Modern facilitt, great service. Food with full bar. Great seating arrangement spacious and clean. A winner. It was open on Thankgiving eve. I hope the company survives.

Clean establishment, the movie theaters are nice and spacious. The movie screen is dim and could be brighter. The house lights remain on “dim” throughout the movie and that’s a bit annoying. The sound could be louder as well. People eating their food, clinking their glasses and ordering can be heard above the movie. They allow babies in the theater as well, they can get loud. If they compensated the screens and volume to accommodate the setbacks it would greatly improve the movie experience. The bathrooms are clean but smell like sewage. Plenty of parking in a well lit lot, and the staff is friendly.

Nice theater. Like the colony location better. The bathroom at this location always has nonworking everything. Have to go to like 4 different sinks for either soap or water and they never have the paper towels in the dispenser. Half the time my food is cold. Still like it better than other theaters so I guess its cool.

I received free tickets from a family member so I went on a Tuesday night. The staff was friendly, the theater was clean and I enjoyed my thin crust pizza. I gave 4 stars because a cup of ice water is $1 and the seats don’t recline.

They charge $1.08 for tap water and dont tell you till you get the bill. Theyve switched from large reusable cups to small disposable ones but price hasnt changed. In fact they charge for refills for soda now even though the new, bad for the environment cup, is half the size.This place is awful right now. Everything was dirty and they do NOT sanitize or have contactless payments. You can buy your tickets on the app, but then you have to use the touchscreen that every other person buying tickets also had to use with their bare hands. It was not sanitized in-between uses even though there were employees just standing around.I really missed going to the movies, but this place is not at all worth it. Go somewhere that actually cares about the safety of its customers.

First movie of the day and the floors are full of crumbs and food. Seats do not recline and do not heat. A bit outdated for a theater in 2020. Cinemark is much cleaner, state of the art amenities, and cheaper. SMG and AMC wont last.

We were able to rent the whole theater. Just family and friends. We have been going for years and will continue.

I have loved coming to Studio Movie Grill for years, especially this location, but over the past 2-3 years, the service and food quality has greatly diminished. Last night may have been the last straw. My boyfriend and I ordered two waters before the previews even started. We waited 20 min and nothing. The couple next to us received their drinks, food, and the waiter even came back and fulfilled their request for hot sauce. So after waiting another 10 min, I pressed the button for service and was told that they were backed up and would get it soon. I kid you not, there were only 10 people in the theater. Most of them in pairs who probably ordered at once so how were you that backed up that we couldnt even get some waters?? Finally, an hour into the movie I walked out to the bar and ordered a water for myself as the waiter stood by and said nothing. No apology or anything. Looks like The Colony location will have to get my business from now on. Clean it up Plano!!

My favorite is the pizza and I being a vegetarian has an option that makes me to watch movies here. Vegetarians you gotta come here. The seats recline and gives you a comfortable viewing position which makes the experience even better.

Since the remodel, I can definitely say that Studio Movie Grill in Plano has upgraded quite a bit. The movie theater is way cleaner and more modern looking than before. I am still not very impressed with the quality of the food for the price, but it is still fun to be able to eat a full meal during a movie. Thank goodness for the remodel!

The theater was very clean, but just about everything else made for a poor movie watching experience.Only the front row seats reclined, but the ones further back dont. This was a literal pain in the neck as the headrest of my seat pushed my head forward. I actually needed to tilt my head back to see the screen since it was much higher than eye level. My back is still hurting from it.The insulation must be quite thin because we could clearly hear the movie next to us. This was quite distracting any time there was a dramatic quiet moment.Staff stood straight up, blocking our view, even though we were two rows away. They used bright electronic devices to take orders which were really distracting. The expectation is for audience members to not use bright distracting cell phones during movies. Why are staff using them to take orders?The experience as a whole took away from the movie my friend and I were watching.

Service is okay, theater is very clean overall but the seating brings down the whole experience especially since the competing dine-in theaters set the bar with plush full reclining seats.

Plano SMG needs a deep cleaning in all areas of theatre, especially the bathrooms. Movie presentation was fuzzy and out of focus on screen.

I liked that they upgraded the chairs from those rolling chairs to the leather ones. Still not a fan of their popcorn and I also didnt like that the waiter pops in front of you to talk about the check right in the middle of the good part of the movie. I have no idea what he said so I just nodded just to move him out of the way.

The food I honestly did not enjoy. My chicken tenders were hard, and had a fishy smell. The steak fries were as well. Needless to say. I left pretty much my whole meal on the plate. The only thing I enjoyed was my drinks.

Tried using a voucher here and the staff was not friendly or helpful. I understand that fine print is part of the voucher but the employee could have had better customer service. Prefer the Colony location over this one.

Once upon a time the food was good. Now it is barely edible. But the final blow was the service. While one waiter was polite, it could not make up for only half our drink order coming, and having to ask for 2 people’s drinks three times. Then one child had to wait 15 minutes for their cheese pizza after the rest of the order arrived. The pizzas were barely warm. This will be the last time our family comes to the Plano Movie Grill at Park (and Preston).

Very helpful and friendly.If SMG is reading this, please know that those new self-service kiosks are not easy enough to use to replace an attendant to purchase and print tickets.Now, the experience is very nice at this theater. The reason it didnt get FIVE STARS is because the seat arms were covered in candy gunk from the prior user.

No complaints about the business itself, but EVERY TIME I park my car there is always some black guy asking for change in the parking lot. Last time I gave him 10$ because I just won 100$ on a scratch off so I was feeling generous. He gladly took it with a huge smile on his face, laughed hysterically, then began urinating in his pants. It was weird.

Comfortable seats, good picture.Only negative is the sound from the neighboring theater is audible in the one we were seated in. Somewhat distracting to hear and feel that movies sound during the show your trying to enjoy.Plan to return and see if maybe the sound annoyance just isolated event.

Nice comfortable seats with relatively spacious aisles. Decent food, but poor service. I went there with several friends, we ordered a few minutes before the movie started, and the last dish came out about a half hour before the movie ended-over an hour after we ordered.

This was a great evening with friends. Super friendly staff. I had no idea they had so many theaters under one roof. Terrific bar, good place to wait on friends. Will DEFINITELY go back. Oh yes, the food was amazing!

The movie experience here is awesome with so many delicious options to choose from. My favorite is the pizza and I being a vegetarian has an option that makes me to watch movies here. Absolutely disgusting and cheap tasting food. The pizza tasted awfully sweet and I asked the waiter why when he came back. He said they use honey butter in the crust! Who puts honey flavor on a pizza!! The popcorn didn’t even taste right per my wife and it’s hard for her to not like popcorn. The seats don’t recline, etc. Will never be back again.

Server had an attitude. My daughter waited almost an hour just to get her first drink. We had to get someone from the bar to get it for us by the way it was a Sprite. You would think that paying over $200 for a meal and tickets for the five of us we could get better service. By the way they were not busy as the parking lot was almost empty and our theater was not even at half capacity.

Worst experience ever at a movie theater. The movie was suppose to start at 7:15 didn’t till 7:50 yeah previews. Ordered food and drinks around 7:30 for 4 people and received the drinks approx 30 min later and never received food. About 15 min before movie was over lady comes with bill with everything on it. She slid in and stretched her arm out to put it down and avoid contact. I sat there after movie and know on came to pick it up so I stop another server and explain we never got our bill. She takes bill and I wait 10 more min and she never returns so I go down to find someone and speak with manager he apologizes and says this bill is on us and here are free movie passes, then has me come over to computer. I comply and then he says I can take food off but u have to pay for drinks. Wow thank you for taking food off. We will never be going to a studio movie grill ever again. I gave the free passes to people walking in

My friends and I had a pretty good time there. We went to see the joker and the movie itself was absolutely fantastic. The food wasnt badd especially sense considering gets and a movie theater. I will say though that I am a bit disappointed in the amount of time it took to get a server over even know all 3 of us had our red lights on and it took 10 to 15 minutes at a time just to get them to come over. Not a terrible experience, but it can definitely be your improved.

I do not know if you had a manager on duty last night but your establishment was very dirty and not organized. We arrived 20 minutes before our show as you say on your website just to not be able to be seat until the actual movie started because the theater was still dirty. The food was good and came at a decent time but for the life of us, we could not get our drinks. Then when my husband needed a refill it took 20 minutes and three different people to get a simple soda. I went to the restrooms and they were horrible! There was toilet paper and trash everywhere with a opened condom wrapper on the ground for the little kids to see!! This was such a horrible experience and we will never be back. Very dissapointed!

Tonight my husband had a date night here. We were trying to do our self checkin with the scanner and could not get it to work. Alexis who was working at the entry saw the struggle and came over with smiles and help! She totally had the best hospitality! Quality has been slowly going downhill at this location. Food USED to be dead on, now trending to the subpar. Service is...to not put too fine a point on things... embarrassing...and this is being GRACIOUS. Got in for a move an extra hour longer than we should have because while on the road, The Colony location got selected for the movie. Decide to get lunch early instead of coming back. Was THAT ever a mistake. Sat down in a booth like we usually do for at least drinks like we usually do- punched the service call button. Nothing. Utterly ignored for nearly an hour...had to ask for a manager. Manager apologized for the mishap, but did nothing at all to compensate other than take my order. Well see about whether the food gets to me or if the blasted stuff will have to follow me into the theater. Lovely way to celebrate my GFs birthday, guys!(Edit)Ah...food. Something straight out of Gordon Ramsays Kitchen Nightmares. Fries? Room temperature. Burgers barely above it. Dont want to know HOW you could take 15 minutes to make this that way for fear of it being JUST LIKE Kitchen Nightmares in nature. If you take pride at this, guys...it flatly doesnt show. Wont be back at this point. Maybe at a different location. Been to this location for years...and this is in Plano of all places. What does it say about the rest of the chain?

Really disappointed. I loved studio movie grill but they have no loyalty to their customers. Me my sister and mom go to SMG practically every Sunday to watch a movie get dinner and wine. The last time we went we were at the bar having our wine after the movie laughing and another patron I guess complained we were being annoying and the bar tender cut us off. We were not at all drunk/disorderly and then we asked for the manager to say hey we are loyal customers I get it but can yall cut us some slack since we are obviously not drunk and he was so rude we even told him how often we came and they just did not care. I am just disappointed bc most companies care for their loyal customers but they clearly do not. we have a new theater opening up near us that is the same as SMG and we will go there from now on. They lost people that really liked going there which. even sucks for us but they clearly dont care. I even attached photos of my points for proof. Bet they wont even respond.

Came on Thanksgiving Day and the place was pretty empty which was great. Service was on point. Seats were comfy. Wished they reclined but thats minor. Visual and audio tech seemed out of date.

Seat I had was broken; it wouldnt lean back and the seat part actually bent downward toward the floor. The service was bad: I ended up paying twice for my drink because the gal that took my drink order expected me to pay right then (and I included a tip, too), and then at the end of the movie a different person came around and expected me to pay for it again. There are better dinner movie options in Dallas, so Studio Movie Grill should be improving due to real competition, but theyre not. Go somewhere else.

This location doesnt give water out without purchase. Never had an issue with that before. Its a shame because the theater here is a bit better than other locations (less noise between the different screens).Sadly service here is one of the worst. Never had this issue with other locations. Hopefully management addresses!Edit for response: We did contact customer service, and we were told its normal and expected since we wouldnt be tipping and we should get water from the bar. We hadnt even had a chance to order before being treated this rudely, and we definitely didnt want to continue after that point. We happily went to a nearby pizza join and enjoyed great service. Poor Service. Waited for over an hour for my food to come to the bar only to be told that it was never placed in the 1st place. Complete lack of communication. The manager did try to make it right by offering 2 movie passes and comping a portion of my order. For this Ill give him 2 stars.

I went to a late showing of a horror movie, and it wasnt the most pleasant experience. Most of the walk to the theater was all the employees talking and avoiding customers as well as cleaning up (which isnt bad, but a simple how can I help? or hope you enjoy your show! would of been nice.) We put in a order and after about 45 minutes I was less than pleased. The pizza tasted as if the cheese was sour. I asked for no ice and they took the drink back and gave me ice.. and I had to send it back again. Dessert portions are smaller than any other place Ive been. The saving grace for us was the good seating and timely response from the people who were working our movie. I think Studio Movie Grill is great, just not this location..

I have been a fan of SMG for some time. I love the seating, the ease of reserving your seat etc.. The service is usually pretty good. However the food needs some attention. We have had some food come out luke warm and late. The quality of the food could also be better.

All the machines were done but one to get tickets from. Staff seem disheveled and frustrated and were not kind. Then they hard card issues and issues getting our food. Movie was good seats were horrible. I didn’t realize only front row were adjustable. Stuff hard chairs. We wouldn’t come back to this location again.

Im not happy with the company. I know its Sunday but I know movies are being played so theres no reason why theyre not answering the phone. I cant even leave a message at this location, I called the Spring Valley location as well as the Dallas location and left messages with both of them but nobody is answering their phones either. I would like to be able to talk to somebody and answer questions before I drive all the way out there. Its been a couple years since Ive been there so Im not sure if the food has gotten any better I know when I had gone the food wasnt very good. Service is okay normally its a bunch of kids doing the best they can

I visited this location twice !!! Both times were phenomenal!!! Service was awesome, food was fresh, drinks were delicious! Staff was very courteous and polite. Establishment is very well kept and clean. This is my new favorite movie spot ️

Weve been coming to SMG Plano for 10 years. Have always enjoyed the experience. After the upgrade several years ago, it was initially nice. Not sure what happened but we saw a movie tonight and it was awful. It was colder out so not sure if that had anything to do with it, but regardless it shouldnt have, The theatre was about 55 degrees inside. As soon as we went in we told an employee and they said they would let the manger know. The employee also acknowledged the cold temperature and even had a stocking cap on! We ordered some food and drink and waited about 20 minutes for any of it. Normally not a problem, but there were only 4 customers in the whole theatre. Maybe that was a sign. When the food did come out it was hands down the saltiest food weve ever had. The brisket on the potato skins and nachos was fatty. It had to be the waiters first day on the job because he was absolutely lost. All in all a bad experience. On our way out we met the manger and let him know our experience as our teeth chattered from still trying to warm up. He seemed shocked. Guess he didnt get the message.

Was here last week... saw a great movie BUT so much is wrong with this place! The restroom was HORRIBLE! And I put the service light on and two hours later went in again still gross.The food was bad. Pretzels were dry and stale and popcorn was cold. The service was great but did not make up for the sticky floors, poor food and ok loungers.

This was a horrible experience and I would never return. It took 30 minutes to receive my simple order of a root beer soda. Then the attendants keep interrupting my movie experience since Im 64 and dont quite leave the leg room they need to do there job..

Very clean. Exceptional staff. Courteous from beginning to end. The server (Allegra) was the best server Ive ever had there.

Overall it was OK. The cashier leaves much to be desired,the waiter forgot that I was there had to sign my ticket in the lobby and the bathrooms were nasty. As s positive the seats were comfy and the chicken nacho were really good as well as the sangaria Margarita.

I went here with a group one time and I found the theater to be pleasant. It has decent leather seating which you can reserve in advance. The prices are good but the food was average at best. The drinks were not very strong either, but they do offer service to your seat which I like. Overall the theater was a decent experience that I do recommend.

Generally speaking, if you want to watch a movie with minimal distractions, talking, miscellaneous interruptions, and bright phone screens lighting up the dark room, then this is not the place for you.I prefer to receive my drink orders sooner than 1 hour after I order it, and less than 4 times checking in on it. Thanks for the water though, I guess.Margarita pizza was soggy.Garbage.

Never received my entree. They sure are quick to charge you and take your money and slow to refund it back. Still waiting!

Have been coming here for awhile and enjoyed their student discounts and drinks. But recent they have been adding up charges for things like extra ranch, or a $1 charge for tossing tenders in sauce. Really do not enjoy a 2 for $28 order being a final $48 for getting two drinks and asking for ranch on the side.

Very dirty, theater was not cleaned before our movie. Drink spills, greasy tables, crumbs on the seats. SMG Plano has been our theater choice for many years, we will not be back. The restrooms were disgusting. Very disappointed. Two stars is for our waitress Allegra, thank goodness she was so attentive.

My daughter and I shared a snack and some drinks while we watched the Zombie land sequel. Comfortable seats and prompt service. The siracha chicken sliders with thick french fries were good. Much more economical and convenient for us than ipic.

The service was great and the food was awesome! They have a 2 for 28$ deal where you pick from a appetizer, 2 entrees and a dessert.

This is my wife and my ‘go to’ theater since we began dating. The food has always been tasty. The movies are presented in appropriate theaters for the size of the audience. We always enjoy our time there.

I was a little disappointed that the seats don’t recline or have a foot rest, and the table attachment is placed too close to you. Service was also a little slow being that we didn’t even have half the theater filled. I will say it was clean, and the drinks from the bar were awesome! We had a few mecheladas (no clue how to spell it) and a virgin Bloody Mary, they were great!

If I could do negative stars I would. Worse service I have had at a movie theater in years, I was also not the only one who was having issues. had the wrong order, then finally corrected only to be ignored several times when I tried to get a simple pop corn refill, people next to me had it worse,. Im sure her review will be on here soon. Will not be back

We had a nice visit the first time but on this visit my chair was not work properly and the service was not do great. They seemed under staffed. The place seems like it could use a refresh. Good was very good both times.

Extremely poor service. Arrived 30 min before start time and food did not show up until after the movie started. Food was cold. When the waiter showed up with the check, he just stood in front of me blocking the ending of the movie. Unable to verify what was on the check because it was so dark and he was waiting on me to tell him the check was good. Then to make matters worse the place smelled of bad feet!

The seats are very uncomfortable and it physically hurt my head and neck leaning back. The waiter asked us if we were ready to order BEFORE we got our menus. Uh hello? I can’t order if I don’t have a menu. The service was also bad. Very disappointed.

Limited menu and food was just okay. The sliders were hard and dry but the mac and cheese was better. However we ordered popcorn before the movie started and never received it, pressed attendant button and ask and they never came back, pressed and asked again and still never came back, third time we just waved down a near by server and explained were still waiting on popcorn and 3/4 of the movie had finished by then. It was just more effort than it was worth and the entire time pur attention was focused on waiting for food instead of the movie so that was frustrating.

Finally went to the special needs screening with my family. The movie and the atmosphere was great. Glad to be somewhere where my son could walk around when he got restless, during a movie at that... Will return to see another movie. Only downside its pretty early and they only have one set time.

My family visited Studio Movie Grill in Plano, TX yesterday for a 6:00pm showing of Avengers. What a huge mistake!! My family which is a blended family of five children who paid over $80 for our tickets were sitting down in their seats when I was informed that Jamar Cole who was the working manager at the time went to cook staff in the kitchen and told the cooks we had stated a racial slur with regard to Mr. Cole the manager because he and my boyfriend had a disagreement about an expired guest pass.So due to the safety of our five young children we literally had to leave because Jamar Cole had voluntarily went to kitchen staff and lied because he is a coward knowingly putting my family in danger. Mr. Jamar Cole is the kind of person serving food to our families in Plano, Texas.Mr. Jamar Cole should not be working around families or food. Shame on Studio Movie Grill for hiring such trash. Yes, my children have a right to be safe, and due to the fact my family paid abut $80 we had the right to watch the movie without some idiot throwing a fit who was the actual manager.I am suing Studio Movie Grill in Plano if I do not receive proof this man has been fired. Someone must protect the innocent families taking their families to Studio Movie Grill in Plano.Jamar Cole is a coward, liar and a danger to families dining at Studio Movie Grill Plano.Until this coward is fired eat at your own risk because Mr. Cole will literally go to cook staff and have your family out in danger because they are the cooks. It is disgusting.

Only gave 2 stars instead of 1 because our waiter was nice.Seats arent comfy, lots of bleed thru of theater noise...(movie playing next door) rather then having a $10 salad you could $5 chicken to, I got a $15 wedge salad with 1 1/2 cherry tomatoes, a few slices of purple onion, blue cheese and chopped iceberg.Also got charged 2x for it.They made my first one with bacon even tho I asked for it without ...so technically i did get 2 salads....you know what I meanAnywho. Not a big fan

Was not a big fan of this place. our seats were dirty and covered in crumbs when we arrived. The server who helped us was good, he was training which is totally fine but the guy who was training him was not friendly at all and looked miserable. The food selection was decent. This location just didnt stand up to other nearby theaters that are much cleaner and have better service.

We used a Groupon voucher and it was no issue whatsoever. Redeemed it online for tickets and seats.We were greeted pleasantly upon arrival and checked in. The lady at the front (sadly I dont remember her name) but she was kind enough to explain a currernt special SMG had going, answered my questions and made sure we understood about the special, what we needed for our current movie and for any food if we were going to purchase.The movie theater was clean, the staff was attentive and courteous.My daughter ordered the kids mini burger meal and quite enjoyed it. The French fries were especially tasty with seasoning and the kids meal comes with a drink and a cookie so she was set for the movie.Since we arrived and entered the theater about 15 minutes before the movie was to start (so we could review the menu since we dont go there much) I would have preferred for the house lights to have been raised a bit. It was extremely dark lighting when we arrived, which I felt was too low for before the movie and I had to use the phone flashlight to read the menu. It would have been much better if the lights were up a little bit more so the menu was readable and then turn the lights down closer to when the movie would start.After the movie, we exited the theater and no servers or workers were to be seen; however, at the bottom of the ramp we were greeted with a wonderful smile by Michelle who gave us a kind salutation for a nice evening.
