Games are getting a bit dated, and I recommend being an experienced player for some of the game elements. For example, can be a lot of searching, complicated lateral thinking, experimentation with opening locks. Not the best introduction to an Escape Room if this is your first time or youre trying to impress your date, but if your team works great together can be a very fun experience. If youve played a ton of games, however, I highly recommend the hilarious training video in which they give a simple TWELVE points of gameplay that inevitably contradict each other: If youre having a panic attack, contact our staff, We cant actually lock you inside the room because you might have a panic attack, so open the door at any time. And gotta mention charging your credit card for breaking props, have we mentioned that well charge your credit card on file for breaking props? Did you know your credit card was on file for breaking props? Well now you do. Consider getting through the intro video your first team challenge. Puzzles: good for advanced teams that like an old school challenge. Intro video: So bad most of my review was about it.

I go to this place regularly with my friends and every time has been super fun, even if we didnt escape. Weve done a couple of the harder ones, and recently did one for my birthday. The girl at the front is super cool and made my birthday pretty rad. Thanks.

Really fun! Didnt quite make it - took 62.5 min instead of just 60, but will definitely try again. Challenging puzzles, well-managed property. Had a great time! The online booking was really easy so we could pay ahead and reserve a spot and not have 1 person having to come out of pocket for a bunch of maybe people. Good stuff!

Went here for a team outing and it was a great experience. We truly had fun and I would recommend going. The challenge wasn’t too difficult and we beat the other team. It was clean and nice. The restrooms could use some updating because it really takes away from the appeal of the place.

Went there with my daughter and some of her early teen friends. We had a really fun time doing the Secret Vault room even though we didnt escape. The room was more challenging than some of the other escape rooms we have done and they also limit the number of clues you can ask for. Great place and friendly staff.

Ive completed probably 20+ escape rooms and by a significantly large margin the attic society room was the worst room Ive ever done. Lack of technology and zero intuitiveness. Absolutely no logic or flow to the clues and the room is basically blind trial and error. Compared to what else is out there, this room is way outdated and completely substandard.They also cram up to 12 people in a room and do not cap it or lower the price per person even if all 12 were in your party. It is quite obvious that allowing 12 people in such a low quality room is just plain greedy. Out of all the rooms Ive played, Ive never seen that many people allowed in one room.I sent this feedback directly to the Escape Expert but I havent received a response. On a positive note - my gamemaster was very friendly - thats the only reason Escape Expert got one star - and the fact I cant give zero stars!

Outstanding experience! Our family of 4 went to Escape Expert in Plano not knowing what to expect as we had never done escape rooms before. The experience was extremely fun and challenging. We had to think to move forward, laughed, and succeeded together. We will definitely continue going back. Im recommending the wonderful experience to my large company as well.We are very family orientated. I cannot express how wonderful the owners and staff were to all of us. We were part of their family from our first phone call, when we arrived, and as we left. They even went our of their way for my sons birthday. We did the Secret Vault room here and it was such a blast. We were less 2 folks but we almost made it through. Just missed by some minutes.Nevertheless, it was the best time we had in a while. Everyone was super excited to have made it that far.The challenge was awesome, very tricky at times and we were glad to have gotten some help from the staff.We were also very pleased with the escape experts staff and how they made us feel welcome.IMHO this place is easily the best in the DFW area.

I will definitely go back! It wasnt what I expected but it still it was a lot of fun! Prices were reasonable. I would have given them 4 starts if they orientation part was better. Im sure I heard the same information 3 time... Once on a video, once in the orientation room and again once we got to the Escape room... if other people are that hard of hearing then just charge their credit card.

Very fun escape rooms, and very kind staff. This is one of our favorite Escape Rooms in the Dallas area. We have done two rooms in their building and both have been very unique and challenging. There are tons of puzzles to get several people involved at once and each room is very detailed. The staff again is awesome, especially the owners who are super nice and love getting feedback on their rooms so that they can improve them.In short, excellent place for some puzzle fun with your band of friends!

This was a wonderful and exciting adventure! We were 1st timers, did this as a post graduation activity with the Denise Ford group, and everyone had a ball! Though we did not make it through in the allotted time, the staff was very helpful in showing us the things that we missed and giving helpful tips. We will definitely be back again, it was a fun night out!

This was our first time at any escape room. We booked a room which we described to us as being a more challenging difficult room and were recommended a beginner room. We agreed and began our time. There wasnt a moment in which my wife and I felt overwhelmed, bored, or disinterested with the activity. The staff before, during, after was very helpful, informative, and polite. They ensured that we had a great time and even reviewed the parts of the situation that we did not get to. We will be back to try the other rooms and have encouraged our friends to make time to go and try the rooms out as well. Thanks for provided a great venue for a date night!

As an avid escape room player, I enjoyed their room with my family for a quick Saturday outing. The staff was awesome and the room was greaf for a gen 1 room. The room was capable of people working on numerous puzzles at once which allowed participation from everyone. I will definitely be back with my escape room friends to try their other rooms and definitely their newer generation rooms that are coming soon!! I would recommend this place. :)

The attic room is very basic and it looks like minimal effort was put into design style. Its just an office room with basically locks on boxes and a few hidden buttons. Considering others rooms Ive seen this one was very disappointing and didnt feel special at all. One of our locks failed to work also and we had to reenter the code multiple times.

Had the experience twice before they moved to Plano. Always a blast. Bring lots of like minded friends! I would rather do a room Escape over a movie due to the feeling of accomplishment you feel. If you include buying snacks and drinks to your movie ticket doing a room escape is very affordable. I am so pleased to see this company doing well.

The rooms here are very challenging, we chose this as a team building activity across two groups and we all had a blast! The staff at escape expert escape room are very accommodating for large parties as well!! If ever in the area I would definitely give it a try you wont regret!!

Weve done every room they have. We will continue to come back here for as long as they keep making new rooms. Our favorite escape room in the dfw area. The clues always link and always make sense, but the puzzles are hard. Great time as always.

So much fun!! I had done one before in OK that was fun but the caliber of Escape Expert is leaps and bounds above. Lots of clever puzzles and hidden clues. The staff was so nice and funny. They added a lot to the experience. Definitely want to go again.

This is a well run Escape Room establishment. Its well designed and ran. I came here for a work group outing, and it was a lot of fun. You get put a room with your friends, and you have to solve all of the puzzles to unlock all of the locks that eventually let you escape the room. They watch you on a monitor and let you dial into the control room for clues. I would come back.

The place is fairly nice considering other escape room venues. Ive been to a few rooms and they were pretty decent. They have a giant wheel you can spin for prizes if you escape so thats rad.Of the rooms Ive been to one of them had a pretty cheap difficult way to escape. The staff also seemed intentionally misleading during orientation which was unnecessary. For example they said anything on the wall above 5 feet was only decoration, but there was tarp hanging from the room with numbers much higher than eye level that we needed, so things like that. The rooms I was in also had one jump scare each which... Isnt my favorite but its whatever.However, despite all of that its still more than worth the price. Around 28 I think per person. The rooms are constructed well with a good variety of themes. I plan on seeing all of their rooms eventually.

Great place but come ready they have some hard rooms. We did the Case Chase and did not complete it in time. It was fun and challenged us in ways we did not expect. So get you friends together and try a room. It will challenge you, you will have to think, you will have to work together but most important - you will have fun.

Outstanding Experience. We were expecting a challenge and we were not disappointed. Fun, challenging and an overall great time. Cant wait to go back to the other rooms. We almost finished this in the time allotment. (Very close!) The staff was very friendly and helpful and even gave us some extra time.A great, adventure type experience for an affordable price. We used groupon for a group of 5. an hour + long adventure that keeps you non stop thinking and is just loads and loads of fun. Great themes. Cool features. Very creative.I recommend this to anybody. our group ranged from 22-28 in age(3 girls 2 guys) and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

This owner is a genius from London; nice guy with a very clever business idea. I would go again, along with people across the world (there is a map with pins to place where visitors are from) who seem to share my opinion. My group did not finish escaping our vault, but we came incredibly close in the one-hour time limit.Many types of scenarios for all skill levels. Would recommend for anyone with a thinking mind.

This was my 2nd time visiting and it was just as amazing as the 1st time. My fiance, our 2 roommates, and myself went and tested a room with 8 other strangers that the crew at Escape Experts changed around. We escaped with a little more than 12 minutes left. The room was a perfect challange. I would recommend this place to friends and family for sure!

The Dead End Room was the most challenging but the most fun. Our game master Andre was the BEST. Request him!

Mind matrix was awesome. My friend and I tried to 2man complete the room, which has never been completed. We were about half way done after the hour, but they let us finish it out in 1hr42minutes. Awesome experience, will go try and do another room again!

Waste of money, did 2 rooms with these guys, pieces were missing from 1 room and a lock was not reset in another. The first room was disjointed and extremely hard to follow, when we failed to get out we were told that they had only ever seen drunk people escape. From someone who has played 23 escape rooms, that tells me that your room is illogical and not worth the time. The second room had WAY too many puzzles just to get into the second room. When we had filed a complaint with management they told us that we were the problem and refused to give us closure by telling us what we missed. We understand that is because they allow you to come back and play a slightly altered version, but at that point we were already pissed and were not planning on coming back. I was not planning on writing a review, but because of the poor treatment of management and what we felt like was shady dealings. We are recommending that You not waste your money here, go to any of the other 20+ escape rooms in the area and skip this place.Edit: please see the owners comments below for an example of their rude behavior. Weve done nearly every escape room in the DFW metroplex. This is definitely bottom tier. If they had really reviewed the security they would see what we were talking about. There are at least 5 good escape rooms close to this one. Do yourself a favor and go to one of those.

Was a lot of fun for an escape room I didnt think I was going to enjoy. My group barely made it out in time.

We had fun. I cant help but compare it to other escape rooms I have visited, which I did enjoy more. The room I visited here was largely devoid of furniture, so it felt empty.

Love this place so much! If youre looking for a good brain workout/test of wills, you need to put this place at the top of your list. This was our first time to try anything like this and decided the Secret Vault room would be the place to jump in. We Got teamed up with a random father/son trio and the seven of us made it out with only 3 minites to spare. Couldnt have done it without them. If we didnt have to go back to Austin, wed be back tomorrow to give the other rooms a go. Keep up the brain twisting work! Cant wait to come again.

I could write a book on how wonderful this place is. Traci and Andrew the owners went above and beyond to make my bachelorette party special with a customized room. The customer service at Escape Expert is unparalleled. Every single person in our group had a fantastic time even those who havent ever played an escape room before. We played Attice Society Ch.2. Their escape rate i believe is 20%. Over half of our group had never played before and we still got out with a little over 2 minutes to spare. The escape rooms are expertly designed with a slight challenge but definitely not unbeatable. Its an experience that i recommend everyone trying.(pst..its addicting). Thank you again Traci & Andrew for helping make such a wonderful memory.

I love the puzzles here! No two are alike so no matter your favorite, it is likely to be in there! Hidden doors, physical puzzles and many mental tasks await!

Went here with friends to take on the most difficult escape room. It was okay, the puzzles were hard but none of the clues really related to each other and made it more confusing and frustrating than fun. Weve done other escape rooms and their most difficult rooms and those were much more immersive and had interesting storylines. The introduction here is very long and didnt help the immersion. Good for your first couple runs at escape rooms but not the best out there.

Been to other rooms and this one seemed to be setup relatively cheaply. Should use more props instead of gimmicks anyone can make (pictures on a wall)

I set this up as a added fun event for our family get together in Dallas (we had family from all over a two state area). This was a first time for all of us and did not know what to expect. Our group was very diverse in ages from 25 to 67 and I was worried my older group would not have as much fun but thought watching the kids and grandkids would be entertaining. Boy was I wrong! My mom was awesome at the game and we all laughed at each other doing the clues to escape out of the room. We had so much fun that we are planning another escape and will most likely do this at every get together... Defiantly would highly suggest for family fun and a great way as a family to bond and work together as a group. The staff was awesome and we loved Andrews McJannetts intro to the game. Love love this place made some great memories for us to laugh about. Thanks Escape Expert for making our last day together awesome!

Overall, this is the most organized escape room I have done. However, my group ran into an issue with the quality of a magnetic puzzle in our room which significantly detracted from our experience.

My job booked this place for a team building event and it was AWESOME!! We are looking forward to booking it again later this year.

I loved this so much, not only did I get to have fun I got to excerise my logistic and teamwork side of my brain. The owners were wonderful and the rooms were a delight to be in. The scary one was probably my favorite, the blacklight was perfect. Made me feel like I was in an episode of Sherlock.

I went here with my 9th grade village tech classmates and it was so fun. We were in a room with a bunch of locks and we had a hour to get out of the room. Unfortunately my team didnt get out but we were still satisfied.

My husband and I had so much fun! We were the only two in the time slot we had originally booked. The lady called me a couple hours before asking if we would like to change the time so we could have a larger group. We did and were happy we did so. We escaped with less than a minute remaining. We would never have escaped if it were just the two of us. We also had originally booked the attick. The lady recommended we switch to the secret vault since it was just four of us. It is a harder room but better for less people since the attick has things that will keep 8 people busy the entire time. We had so much fun! I cant wait to go back and try to escape the rest of the rooms!

I spoke with several employees including a male who I assume was the manager and he was very rude a would not refund money so we could just leave.
