Amazing place to hike and see birds, insects and plants! So much better than a golf course. Monarchs were everywhere along with all sorts of plants and insects. Nice trails to hike on and a watch tower that looks over Lake Michigan.

A shining example of golf course conversion to natural habitat preserve. The new generations see this and hope for more of such locations; its how we can bring some nature back. What once was a golf course is now a beautiful and lush landscape with birds and other animals who should have always been there in the first.

If you are looking for a quiet place where you can stroll through nature, this is it. The preserve is huge. Ive been there several times this winter, and I havent encountered anyone else on my walks. In the summer, it will be a little busier, but still very peaceful, as there is plenty of room for everyone to spread out. There is beach access. Just follow the posted signs. You will have to pass a private residential area to reach the beach, so be respectful. But its worth the walk to see Lake Michigan.

Great piece of property. Loved golfing there years ago, but what an awesome use of that property.

Great out of the way place for birding and just being outside. Well maintained trails and lots of space to wonder.
