Fantastic Views! Very beautiful area. The elevation above the surrounding areas is quite significant! The road is paved all the way up and there is even a paved hiking trail. The public restrooms are decent. In the summer I saw chipmunks, a vole, and lots of different types of birds. A great place to spend your time with family and friends or even by yourself.
Me & my Girlfriend drove here for a weekend getaway and it was really fun and we got some great photos from the top view was awesome highly recommended for anyone who wants to see Nature
Understand that masks are policy not law when somebody purchases a coffee and Pulls The Mask down away from their face temporarily to sip a fresh cup of coffee and is yelled at by a morbidly obese woman in the deli which was very rude just told you put the mask back over the nose understanding their was nothing else to do but walk around stalking a customer she should be fired. Perfect place to hide for this woman... very rude woman mad at the world. 4.00$ for a sm drip coffee that the cream has to be poureed by a woman who looks like shes never washed her hands then yells at you after she walks around stalking you because shes bored. Hey I know. Do a jumping jack or sit up or hey. Quit eating 7 full meals a day.
Great place to learn to ski /snowboard but do to very strict ONPark rules no expansion into a fully lagit ski resort will ever be possible. And perhaps, maybe good that it doesnt. Its a beautiful area with limited parking so get there early, they do shut down the road to the park when the lot is full.
Olympic National Park is not to be missed. Hurricane Ridge is a lovely drive up & up to the elevation that gives the most spectacular views of the snow capped peaks. Plenty of parking and walking trails. Just magnificent vistas all around. The information Center has a small snack bar and shop - plus interesting information on the mountain range. You will not be disappointed.
Literally no free wifi, no hot dog vendors, and not a single hurricane in sight anywhere. View was nice.
Not the clearest day, but its still a beautiful place.
You cannot miss this stop. Bring your camera, hiking boots, and a bottle of water. The views are amazingly breathtaking. Wildlife is an arms length away.
Beautiful area but super crowded. I recommend getting there early and be ready to not find a parking spot. My husband dropped me off to go park down the road and I battled my way through the crowds in the gift shop. Dont bring your dogs as you cant go on any trails with them. I learned that the hard way. Be patient and youll have a nice experience.
Fantastic access to National Park only 30 minutes drive (and 1 mile above) Port Angeles. Best to head up early and avoid any days as it can get crowded.
Rustic ski and snowboard slopes. Homegrown snowboard and ski instructors. Great views.
Awesome vistas. Trail to the top is worth the effort
Second time visiting. Love it here
Hurricane ridge had wonderful views and hiking trails.
Fresh powder and beautiful glades in abundance
One of my favorite viewing places.
A beautiful place to spend time and relax. It has a great view point which provides a 360 view which is great.
Check the webcam before you go. It was cloudy and raining at the entrance but sunny with full visibility at the top. The entrance to the park gets very long after 12pm.
Not worth the drive if you’re snowboarding. Snowshoeing is great but you can do that anywhere. Tow ropes suck. Bring chains!
Amazing views and hiking
A beautiful place to get a great view of Mt Olympus. They also have a ski school and some great ski bowls.
Great views of the Olympic range and Mt Olympus, the water and Canada that is very accessible. Warning that there hurricane ridge trail is closed until the end of August 2019 for goat rehabilitation but there are great views and easy hikes from the visitor center.
Views so gorgeous!
Nice easy beginner hills. Nice start for my two young ones.
Awesome scenery place. It was snowing on the day we went so was unable to capture much photos
We had a great time and its very accessible and inexpensive comparatively to ski or snoboard. Although the lady at the ski pass trailer was rude when I went to join my significant other and her kids to wrap up the day tubing... They had passes and I went to get one to join them till it closed. She told me I was 10 mins late to buy a pass even though it closed in 45 mins. She told me I couldnt join them the last 45 minutes in a very rude manner. I understand they stop selling at 3 and shut down at 4 but if you cant let me be with them then please be polite about it.
Absolutely Amazing views on a clear day. Winter showshoeing was a blast!
Lovely drive with lovely views. Not bad prices for the lifts
Its very lovely the views are great!
Wish there was more snow and more lift options but it was cool to ski in a national park
Was here in summer of 2017 also and just had to come back. Gorgeous views. Love this place!
Fun beginners area that doesnt break the bank!
Great scenics
Its a nice little park if youre in the Port Angeles area, and quite accessible. But if youre not comfortable with rope tows, the downhills wont be worth your time.
Breathtaking views in every direction
Unique ski experience in a spectacular setting. Top of the world experience.
Loved it up there! Very clean, blacktop trails and some tougher trails if you prefer.
Super cool just be prepared for some exercise
Beautiful area.
I went here in summer, so I didnt get a chance to ski. But the views are absolutely breathtaking. If you come here in summer time, there is a trail to go up the hill that connects to other hills. It is a very rewarding hike. There are also lots of deer here.
Small & Beautiful
Such a beautiful peaceful place.
Dont bring sleds you have to rent them.
Beautiful mountain
Beautiful
Beautiful views and nice visitor center. Saw a bear on the way up
Incredible views
No matter the season when you reach the top of winding mountain road youll be greeted by breath taking views... In the summer months grazing elk and deer can often be found in meadows....a hikers, photographer, nature lover paradise.... In the winter months two rope tows and a Palma give you a unique opportunity to ski or snowboard in a national park!!! There SKI equipment rental on site... But if youre a Boarder youll find your rental in town... A national parks pass...Olympic parks pass or cash/card payment require to enter the park but worth every cent... Winter travel be aware Chains required....
One of the most beautiful views youre likely to ever see.
Beautiful place, everyone needs to visit at least once in their lifetime!
Absolutely beautiful!!!! Could sit and look at the mtns all day.
Very nice. Its worth the drive. Amazing views. Really nice gift shop. Some easy and some hard trails.
Beautiful as always
Great view!!!
Take the tour. Climb the summit. Pack a lunch. Stay the day
They dont call it hurricane ridge for no reason!!
Stunning vistas of the Olympics and Juan deFuca straights.
This place is so cool
Gorgeous! So many options of what to do there: lots of trails of varying difficulty, picnic tables, gift shop and lodge with great views from everywhere.
Havent skied there since 1984 but just returned to see Hirricane Ridge 35 years later. Small ski hill but spectacular views.
It all depends on the day you go. Sometimes it blowing 30 knots and others its nice. The instructors are great teachers for a good price. Just make sure to bring gloves with grip to make it up the tow ropes!
Wild flowers in bloom all the way up the road and along the trails. This is the week to go.
Had a good short trial with good view
Just a gorgeous view after a real pleasant drive. Tons of hiking, or just sit and enjoy the 360° views.
Its gorgeous with lots of trails
National Park at its best. Stupendous views but crowded in September.
I went to hurricane ridge on a bad weather, but it surprisingly changed after i get to the top.
Nice place for hiking.
Beautiful scenery. Must see when visiting the Olympic National Park.
Amazing views, great talk given by ranger Taylor Hartman and her senior staff ranger.
Beautiful views.
Went on a dope hike here??
Beautiful
I wish it were snowing...
Nice enjoyable time at the ridge.
Beautiful in the summer too!
Beautiful. Worth a hike
Love the entire travel up and back and the scenery!!!
Amazing viewpointThe hurricane ridge road is beautiful
If you get clear skies the views are to kill for!
Rope tows and poma. Great locals scene- get in line early at the gate.
The Ski and Snowboarding is very limited due to National park regulations #freehurricaneridge
Best hurricane
Great hiking with majestic vistas
Hidden gem.
