This is the cutest little place! You still get a great viewing experience but its perfectly located! Not a lot of people use it either which makes it a fantastic place to go! Only thing I would say is you should eat before or load up on snacks to take with you because they dont have a great selection of snacks (they do have popcorn tho)

I like to visit this place occasionally, its very clean they have a full bar available, they offer snacks and its pretty clean the employees are nice and helpful. The prices is relatively high compare to other movie theaters but they deserve it, the location makes up for it. I liked everything very much other than the restrooms. They were not very clean.

I love going to movies here, as they have a good variety of both mainstream films and independent/documentaries. They have a bar, snacks and assigned seating. The only reason they get a 4 vs. 5 star is there is not a tip line for their employees if you pay with credit card. Cash is the only way to tip.

This place is nice. Always love the Angelika at Mockingbird Station. This one is pretty good. Staff is friendly and helpful. Food is not beyond the prices for competitors. Only hiccup was the aged, bombed out aspects. Place kinda looked a little run down in a couple spots. Other than that, awesome sauce.

Offering a varied selection of independent and art house films you wont find at your regular multiplex alongside a few occasional blockbusters for balance, the Angelika is a fantastic theatre experience. They also hold annual screenings of curated classics such as the library of Studio Ghibli animated features during the summer and a sampling of Stanley Kubrick films every April as well as others. The theatre is quaint and upscale in its decor and caters perfectly to the movie lover in your life whether thats yourself or someone you know.

Angelika is simply reliable. Not modern but comfortable seats, reliable service, great movies, and a good overall experience. Great date place thats conveniently located in the Shops at Legacy. They usually have 4 films to choose from: 1-2 mainstream and 2-3 independent, foreign, or unique. Always good. You could almost just buy a ticket to any movie randomly and trust that you would enjoy it. I often arrange dinner at a local restaurant and then walk to Angelika. After there are many options for dessert, a decaf coffee, or a nightcap all within walking distance.

It’s also located near lots of shops and restaurants so before and after your movie you can hang out at the local shops and restaurants and enjoy your time.

Just moved here. Second time here. Its a great theater with a lot of charm. Saw Once Upon a Time during the day. Service was great and friendly. Not too many people but the print was really amazing. Only one break but that proved it was a print and not digital. Id take away a half star because of the mildew smell in the theater. Other than that, flawless. Cant wait for Downton Abbey!

We love the Angelika! We love the movies. We are so disappointed in the popcorn and the fact that Conner the night manager was so rude about it! We waited 20 minutes and then the girl had to bring it to the theatre. However, it was cold and stale! In my business the client is always right! We never have this issue at the Mockingbird Angelika! The popcorn is always so fresh and tasty! Plus you never argue with a client! Also the bathrooms are so messy! We do appreciate the movies selection though! Step up the popcorn game guys you can do better!

My wife and I went to see a movie here two weeks ago. We bought our tickets at the theatre, but instead of selling tickets downstairs at the ticket counter, we had to buy them upstairs at the concession stand. I mentioned to the employee that this did not make any sense, and she replied it was not her choice and agreed. When we entered the theater to find our assigned seats, we were met with a dirty theater. Popcorn all over the seats, popcorn bags on seats and floor, drinks left on the seats and floor. It was gross. Our seats were not in the filth. When we left, the theater adjacent to ours was being cleaned for the next showing. What?!? This used to be a nice place. Not any more, and we will not be going back.

All the movies worth seeing are played here. The building is beautiful; they have great snacks, including one of those 125 flavor drink machines. You can order alcohol and even some sandwiches. It was bit dirtier this visit than normal: we sat down in assigned seats, which were covered in another persons snack detritus. Popcorn, undrank drink. The bathroom was gross, my toilet wouldnt flush and my sisters stall didnt have a coat hook. Soap dispensers were all empty and most were broken. We also endured rude audience members, which doesnt normally happen here. Feet on seats, answering phones and talking. But then there was a really nice family that stood up and stepped onto the stairs to let us get to our seats. Its normally great, though. Its an intellectual haunt, because these are the smart movies for smart people :)

Last night was my first experience here and for the most part it was a good one! The staff was very friendly and helpful. This theatre is definitely very unique and I loved the vintage feel. But I had one very powerful negative experience that pushed me to need to write a review. The whole upper level including the hallways and inside of the theatre smelled of cat urine. I mean, I couldnt make it up and it was so unpleasant everyone was talking about it. It made me nauseous and my whole experience watching a 2 hour long film a not so pleasant one. I am un sure of why it smelled this way, but I dont think they should run the place until the smell is gone. trust me, it was bad.

My family and I went to see a movie at Angelika Plano Center on December 14, 2013. An hour into the movie, one of the other patrons begins to smoke a cigarette of some time. Smoke fumes and aroma filled the air. My son who has asthma, says to me why is someone smoking in this enclosed space. I went to get a theater attendant and pointed the gentleman out to him that is smoking. He tells me that he could not handle this situation and that he would have to get the manager. The manager arrives to the theater, I again point the person out that is smoking! The manager just stands there, saying, What do you want me to do? Other movie patrons begin to stand up and tell him the same thing. The managers response was nothing!!!! He never went over to the gentlemen. He never addressed the issue at ALL! He stated that Angelika Film Center has not made a decision on E-cigarettes and if they will be allowing them in their theaters. He said, I cant remove anyone from the theaters without contacting the police, which he also did not feel this situation warranted calling them. He sided with the ONE smoking patron. Shame on Angelika Theaters for allowing your other patrons to breathe in second hand smoke to obtain $$$$… Poor management training on the part of Angelika Film Centers for not how to handle rude and disgusting smoking customers!!!! The movie was ruined for me and the many patrons that also got up and walked out and asked for their money back. I guess one bad apple ruins the pack!!! If you dont mind inhaling second hand smoke, getting cancer and dying, then this is the place for you!!

Thank you Mark Cuban for preserving and refining the art house movie theater concept and updating it for the 21st century. The best place to see foreign and documentary films in town.A couple of observations and comments: It seems wrong to be serving 10 oz. domestic beers and wine in cheap plastic cups at silly high prices at an upscale place like this. Hey Cubes, you wouldnt serve that at a Mavs game, so why here? This neighborhood Clientele deserves better food and beverage and better accouterments.Still a 5.star rating based on the films presented. But if Alamo Draft House gets more artsy then Angelika will be in distant second place because of the menu, beverage selection, and those cheap tiny plastic cups that hold overpriced domestic beer.

Their venues are dated. Most of the competition as gone to the luxury lounge chairs with food and beverage service and reserved seating. I recently visited an Angelica in San Diego. DNT is just down the street. plenty of covered parking nearby and its either free or you can get it validated at the theater. you can get typical theater food and or alcoholic drinks and some of the best dining in Plano is nearby and within walking distance. youll fit in quite well bringing your Aventador or you can arrive sans back pain in your old beat up American sedan like I do...

Modern, upscale place to watch indie and artsy, Cannes and Sundance festival type films in a hipster friendly environment. Prices are quite expensive, crowd is usually small and mainly adults so viewing experience is always quite good. The movies shown here usually just arent my cup of tea, so I rarely ever visit. But occasionally, a big budget blockbuster comes along and this is a wonderful place to watch those.
