This is a great attempt at honoring Dr. King however its very simplistic. The fountain is a great part of the display however its so far away from the actual statue. There just could have been more. The facilities next to it I guess you can say is clean has bathroom a place to cover yourself from the rain or snow. Not sure if its for the purposes of protecting the monument but there was a park police officer there on site on each occasion that Ive visited twice in one week.Overall the fact that there is anything there at all is a reason to be thankful.

The monument was quite beautiful and along the walls the famous and inspiring words of MLK were carved into stone. Reading them really gave me a sense of who he was. The location and the actual monument itself are quite pretty. The statue is quite impressive too.

Its awesome to have such a nice park dedicated to Dr. King. He is a very prominent and determining factor in where America is today. He is sorely missed but will never be forgotten.

As a European American who rejects bigotry and mourns the victims of slavery in teh Americas, my visiting this memorial was especially meaningful. It is a pleasant place to be, as it denotes the peacefulness that MLK advanced. The park represents the commitment of the Raleigh community to inclusiveness and civil rights. It reminds one of the righteous stature of a man who stood up for the American creed (All persons are created equal), for the true meaning of religion (Love), for human brotherhood, and for (Yes), the Dream. It is simply a park, not a museum or historical site. Plan a family get-together, a picnic, or just walk around and enjoy the landscape. Read the inscriptions on the fountain. It is small in size as parks go, but what it represents is huge.

I enjoyed visiting the space.I look forward to returning when more flowers are in bloom. Also, the fountain, I think, and bricks containing donors names are inspiring. The statue looks good.

I felt like there should have been more there to honor Dr. King especially because he was from the south. Yeti matter where a memorial is placed for his, there should always be just enough to let you know he was loved and appreciated for all he gave his life for.

Pretty landscaping. A perfect place for quietly reading, meditation, prayer, or contemplation.Even though its a very small park, there are seating areas surrounding Dr. Kings statue, a lovely water feature with the names of civil rights activists, and a picnic shelter.Theres no play area or facilties for children at this park.
