Excellent views! Free entry. Parking is very limited and costs $1.50 per hour. Great views of NJ Camden and the bridge. Sunsets are beautiful. We went late Sat evening and there were relatively less people social distancing for the most part. Definitely worth a visit or 100! :)
You can see a beautiful view of the NJ area and the Bridge during sunset. We went there on a winter evening. It was cold but the view was magnificent. You can walk or run on the pier. There are parking meters nearby. You can enjoy the scenery within about half an hour. If you are in Philadelphia worthy visiting the park.
Beautiful insta-friendly shots for tourists. Also highlights the need for action to solve hunger and homelessness in the city. How can we be more involved in curbing the homelessness epidemic in Philadelphia? I was showing friends from over seas arround our beautiful city and they commented about the strides they have made in Manila to curb homelessness. Our walk in the city, rather than highlighting out beauty and history, showed the juxtaposition of the extreme wealth inequality in our home town. Access to basic human rights like Healthcare, food, shelter are unavailable to the most vulnerable.
Campos Philly Cheesesteaks loves Race st pier
Hello Race Street Pier! Thank you for your existence :)This place is magnificent in the summertime with all the events going on. One of my favorite events is the free yoga that happens three times a 2-3 times a day (starting in the spring/summer)I love coming here at all times of the day and it’s perfect for a low-budget date picnic with bae!I am a local photographer and I love capturing the breathe taking scenes here.Between the train, water, and benches, this makes for a perfect photography.
The Race Street Pier is one of my favorite location in Philadelphia. The grounds and landscaping are always superb. There are groups of people that meet for workouts, yoga, and meditating. Just know you should get a permit if you are doing wedding photos or engagement photos here. Also beware of the wind if you are shooting here as it tends to be a bit more windy coming off the water. Othewise you wont find another place in the city with better views of the Ben Franklin Bridge and NJ Skyline. Definitely check this spot out!
Fantastic place, small but worth a visit. Coming from nyc
Beautiful day to sit outside. Nice view
I love walking through here in the morning!
Its a cute little mini walk watching the river!
Great place for a date. Just throw down a blanket and enjoy the scenery and some grub
This is a great location to sit and relax. Definitely a lot less crowded then many of the other piers in the area. Thats sure to the fact that there is nothing fancy here but sometimes all you need is a call relaxing place to chill outside on a nice day. The view of the bridge is also spectacular here!
Beautiful scenery over looking the Delware River.
Great place to sit and relax maybe have a nice lunch or snack or get in a good workout.
Loved it was a great experience for me and the kids we really enjoy the holidays. An art gallery displays, would recommend, only problem is they were towing cars, so be careful
Beautiful park and awesome view of the bridge plus old city area. Over the river is NJ. Its also a good place to sit and relax under the trees.
Very nice view of the Delaware River front and Ben Franklin bridge. Good for nice walk and eat outs. Open all year around.
I love coming here. Its my favorite spot to relax and enjoy the view
Wonderful place for a walk about with your partner or quiet time to yourself.
Nice scenic place at night. People walking about, families, the Ghost Ship lit up under the Ben Franklin bridge is pretty cool to see!
The Race Street Pier is a nice place to capture great, close-up, photos of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge or just sit and relax. Its a quaint oasis amid the numerous tourist spots, hotels and restaurants along the river
Lovely views of the river and bridge
Very decent landscape project by James corner field operations. It created a loop, instead of a one way pier park. The left path orients to the franklin bridge, guiding the vision up to the bridge; right path leads to a more intimate space, shaped by lawn, high bushes, and woodland. Both of paths meet at the end as a terraced seating.
For a casual short liesure stroll, do check this place out; easy to get to, and easy to find...where Race Street ends on Columbus Blvd. Perfect spot to sip your coffee, gaze at the view across the river into NJ, Marvel at the towering Ben Franklin bridge. Not only that, a few blocks away just of 2nd Street you can add to your stroll by checking out the historic Elfreths alley, then you can enjoy some all American fare at La Peg just across from the pier or walk a block north on Columbus Blvd and check out the beer garden on Morgans Pier( in the left side of the bridge) .
Good place to feel the wind and chill.
Really cool park with great views.
Ghostship Philly... Awesome installation! I think I saw a couple of ghosts hiding in the rigging!
Brezzy love the smell of ocean water
Great and the good phone company Ive been around 50 years you know I know Im talkin about do men have 5G come out pretty soon everybody going to love it you know theyre going to be the number one phone company in the world in a couple months you know everybody going to go to him when he find out that
My daughter loved watching the boats go under the bridge
When I first started going here with my girlfriend, I had more fun than I could have ever imagined! We made multiple trips and had awesome adventures. Then inevitably she let too many others in on the secret and it lost its magic. Anyone who visits this amazing spot, remember to enjoy the feeling while it’s new especially if you’re with someone as special as the person I was with! Remember though, that exciting feeling will soon become fleeting the more others start to manifest in your memories...
Relaxed place. Nice view. Nothing special to do besides watching boats.
A unique public space, with trees, grass, an outdoor amphitheater built on he site of a former city pier used for shipping.
First let me say that the pier is beautiful and my kids loved the ghost ship. But myself and every other person that parked on the street that night (legally) mind you were towed and taken to an impound yard where you had to pay $200 to get your car and also a ticket. I was told by numerous people this is how the city gets money and it happens every weekend esp when there is an event. I would love to go back in the summer but this left me with a bad taste sadly.
Love the wonderful view of the Delaware river from the race street pier. Also, the towering majestic Ben Franklin bridge is just breath taking!! Definitely go check it out if you are in philly.
Really cool place to walk, especially on summer nights
Definitely a great place to sit and enjoy the weather.
I loved the view from the Pier. It is so peaceful there at night.
Perfect place for a quiet relaxing evening
Came here to watch the fireworks on Independence day! Another cool place/destination in the city to take pics and/or hang with friends. This location offers some great views of the Delaware river.
Nice park under the Ben Franklin bridge. Good for outdoor yoga and relax
Best spot in the city to capture a beautiful sunrise.... either on film or in your heart. Quiet and peaceful with the occasional jogger. Still a hidden jem. Clean, very safe feeling. Great job Philly.
I know during the warm months this will be beautiful
Great area for events and a nice farmers market. Flee markets pop up here and there. Right on the water front, relax in one of the hammocks and listen to a local artist jamming away
On a nice warm morning, its a great place for a stroll to get your day off on the right foot. I went for morning yoga on a weekend and I liked how the space can really accommodate for a group fitness activity. There is plenty of open space at the end of pier to lay our yoga mats. There is also a paved walking space lined with trees and ample seating for others who simply want to take a stroll through the pier. The landing juts out a little into the water, so you can spend a decent amount of time just enjoying the breeze and good company. There is mostly street parking in the area so the earlier you get there, the better. However, there are some surface lots and garages about a block away. Will definitely try to come back for more activities as the festival season starts up!
Just an awesome place to check out during the day or evening...they even host yoga classes during the day!
Yoga on the Pier is a great experience. Its all free to the public (tips are appreciated). Its a beautiful place to practice.
Just left there. My fav spot in the city
Very pretty, the Coast Guard sailed by that was cool
Calm and relaxing with great riverfront views
Great viewa
Me and my dia really enjoyed Race Street Pier its very beautiful
Peaceful urban oasis. Great view of Camden and the Ben Franklin Bridge. Worth a romantic stroll, picnic, or to watch the dusk or dawn.
Great place to seat and relax
An awesome spot to hang out in Old City. Right under the Ben Franklin Bridge, and therefore can be slightly noisy when a train goes by, but other than that its peaceful and quiet. Also, usually much less crowded than Penns Landing.
I love this pier, me and my boo took our first photo there. Also my grandchildren love the Ghost Ship.
This park has really matured the past few years. With trees coming of age it gives a whole new feel. The nightlife and variety of folks using this pier speak volumes to the diversity of the city. Well done!
Great view, nice small park
Nice view of the Ben Franklin bridge
Beautiful view This is where I like to end my runs
Very nice, serene and peaceful!
Beautiful place! And is a very doable walk from major attractions in the city! Go check it out!
Cool relaxed spot with views of the bridge and river. Can get crowded on the weekend.
It is a very charming place where you can walk and spend time with specials ones while you enjoy beautiful sights.
This is my favorite spot in the city to sit and ponder stuff. Also a great place to watch the sunrise. There are parking meters on Columbus Blvd right by the pier which aren’t too busy during the day which lets you park pretty close without circling blocks looking for a spot...evenings and weekends are a different story though. If you like to sit quietly by yourself with a view, this is the spot for you!
Race Street Pier is an extremely beautiful pier which has been remodeled to offer people to be able to walk out towards the water, sit down on benches, and enjoy the views of the Delaware River and Benjamin Franklin Bridge. This pier is a Pokemon Go hotspot
The view is amazing, especially during sunrise! And its the best place for open air yoga classes)
Ever improving Philly waterfront adding social, recreational activities venues as well as permanent and rental residences.
Amazing views of the Ben Franklin Bridge, just a beautiful outdoor spot
A Beautiful place to chill with your special someone. Park benches, trees, night lighting, and bleachers on the river shore to watch the river traffic. Great Views!
This pier is a great Philadelphia landmark and park. Super great spot to relax, enjoy coffee, hangout, take photos, or run/walk. There are so many incredible views here and the breeze from the river is perfect. I love bringing friends here or coming to just check out the pier. I did yoga on the pier here for the first time last week and that was fantastic as well! I cannot think of a better spot to exercise or do community yoga
Love being in Philly. This is a nice place to sit along the river and grab a drink or bit to eat.
Well it is a lovely spot to catch the sun rise
One of the favorite places to visit while in Philadelphia. Great views.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEYWent to my good friends wedding this past weekend here and the people who run this are the absolute worst. The bride and groom paid to have the pier reserved and roped off and monitored by a security guard. But when we got there were people walking all over it, there were people walking through the ceremony, and interrupting our photos. They have also ignored every email and phone call and have refused to explain or even respond to their calls. Clearly they realize they messed up but refuse to take responsibility. There was even another wedding lined up after us and they were being ignored too.Dont bother wasting your time or money with this place.
Great place to go hangout by the water and see the Delaware River and the Been Franklin Bridge. Sometimes they have flea markets and other vendors in the area. Definitely nice to go to when the suns out!
My kids really enjoyed the pier and the work spaces were near to look at.
I always enjoy going for a walk around there.
This is a pleasant Park something to check out if you need to walk your dog and right near / under the Ben Franklin bridge. its not my favorite Park which is why I give it 4 stars and it is also not as large as some of the other parks nearby but it is definitely nice to have something in this area that isnt the busy harbor Park.
Great place to take a walk nice views ships lots of things to see parks in a hammock to relax
Very chilled for an afternoon drink and snack, then after sunset gorgeous light projection of the ghost ship.
Took our engagement pic there. Beautiful place and very busy park. Will be back for part 2 of photo shoot in a different area of park..
Amazing view, Beautiful place and very busy park. Really cool place to walk, especially on summer nights.
Found a nice pop up beer garden with seats here on the weekend.
Just the nicest place to take in the river, the bridge and a view of NJ in all of Philadelphia. The pier itself is wonderfully designed for strolling and spending some quiet time. Plus its programmed a lot in the summer months with yoga and other fun activities!
