Very cool to see. Not much to say it does its job at being a Paul Bunyan Statue very well.
The Paul Bunyan statue is a quirky landmark of N Interstate Ave & the Kenton neighborhood that has been in existence since before my early childhood; my siblings and I thought it was sooo cool. His outfit has changed (for the better) and this 57-year-old, 37 tall dude is always camera-ready for any foto-fun you could want... I invite you to give him a visit, and learn his story...
Its an awesome statue, fun to take pictures with, and very colorful for sure. However, I do wish there was parking closer to him, just for ease. But thats probably just my own complaint.
Iconic north portland i remember being a little kid going to first interstate bank now wells fargo with my parents and always going around front and checking out Paul
I thought there would be more to this statue. Its not in a park or nice place to take pictures as its on a busy street corner across from the transit station and a strip joint. A plaque commemorating the boy scouts but no background story to explain who Paul Bunyan was, not to mention no Ox named Blue. Not too well thought out Imho...
The wreath on Paul has been amazing this past year, it is now down and will resume its position this year @ Holidays festivities
Interesting landmark right near the trimet light rail system. I enjoyed the neighborhood in the surrounding area. It Seem to be a cool well-kept area.
Kenton landmark, the great Paul bunyon statue! A dude in Texas tried to buy it a while back. NO DEAL. Stop in at Kenton station for a beer and a burger while you are here.
Pretty cool to stop by and see! has a nice little gift shop with souvenirs
Cute, touristy, giant statue.
Just more quirkiness. Keep it up Portland.
Pretty solid statue that looks as if it recently had a paint job
Covid ready now
This is an amazing picture point
Paul Bunyan slept here.
Cheesy I suspect even in the 1950s wence it came. Barely art
Its paul buyan but no ox named blue is around
Pretty rad Paul bunyon
A great icon.
Was so cool to see. My family loved it.
Without Paul this kenton neighborhood wouldnt be the same.
Walk by on my trip through the neighborhood.
Would you look at that. I mean, would ya just. Look. At. That.
Kenton neighborhood landmark, take a pic with Paul!
A must see in historic Kenton
What an interesting statue. Not as big as I expected but certainly not small. Parking wasn’t easy.
Yeeyee its Paul Bunyan in Portland - what more do you need?
This is a fun statue with lots of history and I always appreciate that Paul is watches over the stripclub across the street with a twinkle in his eye.
As classic a NW Folk tale from a NYC ad agency as can be!
I like it cause theres a strip bar across the street!!
Paul is the man...and the area has had a major upgrade
Must see landmark in north Portland
Huge statue definitely worth a look
