Very enjoyable laid back park. A nice amount of picnic tables, open spaces and trees along, a playground, along with a community garden. It made for a great spot to enjoy takeout from a local eatery.
To think that this was once an epa cleanup site. Its an excellent park. Fun for kids, fun for dogs, fun for all.
Very nice park. Top notch playground spaces. A1 slides and rickety bridge!
Awesome park! Clean, tidy and big enough to keep social distancing. However, cant really enjoy the space due to the Asian Tiger Mosquitoes. Theyre all over you once you sit down
Spacious, shady, with plenty of picnic tables. Bathroom is PIN-locked for community donors only.
So nice to have a park in the middle of the city. It has a small kids playground, benches, tables, neighborhood garden, and a stage for performances. They often hold craft fairs here in the summertime. The park is well kept and I rarely see trash floating around. Nice little spot to hang out.
I highly suggested this spot for my client to shoot her photos for her song cover. I know that its been a while since I visited the place, but my goodness it was summer and in the summer I thought that a place like this would stay high maintenance. Bad idea. The grass and the gardens needed trimming. That once upon a time lovely arch walkway needs a big touch up. I shot a music video there once and it was beautiful, this time around I was super disappointed. But listen, I wont be so negative because honestly when the place is well taken care of, its beautiful. They have grills already installed into the ground along one of the pathways, beautiful gardens with a variety of flowers, lots of small trees for great shade. If you love outdoor performances, they have a nice sized stage for performing and I believe they have outlets along the stage and an info board where locals post up and coming events or anything thats new and for the public. Overall this is a pretty cool place. Ive included 3 photos which are watermarked on my photography page, but these are before the edits to see more interesting photos from me follow my IG photography page @cjones_2020_photography (!)
The park is nice but it could be different parts for the dogs and the children. It could use some up dates too..
Liberty Lands is a small little park in the heart of NoLibs. It has a few tables for a quick bite to eat and the ability to reserve it, judging by some of the signage. Ive definitely attended a few events there that were perfect for the space. Definitely worth a visit if youre in the area and want to enjoy the weather.
Its a relatively small park. There are about 6 benches, a playground, and an open grassy area. People are free to set up their hammocks and walk their dogs.
Great pocket park in NoLibs. Fun for families with a nice play area. Good destination spot for picnics and outdoor activities and it even has a community garden.
Nice little neighborhood park! Has both a baby/toddler play area, as well as an older kid playground and swings. Whole park is mulch/grass. Large field and several picnic benches. No public bathroom though.
We did this. The neighbors believed we could and we did. This is what happens when a couple people put their heads together, ask folks to pitch in and add a lot of sweat equity. Its a great asset to the community. A few original volunteers still live nearby to see the change that 1 park can make.
Gem of a park in Northern Liberties. It is privately maintained by the NLNA. You can rent the picnic tables for parties for a small price, and also subscribe to get the bathroom code for a yearly donation. BBQ grilling, alcohol and dogs on leashes are permitted. My kids love this place, they think it has the best climbing trees around!
Nice clean park with multiple areas for gatherings. The tables are spaced far enough apart that youre not on top of the other parties. As is the case anywhere in Northern Liberties, parking is horrible, so it cant get 5 stars. I normally wouldnt base parking on the parks rating, but when you have a family and you need to drive around for 20 min, its hard for that to not be a factor.
Had a fun time there she begged to go back everybday
My favorite park in Northern Liberties
A beautiful dog-friendly space in the heart of Northern Liberties. I would recommend it as a place for dog owners to get together and meet one another!
Small park with a community garden nearby. Overall its clean and people distanced and wore masks. The parking around is hard.
My wife and her dog love this its a morning have to do-do..l o l
What a lovely garden/playground/ picnic area/Green space. My grandchildren love it there and now, so do we. Love the veggie gardens . Go Philly!
Small community, those who lived nearby turned the abandoned lot into a lovely oasis,
Great little park to spend time with and extremely family friendly as there is even an outdoor playground. They have a community garden to which people are contributing on a regular basis! There is truly love being shown to the garden and this park. They have a wide grassy area and a stage that gets used for local events occasionally
This is a great community maintained park. I would love to rent a garden plot there
Loved it.
Nice park, clean for a park. The port a potties could be cleaner with better lighting
Nice family park with picnic areas and places to explore. Reserve before larger gathering.
A gorgeous private park with great equipment for young children. The landscaping took a lot of thought and theres always something blooming. They have a lovely walk around garden my young boys like to roam around and catch butterflies in. The park is kind of close to the road so I wouldnt recommend letting your children play without supervision of some kind.
Best fan-made park ever!
Beautiful little hidden gem of land nestled in the Northern Liberties section of Philly for kids and adults alike to play, relax, meet and spend some time looking at nature and people watch. Great little neighborhood park. I applaud those that take care of it. Thank you.
Its just a beautiful place in the city to get some green time!
Great park for relaxing great events all the time..
Super fun playground in a friendly neighborhood!
My favorite dog park in the city as of now. Its spacious and doesnt usually have too many dogs there. Seems like its well kept and they have good shade too.
A lovely respite in a rapidly overcrowding neighborhood.
I love this place its awesome its like so many different things and one area It has a Garden a stage a picnic area people doing lots of things having fun its just awesome t people are cool from young people to old people everybody together their there are open areas for the people who love Sun playgrounds for kids everything just the best
Its a nice place to visit on an average day, especially if you have a dog. But other than that, you can sit and have lunch, read, surf on your computer or just have a peace of mind from the hustle and bustle of the day.
Nice had a great ti.e with my grandson
May sit here and have great conversation in good conpany.
Cool place to bring the dog...
Great neighborhood park with place for bbq
Hipsters walking dogs. Toddlers with a higher net worth than Ill ever have. I love this park. A true oasis in the middle of the city.
Its a nice place to have a picnic
I LOVE this park. Its wild and curated all at the same time. You can tell it is neighborhood owned because it has a different feel - more rustic, more communal, unique. Theres plenty of the normal park equipment for kids plus some homespun things too. Theres wildlife and open space all around, plus lots of shade and log benches and angle parking all around. And they have port-o-pots with a code punch lock for neighbors to use. Really wish we had a park like this in my neighborhood. For now, Ill just have to visit. (And if anyone wants to share the potty code with me, thatd be awesome.)
Cool place to see .
My daughter loves this park. She says is different from the ones in north Philly because is clean and has lots of different play areas.
Great park and playground. Lots of opportunities to beat the heat under the shade of a tree. Awesome community gardens and lots of great green space for lounging or hanging with the kids.
A truly liberating experience
A very nice place to go!
Community owned park, great playground, open space and community garden. Clean and well maintained
Great little park for families, beautiful vegetable gardens, out door theater. In summer time theres movie nights at that park.
Perfect dog park. Largest in the area.
Great Park
Awesome park
A lovely little park with top notch dog watching
Trash overflows sometimes bc its all community ran. So if you go and have a pile of trash from a cookout or hang out, please take with you so its not sitting there! Dogs do get walked throigh so bring a blanket to sit down on. Weirdos lay in bikinis there some days and then workers on breaks sit around watching them. Its a little creepy. Overall a really nice well taken care of park and a lot of beautiful plants to walk around and check out! Love that the community cares for it.
Lovely park with a weekly farmer market (Saturday morning) in the summer and fall.
Nice small community park
This park is across form where i go for my FGC tournaments. Never spent any real time in the park, but the people who are always there seem to enjoy it.
Peaceful family/dog park. Good place to lay in the sun or picnic.
Just enough playground, just enough park. Just wish the swings didnt chronically have massive ditches under them!
Great local park with constant events. Even better is that youre allowed to have beer there!
Great inner city park. a real family feel in a big city
This park is such a gift to the community!
Cool park with lots of open space considering its location.
Family-friendly community owned private park in Northern Liberties, Philadelphia, PA, is the best place to take the grandchildren. Safe, lots of families and fun schedule of activities.
Great family friendly playground, grassy areas, dog friendly and beautiful!!! A little piece of paradise in the city!!!
Private park taken care of by the community. Great open space and plenty of local events during the year that really give it a community feeling.
I saw a Shakespeare in the Park event here with my dog. It was fantastic.
Great local park & gardens. A gem in Northern Liberties
An OK park to walk your dog and let your kids play. They will only stay interested for about 10 minutes, but a good way to waste a little bit of time
Love the park. Its next to a bakery and across is a store with dog treats for my pet
Awesome park, good for playing frisbee and eating lunch.
Gorgeous little park, playground, and garden. Picnic and kiddie playtime heaven.
Is a good Park to go with your animals and family
Love this park, and so does the dog
Great place, enjoy the grass and BYOB.
Cool little neighborhood owned (not public) park in the middle of Northern Liberties. Has playgrounds, bathrooms, picnic tables, and a small stage.
Excellent community run park with playgrounds, gardens, and open spaces.
