play games. But, we had fun.

I had been wanting to do an Escape room for the longest. I finally made up my mind and said we are doing it. I purchased the tickets for my sister, niece, daughter and I. Their was no turning back at that point. We decided to go with the 80’s party. It was a great experience and Eric made it worth it. He was very friendly! Definitely recommend the Escape Room for those that are thinking about it.The only downfall is they never answer their phones.
