Gorgeous spot to go for a hike or sit and enjoy the river
Nice old mill house. Glen Fern is the former property of wealthy and influential miller Thomas Livezey that dates back to 1747. In its day, the sprawling farmstead at the edge of the Wissahickon Creek featured one of the largest mills in the colonies. Unfortunately, the mill itself was torn down after being purchased by the city of Philadelphia in 1868.Looks like the house is a private residence. I would have loved to have seen the inside.
Good hikes all around, but not much going on at the site itself
Great Wedding venue, beautiful building and view of the Delaware
Actually visited the area of park around this house. I in didnt think it was open to the public. Beautiful place, good location. Nice place to walk from or to.Do not park in this area! You will get a ticket.

Just beautiful!
Always lovely to admire mid-hike, Glen Fern is a beautiful historic site in the Wissahickon. The residents here are very kind, and always willing to help direct, advise, or offer trail recommendations to hikers.
Historical and awesome place to visit if you like history.Great Staff.
Since I am a nature lover, this place is so beautiful. There is an amazing setup of trails, from stone, to grass, to rock and even dirt throughout. Along the trails there is a restaurant and multiple lookouts. A must do!
Beautiful spot along the Wissahickon.

Craig, The resident and caretaker, gave us a tour of the first floor. Part of the house is from the 1690s. Quite impressive
