Pokémon GO it’s the best here
Chinatown is one of the best places in Center City Philadelphia to visit.Lots of restaurants, venders and gift shops. The arch is beautiful.
I love Chinatown! Its diverse in restaurants and the employees in most of the shops are welcoming.
The friendship Arch is a really interesting sight to see. Its surrounded by Chinatown thats great for Chinese food you dont need to travel to New York or the West coast. See if you can interpret the Chinese writing on the arch!
Nice a should see if visting here
Typical of any Chinatown. Too many people from China, the place is smell and dirty.
Beautiful place to visit good quality food in the area
Lots of great food in this area. If your looking for Asian groceries, this would be the place to visit in Philly.
Its very prettyI stayed at a hotel walking distance :)
This area definitely is not just Chinatown. It is Asian Town. There are all kind of Asian people living or having business here. If you are craving from Asian food, this place will definitely satisfy you!! There are restaurants, bakery, dessert shops, market & etc. A few blocks of yummy food~
This is a great spot to see Chinatown. Here you can see all the shops and wares that are available. The locals are friendly. The stores are welcomi g. They answer questions aboutitems. They direct you to stores that offer specific items. I enjoy going here.
As an active member of the 75 year old church in Chinatown, im commited to the Chinatown community...i hope you visit the Chinatown Arch and would suggest you walk along Arch St for community saftey...for as inn every community in Philadelphia, some streets have troubled outsiders walking them...Also Chinatown is as historic as Philadelphia, and is a mix of old and new generational Asian language mix...as old as the historic sign posted about the first laundry..fact check...and as new as the current generational bank language..holder of plastic...my eastern bank...they dont speak engligh, the speak Chinese....if you dont get it,..dont order food in english....JAMAICANNOWMOD...ill kill you later...GRH
Love sharing Philly Chinatown with my friends when they visit. They’re always amazed with the structure that straddles 10th and Arch. The beautiful and intricately made 40 foot tall 88 ton Chinatown Friendship Gate. I like to share its history. How it’s built in the Qing Dynasty style and was put together by a partnership of artisans and engineers from China. Also that the tiles are from Tianjin, Philadelphia’s sister city. It was completed in 1983/1984 and dedicated on January 31, 1984. It was repainted in 2008. It was the very first authentic Chinese Gate that was built in the United States by citizens of China.
Cant wait for the lunat new years banquets. Quite the experience, give them a call and make a reservation for the year of the pig
Good symbolic and well decorated town as well as this arch.
Chinatown is great for shopping, they have some of the best, fruit, furniture, fresh fish, etc..I love China Town
Beautiful Chinese Arch in Chinatown. Nice place to take pictures. Nice area.
Nice place. You can find cheap souvenirs and great asian food. Lattern festival was a highlight so visiting in June is definitely worth it.
I have been to quite a few Chinatowns and the size of this one is pretty good. It didnt smell bad either and was pretty clean from what I could tell.
Good eating adventures but never seem to understand why the streets stink all the time. It will be good to see Chinatown developed to be walk friendly experience.
It was cool and the first person I spoke to was the coolest, so helpful.
Good place to visit if you like fresh food and souvenirs.. Everything is cheap in this town, many asian restaurants, bakery stores and dim sum. Market st is about 3 blocks away from the town center, they have all type of outlets shopping stores.
The arch to Chinatown. Two block off Market on Tenth St. So many places to eat, or to do anything you want. Just another thing to do when your in Philly! So on that note 5 Stars

Exactly as depicted. Interesting environment and experience.
Pretty to look at, not much else
This gate looks so rich in depicting Chinese culture. Its a very good photo opportunity. This gate is the starting point of Chinatown in Philadelphia.
There is a Chinatown Friendship Arch(Dragon gate) in the town, which a every part of the United States. Here too. The China town begins around the Dragon Gate. In other words, Dragon Gate is the beginning and end of Chinatown.
Came up on google as showing I had visited it. I passed by but did not stop. Looks interesting.
Authentic taste chinese food..many varieties of Food and Favorite....Love it...I will recommend my friends and family..

This arch is the same at every chinatown. But why not collect them all.
I love going to Chinatown
Good food
Chinese restaurant
Chinatown in Philly is just plain fun. Some great restaurants, a unique (if rather cliche and trite) experience. People are usually very friendly and helpful. Right behind the Reading Market in down town Philadelphias Eastside, Chinatown, and its famous Friendship Arch gateway, has to be experienced.
So symbolic in Philadelphias Chinatown entrance
I love Chinatown. We go a couple times a month just to hang out. Arch itself needs a face lift.
Great place to visit. Its the entrance to Phiadelphias Chinatown!
Crowded and the area smelt like a dirty dumpster.
Overrated, dirty and the smell. Not even a good photo op. Waste of time.
Beautiful arch. Great food around here
