Nice view, salty fresh air!

Nicest public pool Ive ever seen. Great to come with your kids. They have water slides as well as lanes for swimming laps. Only open to residents of Nassau County though

Calm beach, great photogeaphic views, with benches, enclosed childrens playground next to the wild skateboarding hills, basketball and handbLl courts, swimming pool and tennis courts.

The beach is small and great for kids to run around. You see plenty birds and there are 2 little play grounds right on the beach.

Nice place to hang out! Pool area is strictly for residents only (to possibly limit the crowd) and you have to bring an ID with you before you can get in.

Overall great, but there are lots of secret, unposted rules. You have no idea about them until you get in trouble. Would be nice to post more clear signs - or even cut some of the rules. Other than that, its awesome. Great staff. Amazing facility.

Excellent place to go fishing, there are Sea Robins, Striped Bass, Bluefish and also lots of minnows!

My daughter loves the skate park here and I love the walking trails

Went for the harvest moon. Less light pollution than in Queens by me. Just a relaxing time sitting by the dock. Very peaceful. Great views

Visited long ago, but was always a great park and pool.Worth the visit!

Good for kids.

Beach and pool looked very nice, but boat ramp is not useable at low tide. Went out at high tide and couldnt get boat back to dock at end of day when tide was low. Fine for launching a kayak but not a boat.

Nice huge pool. Lifeguards are very watchful. Prices are high for the pool. This park in general has improved a great deal in the past few years but could still improve more to make this a great park. The Canada geese poop is out of control. It makes walking on the sidewalk or any part of the grass or beach a real challenge. Paid parking (also expensive), tennis courts, 2 playgrounds, basketball courts, handball courts, paddle ball courts, kayak launching docks and a skateboard/bike park.

Great place to visit. You can rent paddle boards or kayaks from Kostal Paddle down by the boat ramp. You can go swimming at the pool or just sit and watch nature.

Nice park. Very clean. Police presence for safety was nice. Resident only BBQ permit only.

Well kept, clean, lots of open space and water activity available.

A beautiful beach, neglected, unfriendly for pets, dogs are not allowed, the bottom of the the water was full of stones and feet injuring objects, lots of boats navigating around, make it difficult to swim freely in the water. Brown algae and debris on the shoreline require one to wear water shoes. The sunset view from the beach is incredibly beautiful. If you dont have a pet and dont want to swim, then I recommend this beach for relaxation.

Great park! So clean and well maintained. The pool is more for families with children than a pool to do laps in. Skate park, hand ball, basketball, tennis, baseball, beach, so many things to do. Very busy on weekends and summer.

Skate spot is definitely off the hook. Was there today and I had a blast. Perfect setting, perfect water view, perfect surroundin, perfect family people and friendly skaters. Thats! What skating is about!

They converted a good useful pool into a large kiddie pool with the associated issues of toddlers in ankle deep water. It is way over priced too. The management of the pool is awful too. I will never go back.....

We love going to this pool. Its very clean. The people complain obviously forgot what a town pool is for... Its for families to come and cool off. Yes the chair situation is a problem but mostly because of rude locals that hog so many chairs that they dont even sit it. My only concern is that this years crop of life guards dont seem to be that attentive. They spend more time looking at their fingernails than watching to kids in the pool.

Let start with the fact that my family has been a member for five years, and I will be lookimg for another pool next year. Great setting being close to the long island sound, however the pool design is not great, 1 body of water which means once a kid poops (at least once a day sometimes 2 or 3 times) the entire pool shuts down for 1 to 1 1/2 hours so they can shock the pool. At 6pm everyday, a extremely load siren rings, fire department testing? Then there are the one offs, announces. For example, today, they decided to shut down the slides section of the pool because it was not being used enough, really? Session fees approx $400.

The weekends are a real example of Greed. The town knows or should know the number of chairs they have and stop taking peoples money or at least tell people coming in to expect not to be able to sit. The lounge chairs are so close it cant be healthy. I forgot how bad it was last year when I only went when grandkids wanted to go and I joined again but if I could I would take my money back. We from village have time limits parking on Manorhaven Blvd (some of us bought parking stickers for lot ) and I am handicapped but to accommodate the pool and Ms Bosworth the law is not enforced.

Great pool for Town of North Hempstead Residences! The park is beautiful and sits right on Manhasset Bay. The Oasis Day Camp is a fun place for kids during summer months!

Nice park - beautiful view of the sound. Available public bathrooms, playground, a pool may be available for residents (I wasnt there in the summer).

Came here for a picnic at my gf work event. I liked the place. The pool was huge. Plenty to do in this park.

Great big park with plenty to do. Basketball courts, ball field/soccer field, tennis courts, a recently expanded skate park, a few free outdoor concerts every summer & a decent playground for younger kids with water sprinklers in the summer months. The pool is big, not overcrowded, has 2 FUN water slides, snack bar & a nice view of the beach. It could be awesome but as a few other reviewers mentioned the child poop & vomit incidents in the main pool is a big inconvenience & oddly frequent . Theres a totally seperate baby /toddler pool yet somehow that area is fine. No vomit, poop or floating diapers in there- the older kid & adult section is home to these incidents & evacuations. ?? Oh & lastly the beach is scenic but in my opinion not good for swimming or a beach day outing. Murky water & the ground is covered with rocks & shells making it tough to even wet your feet. Still the pros outweigh the cons by far here & theres something to do for just about everyone !

I went 10 times last year to decide if I should join this year for 2013, and each time I went they allowed 5 year olds and under in the adult pool and each of those times I went we all had to get out at some point cause some child pooped in the adult pool or a childs diaper came off!!! Not fair to paying adults who can only go after work for 2 hours, get there, pay, and told not to go in pool directly, to wait an hour cause pool is contaminated again. I only had 1/2 hour to swim that day and other days I had to get out of pool only moments when I arrived! One day they made us get out twice in almost 2 hours! Just not fair for the rest of us! Kids 5 years and under need be in the smaller pools only! Its much safer for them and quarantines dangerous bacteria from getting into the larger pools where filters are separate to baby pools. Most pools do not take these chances these days and allow possible mishaps with unsanitary conditions. They dont allow young, poop prone kids in adult section of pools at all! Just such an unsafe practice!

Its good the only problem is they let little kids go in the pool and recently the been using it like a toilet. Soo I cant go in the pool
