Wide open dog park. Theres a paved path around the whole inside of the park so you can walk around AND not have to tromp through the grass, which has a ton of dog poop hidden everywhere because people dont pick up after their dogs.Benches with shade all around though so plenty of places to rest with your dogs to beat the glare of the sun.The small dog park has a ton more coverage by the trees. Half of that area is in the shade. Small dog owners seem to pick up after their dogs much better too. I have one of each so I experience both sides.

Jacks dog park is a wonderful place to take my dog and let out energy. The only thing I complain about is some people bring there dogs knowing they will sometimes start fights with every dog the passes or sniffs. Some of the owners dog say anything when something bad happens and they just let it slide. Which is not okay. Other then that jacks dog park is good and a lot of the dogs are very friendly.

A great local dog park for the central Plano area. There are two enclosures, one for dogs 30 lbs and under, another for dogs over 30 lbs. Each enclosure has the perimeter paved with concrete so that the humans can walk like theyre on a track. Each enclosure also has a water fountain for dogs and humans to drink from, as well as several benches with shaded tops. Bag dispensers are also available- Ive never seen them not well stocked. The only thing that could make it better would be if the big dog enclosure had some trees like the small dog area has.

Ive brought more than one dog here over the years, and different sizes. Its nice that there are 2 parks adjacent to each other, one for small dogs and one for large. There are water fountains for both humans and dogs as well. Surrounding these parks are biking/walking trails with Spring Creek very nearby with trees along the creek. There is ample parking. All in all this is the nicest dog park Ive seen over the years. The city did a marvelous job in planning it.

Great place to take your dog and unwind. Ive been coming here for about 4 years and it never gets old. We first started taking Emmie when she was about 4 months old and she loves it here. Driving from home, she always seems to sense (smell?) when we are close and gets visibly excited. So glad Plano has a dog park and excited for the two new ones that are opening up!

This was our first time here and at first everything seemed great, love the area and that there is a nice place to walk. We went into the small dog park with our 7 month old corgi Milo and he was having loads of fun running and playing. When we went to go pick him up a dog came up and bite side and front leg, pinning him to floor. Milo is okay, mainly just scared, he is not an aggressive dog at all, very friendly and loves EVERYONE. The owner of the dog that bite Milo then proceeded to smack his dog extremely hard. It was incredibly disappointing because the dog bit Milo probably because he is smacked around at home like this. Overall, the park is beautiful but beware of the dogs and owners.

PLEASE READ!!!When considering location and layout of Jack Carter dog park, it’s great. There is plenty of space for the dogs to run and a cemented area around the perimeter for owners to walk. However, my dog has been BIT TWICE (once on his nose and the other on his eye) at this dog park. On two separate occasions. I have a 1 year old 55lbs golden retriever who has been to several other dog parks with no issues what so ever. Both times the owners of the dogs have seen very passive about the situation. I would be more understanding of the altercations if my dog was egging the other dog on. Never the case in either situations. My advice is to be very carful. Maybe a coincidence that he’s been bit twice here but something to definitely consider when visiting.

This dog park is nothing but a big open field surrounded by a tall fence. It does have a smaller section for little dogs, and many dogs can be found in both sections. It does have a nice double entry/exit gate so that the dogs cant escape, but beyond that theres not much here. No trees, no pond, no obstacle course, no agility track. Theres only a big field for you to play fetch with your dog or for the dogs to chase each other. And without shade from trees, it gets very hot out there during the summer.

Great facility with lots of space and separate areas for small and larger dogs. Our dogs loved the park and socializing with other dogs. There are covered benches and tables and a paved path on the parameter. Only issue we had is the watering fountain has a sunken area around it where water puddles and creates quite a mess. Our large dog kept drinking from the puddle which is a sanitary issue and can lead to worms. Friendly owners but parking was not enough for everyone there, park in nextdoor Carter Swimming Pool lot closest to the trail going to the dog park (5 min walk). Love the gating system to isolate or keep dogs from getting out!

Clean and a good place. For the most part, the owners here are pretty responsible with their dogs. It has an older crowd, so it can get pretty busy in the mornings. Theres a sidewalk inside the dog park that outlines the grassy area. Its popular for walking and working out while dogs play.

It’s a nice big park that has plenty of space for dogs to run and play (about a football field worth of space). They have a second space for small dogs as well that’s probably a good 30’x90’ or so. It’s all open without trees but they have covered seating and water fountains for the dogs.

Best Dog Park Around. We have been to many parks across the southeast, and this one not only makes sure the pups are well accommodated, it ensures the people are too! Most benches are shaded, and there are many. There is also a newly installed wide sidewalk around the entire perimeter of park. Many people and dogs are seen being active and enjoying a decent walk while inside the park. I also found it convenient that there is a gate to go in between small and big dog area. This park is designed and cared for by experts that want everyone happy!

I typically like this dog park until tonight- we first got there and didn’t get the chance to go in before a dog got hit by a car, i called the cops and the dog seemed to be okay. Still not acceptable, people drive WAY to fast around the corners by the dog park. Then we went into the dog park and this small brown boxer pit mutt kept attacking my dog- I had to pick her up once and the dog still wouldn’t stop, then the dog again pinned my dog to the ground by her throat. No one pays attention to their dogs here and it is dangerous-

A few dogs here get aggressive and start fighting with even smaller dogs, and these big dogs’ owners do nothing just watch it,and they said “they will figure it out by themselves “,I was standing there watched their dogs finally fighting and bite each other, I guess that’s the way how they let their dogs figure it out .It’s a public dog park,if your dog keeps harassing other dogs and get aggressive,do something! Not every dog owner like their dogs get in big fight to “figure it out”!

I have a beautiful Australian Shepherd that loves to run and play fetch. We like coming here because the park is very clean and quite spacious. She’s probably the fastest dog around when we go, so it’s great to let her use her energy and see her smile afterward. And during the warmer months, there are water fountains designed for dogs to drink out of! Then after we play, I like to walk her down the trails as a cool down routine.

We love taking our goldendoodle here! Such a lovely and clean dog park and one of the largest I have come across in the area. Generally, all of the dogs that go here are friendly and we have never had any negative incidents with any of the park goers. Each time we come here, my dog has the time of her life. I also really enjoy that there is a walking track around the grass area for people to walk. When I bring my infant son with, I am able to walk with him in his stroller while keeping an eye on my dog from a distance. One con I will say is that sometimes it is randomly closed without explanation. We arrived on a Saturday one weekend and to our surprise we saw all of these dog owners wandering around. Turns out the dog park was closed. Very sad seeing all of the doggies returning to their cars and going home. Other than that- very nice dog park!

I am Glad that there is at least a good dog park in the city of Plano. I would complain that the area surrounding the dog park is not that big, and I wish that the area of the dog park was generally bigger. its more like a playground to take your dogs to, and not really a dog park. I like how they have separate areas for dogs under 30 pounds and dogs 30 pounds and over. In General, I would recommend you take your dog to this dog park to socialize with other dogs and have a lot of experience with people too. This place is a must if you have a dog.

Most of the humans are good about cleaning up. Since the repairs on the water system, the watering area is clean and dry. I enjoy walking the path that goes around the whole big dog side. I would suggest pocketing a poop bag when you walk in as they are only on one side and its a big park. My Sadie enjoys the park although it takes us a while on the long walk from parking to gate because I think she sniffs every blade of grass, every pole and every inch of the side rails on the bridge. There are plenty of seating areas for those who choose to sit and watch the antics of all the dogs. Please dont be the person who sits and only looks at your phone. Be engaged you might just get to experience a few laughs.

Two men got them off mine. We left. As I was walking out, I told her to read the rules of the park...no agressive dogs allowed. She said they are not always agressive. and Laughed. I warned the parents of three other dogs going into the park. In hind-sight, she should have left because all the other dogs were gettng along fine before she got there.
