Ride was fine overall that day. As there were heavy rains a few days earlier, the trail had a few downed trees and was not cleared which makes me give 4 stars . Did like riding in the mud with the mtn bike. Despite that, still recommend the trail for an easy day of biking when cleared.

My first time visiting although I have lived ten minutes away for the past right years. Went for a walk with family. It was very serene. I will return.

Parking is a little tight here when the weather is good but a good access to much of this section of the NRT.

Tree lined, paved with varied, but not extreme, terrain. Mostly running along the river with very few roads to cross. Great for biking, jogging or walking. People also fish and kayak.

It had just finished raining and the river was high, but that made my walk even better. If you like nature good trail to ride your bike,walk your dog,walk or run.

Long trails for walking, running or biking. Quick access to the water for fishing or kayaking. Most of the trails are shaded by trees. Avoid this park during or right after heavy rains as it is prone to substantial flooding.

Bikers Are not friendly

I often come here to access the Neuse River Trail. The parking lot is somewhat small but easily accessible. There is no park, only a parking lot with trail and river access. The problem here is there have been several break-ins at this lot. I was recently at Poole Rd. Park and a Wake Co. Sheriff Deputy happened to be in the parking lot and told me about the break-ins. It would be nice if Wake Co. would at least install a camera here to deter potential thieves. If you decide to park here, beware and take all valuables with you.

This is basically a small parking area for access to the Neuse River and the Neuse River Greenway. While Ive only given the park itself a 3 star, the greenway and the river deserve a 4/5 star. When paddling the Neuse, this is the takeout for a relatively short section of river when putting in at Millburnie Dam upstream. This section of river has some fun little Class I rapids at lower water levels. Using this access as a put-in to paddle downstream is nice too and is a much longer stretch of river until the next access point.

Just another beautiful trail to enjoy

This is just a parking lot with access to the greenway. You can walk all the way to Anderson point and further, to the right toward Knightdale.
