I enjoy walking along the canal. Today I saw some pretty big carp in there. Many people walk & bike along the canal. Its nice being out in nature. The waterfall is pretty! Come check it out!

If you stop by the Arizona Falls to see some history of the Arizona Canals, make sure you pack a lunch and enjoy GR Herberger Park which is connected to the Falls. The parking is to the west of the park and I always find a place to park. There are ramadas, tennis courts, volley ball, and lots of green grass to play on. There are restrooms. Arizona Falls is just to the east and you can walk the banks of the canal to enjoy the view or read about the history of the canals. This is a wheelchair friendly site!

Nice little walk around the water fall from creating a power plant from the aqueduct.Fun and a bit of a hidden beauty that very few know about.Come here and either walk around and read the history. Or come here to bike on the trails that go through the cities here. Or even just walk them.Enjoyable little park.

If you got patience andAn open mind, sit here a day. Youll watch all walks of life crossing paths and most will never have mind to notice the differences.. cool spot to reflect.

Amazing park to bring anyone, you have 2 options when you get here, go to the grass or go to the canal, they have a tennis court and benches all over, and the canal waterfall is very nice and peaceful to come at night, and running on the canal is quite nice, usually busy but not a problem!

The park consists of 2 sections. The first is the grassy area. it has a small concrete sidewalk loop that goes around the area that takes probably 10 or so minutes to finish. They also have a nice sand volleyball court and tennis court. The bathrooms were locked in the morning when I came... around 7 am.The second section is the canal trail that you can access by taking the stairs. The trail extends on for quite a bit either way you go- left or right. Ran into quite a few joggers trying to beat the morning heat. The canal follows and is right next to the main road. Water is calm and views are nice in the morning. Wouldnt want to be stuck out there though when the sun fully comes out though- no shade.

The park is alright. Its at Arizona falls which is nice to look at and theres a good amount of free parking. The tennis courts are in really bad shape though. Theres huge cracks and the lines can barely be seen. They redid the back boards which were totally dilapidated but they really need to do something with the courts.

This is a fantastic park. I frequently drive past my neighborhood park to walk my dog here. It’s extremely well maintained. It has nice clean tennis courts, and boards to practice against. Volleyball nets as well. This park is definitely worth a visit.

Love this park! When the weather is cool enough I am looking forward to riding a bike on the path. Its nice to have scenery while you walk, which is rare in the city. Great for taking the dog, there are some spots where it is slightly rocky for their paws though.

Nice Park, right off of Indian School Road and a great place to park, hence the name, ha! But seriously, a great place to park and enjoy a hike along the canal.Needs constant maintenance because of the embankment that contains the water in the canal, but a good place to chill having very few visitors to disturb you.

You gotta love that Phoenix has free public tennis courts. These courts could use resurfacing considering how many people use them.I hope thats in the citys budget.

Review №44

So disappointing - went to the Falls a while back & it was so beautiful & lush even in the heat of the summer. We all enjoyed it - Now it looks like a run down abandon facility with nobwater running all the plants & trees around dead or dying. Its so unfortunate that SRP would just let this happen - I am sure there will be graffiti all over it soon enough. No longer a place for families.
