Looks like a nice place but beware if you are a member of the American Horticultural Society your reciprocal pass may not be good. We were denied entry. First time thats happened with all the gardens we visited this year, including most recently Edison-Ford.
It was a beautiful day there. Got to meet an artist painting a figure on display. Feed the koi fish for a buck. Nice walk around park looking at all the different plants. Then to the pier it was beautiful on the water looking from the gazebo. So Peaceful. The butterfly display was worth walking thru.
So much beauty in one place! There is plenty to admire and learn here.
Venture out to this beautiful Jem of a property today with a wonderful friend. So peaceful and relaxing. Such a beautiful place.
Nice walk around to see plants and wonderful sculptures.
Maturing gardens with well cared for grounds. The sculptures were of great interest as were the waterfront feature and pond. The name was most appropriate for my peaceful garden walk.
Peaceful and beautiful flowers and foliage, really liked the indoor butterfly garden.
The Peace River Botanical and Sculpture Gardens is a relatively new addition to Punta Gorda. The plantings are sill young but well labeled and in a few years will be great. The butterfly display will be open in a few weeks. Here are a few pictures. The price is currently at $13.
Neat little place! Worth the trip and cost of admission. Wish there had been more shade though. It was very hot out and the lack of shade while walking through here for an hour made it very uncomfortable. There is not a lot to see here but what is here is very nice. Wish they had an actual cafe at the shop. That would had been really nice. Some small sandwiches and drinks inside while looking at the reflection pool and flowers on a beautiful day would be so nice here. I would recommend a hat or umbrella to keep the sun off of you as you walk through here. Took us about an hour to see it all. The art gallery that was mentioned on the map was closed?
Stunning, beautiful, and inspiring. Anyone visiting the area needs to stop by these gardens and check out everything they have to offer. Great way to enjoy the beautiful weather, take in some unique art, and see the local plant life.
5 stars.... not what they are but what they will become. What they are doing is not easy, but long after i pass it will be a beautiful place. Lovely sculptures and board walks are scattered throughout. Please go and support this wonderful endeavor.
Exceptional beauty in natural and sculptural arts. Lovely walking trails with very refreshing pier gazebo out on the river. Lots more to come with all the ongoing projects. Interesting story of the charitable donation that created it.
Be aware of admission cost. $13/person. Delightful and exceptional but not too child friendly. Great sculptures. Fun to feed the fish.
Very nice visual experience! Good time for a walk.
Have a great evening walking around and enjoying Xmas lights
The woman at the ticket booth noticed my mother struggling to walk and offered us a wheel chair. Thanks to her, we were able to complete the whole beautiful experience. Thank you.
I visited last March and really enjoyed the gardens. I would never do it in the summertime as the hours open are the hottest part of the day and Southwest Florida in the heat of a July day would NOT be an enjoyable trip. Alot of walking, beautiful plants and trees and really eye-catching, fun sculptures. I think I have talked myself into a other visit this March !
Beautiful gardens, its going to be interesting as you continue to expand!
Unique place to visit. I think I will volunteer, will you?
It seems my girlfriend Sherry loved it!
It was a nice walk and the Christmas lights were great.
Very cool. Looking forward to seeing this evolve and develop as they build it out. Its filled with interesting and eye pleasing art and botanical treasures.
Beautiful place. Good start on a garden
Peace River Botanical and Sculpture Gardens is a great place to visit especially if you like either beautiful gardens or sculptures. Both are here and the sculptures are rather whimsical. This place should be the #1 rated place to see in Punta Gorda, FL. Some other reviews mentioned a small park in town, but these gardens are for all your senses.
These botanical gardens are OPEN! There is more to come but what is here now is absolutely breathtaking! We had a memorable day having our lunch at the gazebo and walking through a wonderland of gardens, photography and sculpture. Bravo!
Its only half done... but.. it a nice place to walk..
This is a lovely place for an afternoon stroll to check out some local nature. The sculptures throughout are fantastic and really add an oh wow! at every turn. I cannot wait for the 3 future phases. We will be back for sure!
Its a beautiful place to visit! Lots of plants, trees, boardwalk through the mangroves. You can see everything in no more than a couple of hours.
What a beautiful local treasure! Looking forward to more delightful visits as the gardens continue in development .
Not much to see and high admission fee.
It isnt open to the public yet, October 5th will be the Grand Opening.
A wonderfully place to take a walk and see what Florida has to offer. Great for group outings.
Beautiful. Not completely finished yet, but the gardens and sculptures are worth seeing.
A nice get away.
This is a garden with potential. It is a Sculpture and botanical garden. The sculptures are nice. Like any garden of this scale (35 acres), it will take years for it to grow and reach its full potential. Located on the Peace River it is a great location to learn about Florida horticulture and mangrove habitats.
Beauy gardens some still under contraction but place is super awesome.
Loved it a must see. Amazing art and plants.keep expanding looks great
What a lovely place. Sculptures and gardens are beautiful. Tranquil place to just stroll or sit and enjoy nature. Our area is very fortunate to have such a beautiful place. Wonderful legacy for Roger and Linda Tetrault. It is amazing they had such a vision and were able to make it a reality.
One of Punta Gordas magnificentcent treasures. A great place to sit/walk and meditate.
Nice light show. Family friendly. Nice walk.
Its going to be beautiful someday. It has a long way to go before its quite worth the price of admission.
Went to a beautiful wedding at this park. It was great.
Absolute gem hidden in Punta Gorda along the river. Sculpture was unique and botanical gardens were a treat.
Very nice will be even better when they are further along with the future plans.
Open from 9 am til 2 pm Wed through Sun, weather permitting. Go early to avoid heat. Absolutely beautiful and peaceful this time of year!
This place has much more than the pictures I took it has to separate parks you only pay once and see both! You can stand on a pier over the peace river! It has great sculptures and flowers along with art! When you go inside the building there is snacks and drinks to keep you fueled! Over all great tourist place! Or just to relax!
Up and coming great place to take guests and observe some local sculpture and beautiful flora. It is a new spot with a bright future.
What a beautiful sight to see during the holidays.
Beautiful place and understand that they will be expanding. Tours. Lots of walking.
A gem in the making! An excellent collection of art and plantings. They have great plans for future development.
Peace River Botanical & Sculpture Gardens is a lovely place to see & learn about local trees & plants. The grounds are spectacular and right on the Peace River. The sculptures are by world class artists. A must see!
Beautiful place for a leisurely stroll.
Beautiful place and friendly staff
Works in progress, I am sure it will be fine in years to come but not worth $12.The disabled parking is a long walk from the exhibition with no help other than the offer of a wheelchair.
What a wonderful place to visit. The gardens are just in the first stage but beautiful. You can walk out on wood pier to look at the Peace River. Clean restrooms and a gift shop are available. I will visit this place many times.
Gorgeous sculptures and gardens. Don’t forget your camera. The scenery is incredible.
Visited for the first time recently and was taken aback by the endless beauty, near and far. Nestled along side the Peace River (hence the name) this is a serene and peaceful place to enjoy nature, art and the incredible start of something BIG in Punta Gorda. We finally have something very unique and special to call our own - the botanical gardens are young and vibrant and with each season will bring new growth and magic. The current sculptures are thought-provoking and inspiring and I cant wait to see what else will be added! I topped the afternoon here off with a wonderful dinner at River City Grill and sunset on Charlotte Harbor - doesnt get much better than this. Highly recommend.
We had an awesome tour with volunteer Sue who was very knowledgeable. The gardens and sculptures were beautiful, unusual, and interesting
Surprisingly Beautiful and Interesting, We are anxious to visit again to visualize growth in their amazingly unique plant life.,most of which I have never seen before!Big fan of Laurie Tennant s work
Great plants and sculptures. Nice gift shop and bathrooms.
Great atmosphere overlooking the bay. Fried clams were disappointing. Great sweet potato fries and coleslaw.
Peace-ful botanical garden and interesting sculpture, some so life like you might believe they are breathing. Completely accessible, boardwalks to a gazebo on the river and to view the home that is planned to display more art. Most plantings and all art items are labeled. Be prepared to walk. Welcome center surrounded by reflecting ponds sells beverages, restrooms located here.
Beautifully laid-out to walk around and enjoy. Wonderful variety of art sculptures to see. Labels on all the different plant life in the garden.
Great relaxing garden. Still a work in progress.
Beautiful outdoor venue for a wedding
I have a membership and enjoy going and seeing the changes that they keep making.Waiting to see the two new sculptures that are being unveiled tomorrow. I live in Palm coast . We bring a picnic lunch and enjoy eating out on Peace River.
Beautiful, peaceful. The sculptures are exquisite! The botanicals lovely
A lot of heart and soul went into making Peace River Botanical Sculpture Gardens into the lovely place it is today. As they expand and everything fills in and blooms moreso than today, it can only get better. Absolutely beautiful!
Nice place to walk!
Newly developed but beautifully decorated with statues and some exotic plants.
Shaping up beautifully. Relaxing walkways, beautiful art and plantings. Staff are so nice.
This place is wonderful. Anyone who enjoys plants and/or art will be fascinated. One of the ladies at the gate volunteered to give us a guided tour along with 6 other folks. Yes.... it is not done yet - but there is still much to see. We were there for over two hours learning about the plants and various pieces of sculpture. In addition, what a joy to be able to see the beginnings of a great vision. By the way, the fee is $10.00 for anyone over 65. For the pleasure it brought us on a lovely Saturday morning, it was well worth every dime. Much thanks to the Roger Terrault and the Terrault Family Foundation for bringing this treasure to our community.
Nice place and getting better with growth
The park is a work in progress with 11 of 27 acres completed. Worth a visit. Would like to see the finished product someday. Very peaceful.
What a gem for Punta Gorda! Beautiful growing grounds and artful sculptures, Go see it!
Lovely sculptures, beautiful grounds
This will be the star of charlotte county in a few years, heck it already is.Real Art, world class sculpture. My first time there though I have read & followed its birthing pains.Real money wedded to vision. An unusual thing around here. The only thing that can compete with the gardens is the harbor itself.
Beautiful place. A real gem in Punta gorda!
Liked it very much, although they have just started....the sculptures are great but much/most of the landscaping has to mature and be developed.
Garden and river access great. Still being built out, and can see the tremendous potential!
Beautiful but the house hours of operation are almost non existant
Didnt know it was so new. Want to go back when more mature. Statues are great!
This is a delightful place to spend an hour strolling through the grounds, admiring the plants and scultpures and gazing out at the Peace River. It is a work in progress and I cant wait to return to see the fully realized project in a year or two!
Great start. Cant wait to see the bogenvelia trees when theyre covered.
So beautiful and cant wait to come back and see more growth and even more beautiful sculptures
Amazing. I see the $12 admission as a donation rather than admission, considering the work and vision I’ll gladly pay $12 to visit just to watch the growth and development.
Fantastic time. Beautiful sculptures and flora. A must if you are in the Punta Gorda area.
Beautiful and educational. Its a very good spot for kids.
Why are they charging full price admission when only half of the gardens is complete? Dont waste your money
Beautiful and peaceful! Great place for a walk with your family.
Very peaceful and the sculptures are fabulous!
Great walk through the areas that are open. Looking forward to it completion
Beautiful place for a walk.
Wonderful gardens, art and guided tour.
Nice place, but way to much money $12.00 Not much to see or do.
