Always a wonderful and peaceful park to be at. Family oriented, with a duck pond and bridge, gazebo, lots of park lawn space for play and season events take place here as well. The park is also very well maintained, and dog friendly if on leash and feces is disposed of properly.
This is a beautiful park close to theatre, arts, and restaurants in downtown Plano. Easy to get to with ample free parking, or theres also a DART rail stop right there. Kids playground as well as nice grassy areas, a gazebo, and trees, and a pond with fountain and bridge.
Today was a great day. I just happened upon this park and they were hosting an outreach service at one end while small children played on the playground nearby. The extremes of innocence (sp).
Very clean. Social distancing seen. Masks on even. Public bathrooms and clean also!! Has free WiFi which is unusual for parks!!Not to mention police station about 3 blocks away and always patrolling by. Love Plano!
Went at night hoping to see the Christmas lights on, but everything was turned off
Enjoy coming out here every year to put on the Christmas lights brings out the cheer and joy and everybody
Very nice park. Love the downtown setting along with the free train station museum
I love this place because its beautiful and accessible to plenty of great Places to eat and shop the hwy is also very close ... Overall great place to just sit and read or take in mother nature.....
Fun park downtown with lots to do. Our daughter likes watching the DART trains go buy.
Feels like entering in a whole different side of Dallas. Very cute place!
As much as I love downtown Plano, this park is sketchy lol. Its a spot for the homeless to chill out which is fine and all, but if Im taking my kids to a park to hang this isnt one of them. However would I go to hand out items to keep the homeless cool on a hot day? Yes.
The homeless people are very respectful and the park itself is definitely a downtown type of mid sized city park. The fountain is fun the gazebo is breathtaking. Go see the farmers market before or after!
Lovely place for couples and family. Restaurants near by are pretty good and train station is just few steps away.
Decent store and staff. Customer base... Hoodish IJS
Well its a small park.. Not much to write about.. But ya its in downtown .. So even this much greenery is good I guess :)
Nice and enjoyable. Small park thats wheelchair accessible. Filled with mature trees and wonderful flowering plants. Has a great playground for the kids. Bring the family for a picnic and enjoy the turtles and ducks by the ponds. Its also filled with pokestops and gyms, so its great for playing PokemonGo.
Nice family oriented park. Lots of trees and a restroom.
Location is very convenient to the local DART train station as well to the nearby restaurants and bars (Filmore, Urban Crust, etc). Park has playground equipment as well as an older locomotive for display (train museum). During my visit, quite a few homeless people were spread out about the area, taking up about half of the picnic tables; no DART Police or Plano Police. Its a nice park, but not sure how I would feel about bringing kids by.
So many bugs we immediately left. We tried sitting in different areas but it was horrible. Ive been to several parks to be outside and not had this issue. Even sitting in my backyard, no problems. Lots of trash everywhere even though there are trash cans. So sad.
Plano downtown is great. This park
Clean and beautiful park. Lots of dog walkers!
Over the last several years, Haggard Park has quickly become a testament to unresponsible growth in the city of Plano as rising cost of living has forced more and more vulnerable Plano residents to seek shelter in the park. We should be constantly harassing Plano mayor Harry LaRosiliere and city leadership until they come up with a plan to responsibly handle this situation without involving law enforcement.
This park is not large but awesome to have in the middle of a downtown. Large shady trees, plenty of benches, tables snd places to spread out. Enjoyed a Ye Olde Butcher Shop Butcher Burger with Cheddar and Sweet Potato Fries in the park during the COVID shutdown on a perfect day after it rained last night. A late July day could not get any better than this. Park was as empty as could be for lunchtime on a Friday.
Great place for a quick stroll, after an evening dinner walk up to the park before dawn. Lately alot of homeless people camp out at night here, they dont bother anyone but if you have left overs they sure will appreciate it...good ol down town plano.
Peaceful, even though the homeless be in the park which they were very nice seriously.
I enjoy going to this park its very spacious there is plenty of room for people to go for a nice walk, and it has a section for younger kids and a section for older kids. There is free WiFi as well as free parking. The dart train station is right there. The old downtown Plano is just past the tracks.
Me and my friend wher runing form a homeless man who tryed to grab us and we fell in to the lake thing or the water
Love it miss my city spot
I love this little park!!! Quite seren, and peaceful.
I love this place very nice
Amazing park! This picturesque spot has everything a recreational park should have. Its got its photo opportunities, as well as historic relics, an electric train from the postal service. Its got a romantic charm, with its beautiful gazebo. Peppered with plenty of seating and playground fun. Haggard Park also has complimentary WiFi presented by Nissan. So do something different and work outside today, or add some photos to your albums, visit Haggard Park in Downtown Plano.
Planos Haggard Park hugs downtown, providing older small-town ambience in miniature. The local Depot turned Railway Museum & stage gazebo for community concerts are landmarks. Picnics & dog-walking would suit...we resolved to come back soon...
Kid friendly environment
Simple but beautiful paradise.
A homeless man cursed at my son. Decent park, but I wont be back.
A family-friendly park set right next to a thriving downtown area.Haggard Park is well-kept and gorgeous. It seems like there is a new event taking place in the park every weekend, between people hosting weddings, concerts, festivals, you name it!
Its a wonderful Park. Its the place my wife and I got married 28 years. I still have fond memories.
Excellent area for families to play and spend time together or take your significant other to. They have gazebos for pictures if your into it and a playground for the kids. Just be careful if your playing ball as there is a pond that the park centers itself with. Also there is a sign for free WiFi.
This is a fairly nice park it downtown Plano. The water around the fountain was a little aromatic and there were some issues with litter. Nice area to walk . Plenty of shade which is perfect for spending time outside on a sunny day. The park is right next to a DART station and the urban rail museum which is a fun historical stop.
Nasty because all the homeless people.I feel for those using the rail system.
Great for early morning walk
Very beautiful park and we love coming here for concerts when the weather is nice. Theres a parking lot right next to it as well as a dart station so its fairly easy to get to the park. Theres a lot of eateries near by if you wanted to picnic in the park!
This is a really nice city park. The two playgrounds provide lots of variety for play. This evening we could hear the music from McCall plaza, which is across the street and rail tracks. Walk to see the1930s electric Interurban railcar that ran from Sherman to Dallas for decades. Walk the Gazebo and stroll around the pond. Restrooms are provided, and there is no charge. Park in the spacious lot or walk across from the DART rail station.
Quiet park with plenty of parking where the kids were able to run out some of their energy.
What was my family and thoroughly enjoyed it
Carolyns review---------------I love going to this park. Its always clean. Ive never had a negative experience nor been witness to anything other than a calm atmosphere and surroundings.
My heart was upset to see so many people homeless
Located at the downtown of Plano Tx this park has such a lovely serenity that you just want to stay there for hours. I have taken my wife here several time and loved it every time we were there.
Quiet with good people
Itd a nice scenery :)
Quiet respite for a mini-getaway.
Fantastic atmosphere. We went there during celebration of start of the holiday season. highly recommended.
The Google photo does not adequately ID the Park location; not sure if it is in Plano or Richardson ?
We love the events hosted here by the city of Plano. Make sure to look at the city’s calendar to discover everything going on!
A nice place for kiddos to play
Nice park and very quiet!
Peaceful, beautiful park!
Nice and quaint park right next to the main old downtown area and McCall plaza. Very nice. Has water features.
Always love to come here and stroll as well as swing every now and then. Truly peacful and a very beautiful place to spend some relaxing time. Very fond of this picturesque park.
I dont remember going to this park at a specific time but i remember running past with everlasting speed and endurance. ON GOD
Its a very nice park.
Very nice and beautiful peaceful park.
Very nice park. Lots of poke stops for you pokemon go players!! Family area and you can bring dogs as well. Would recomend if your family wants to go out for a walk. Also has a kids park.
Nice clean well maintained
Really nice
Great place for events! Parking can be tricky but DART is only a block or two away. Saigling house is lovely, the park restrooms are sufficient, and the green space downtown is amazing.
Beautiful park great for walking
Beautiful park next to the Downtown Plano Station (red line). They even offer free WiFi- Oh Ranger! was the name... Easy to log into, accompanied by a Ranger commercial that you dont really have to watch.
Beautiful and peaceful park, right next to public transit for even easier access. Home of a small rail museum and a large beautiful water feature pond. A playground, plenty of spaces to sit, a track for joggers, a large gazebo, plenty of parking space, restrooms, fountains, dog owner convenience stands with bags, picnic tables and fast food and restaurants nearby, perfect for a picnic. The park is lit up at night with decorative lights in the trees.Sometimes you can swing by around 6 pm and watch a performer play piano. McCall plaza is near by and the park is filled with faint music. Easily one of my favorite places in plano to hang out all day
Had a lunch visiting with a friend.Beautiful park!!
Clean restrooms. Great activities. Across the street from farmers market near the downtown plano shops and police station and Art galleries.
Great thinking spot
Nice park to visit with our grandsons. Lots of room to run around. Glad to have a seat in the shade
Nice place in downtown plano. Close to awesome bars, restaurants and more.
Nice, scenic park. Very tranquil.
Lots of places to play. Large playground and gazebo. A lot of fun
Beautiful park but one of the city works was driving his little car way too close to us.
Very nice park for kids or adults to lounge around or take a stroll around the pond . Lots of shade trees a pavillion and old historic train car
Didnt stop I was just passing by.
Nice area to have a family time. Great place to hang out.
Its a peaceful place. I appreciate that its always clean and it has great play areas for kids.
Clean peaceful. Nice place to relax.... Also poke stops and 3 gyms

Great park next to downtown Plano. The kids playgrounds have fun activities for all ages of kids.
Has a restroom near the Downtown Plano DART Station! Very cool park!
Great park, just needs more trash cans.
