We are so grateful to the wildlife sanctuary for accepting a pelican with a broken wing we rescued during hurricane Sally. What a most precious resource for our community here in Pensacola. We are now donors to your cause. Thank you for being here and for all the wonderful work you do!
Very kind staff. Waited on us to choose 10 min before they closed. They waited patiently and assisted us in choosing as well as answered all our questions. Very satisfied with our new kitty. Sabel is precious!
Brought a turtle in that was hit in the road by someone and left to die, staff was very welcoming and compassionate.
Rescued a baby squirrel, that was in the middle of the road, to the sanctuary. The staff was very nice and professional, and quickly took her in to cared for her. Later heard from staff that a foster mom was coming to get her that day.I walked through the sanctuary after that, and enjoyed myself thoroughly. It struck me that it was very peaceful for the public, but even more so for the wildlife. The Pavillion was especially nice, and I got some great pictures of the wildlife in the pond.
I have taken 2 injured animals there now and they couldnt be more amazing! Both times I was told I could check up on the wild animal that I helped rescued and that was the best part! All of the animals are so loved and well cared for and the facility is so clean :-) Thank you guys for all that you do!
Very nice and informative aquarium. I would return.
What a wonderful animal refuge tucked away in a Pensacola neighborhood.
Most things were shut down. Couldnt see much. I like what theyre doing in rescuing animals. They only ask for a $3 donation. Being a non profit organization it is for a good cause to save the animals.
Little place. Nice place! Its a short visit, so just go. Very friendly!
This place is great! We found some baby birds and the sanctuary was able to take them in (2 years in a row).
They were so obliging when I had a baby squirrel that fell out of a tree.
They take in hurt animals or babies. When you drop off injuries WILDLIFE please donate or just donate they really need at this time. They also release the ones that can be back into the wild
Cute place to visit with the family.
We went to the zoo lights they display after Christmas. It was a great time and we learned a lot about the sanctuary. They also had snacks and hot cider to enjoy. We definitely want to go back during the day and see the animals.
Really cool place, its good to have a local group available to help animals. Much better than a zoo, I dont believe any animals are kept that would be able to be released
Brought a pigeon in that had fishing line wrapped around its legs. Staff were kind and caring both to the bird and to us. Nice place, people appear to truly love the animals.
They took in a couple of orphaned squirrels no questions asked
Wonderful place that takes in injured wildlife. 7 days a week
Great place they do wonderful work with injured wildlife.
I found this precious bird and they took great care to treat and release the bird all donations are for the care of our exotic animals please give and visit this Sanctuary
I love to bring food or items the animals need .
If you have injured wildlife that needs help, theyre the place to go
Very friendly and professional staff. Clean environment and family friendly atmosphere. We felt very fortunate to have such a great facility in our community to take care of our wildlife.
The workers were very caring and knowledgeable. I know that the baby bird that I dropped off will be well taken care of. I highly suggest bringing orphaned or injured wild animals to this place.
The staff are kind and thoughtful. They took in a fledgling blue jay that had been attacked by a cat and couldnt leave the ground anymore. Theyre good people that care.
I love this place. Good to see and learn for kids and adults. Picnic tables and benches are available. Great organization
They are doing their part to help wild life. Plus they always welcome us when we drop off the chimney sweeps that are born in our fireplace every year.
Beautiful place to meditate. There is a few benches and a nice walking path.
The wildlife sanctuary is great place to take to the kids or to see the local wildlife we have here in Pensacola. They have many birds on display such as Bald eagles, Turkey vultures, Owls, and much more. in addition the Wildlife sanctuary takes in orphaned or injured wildlife if you were to ever stumble upon a critter that was hurt. Overall a great to spend family time.
This is such an incredible sanctuary. If you go by please consider making a donation.
What an amazing place. They offer to rescue most animals people despise. I picked a baby skunk up from the road and they took it. TY Wildlife Sanctuary of NWF
Here on my sons field trip.Great way to see bald eagles and other birds of prey up close. The staff were informative and fun. Would reccomend.
Caring and beautiful sanctuary for our wildlife. Friendly and very pleasant experience.
Amazing facility with dedicated volunteers and workers. Non-profit with a great mission and all birds are non-releasable so its for a good cause. Great place to educate the family of wildlife and rehabilitation.
Lots of information about the bald eagles which was nice ..there is not a lot of animals there really...was all birds when I was there..but still nice anyway...saw a squirrel inside the eagles pen stealing nuts I think...A nice place to take your kids
My cat had gotten ahold of a small bird and he was all mauled and had a broken wing. I called them and they told me to bring him right away and they would take good care of him. The place was across town but it was beautiful! We didnt know there was an actual sanctuary there! You can walk all around and behind the building and see all the endangered birds and even a lovely lake with tons of fish and seagulls. I even pet some possum toes while I was there it was a nice unexpected experience! They took the small bird in and Im sure have repaired him since.
It was closed. We didnt know until we got there.
Very nice people. And the best part is that they really care
Interesting selection of birds of pray and other species.
Great place to take kids & learn about pur amazing wildlife!!
This is a wonderful place & wonderful staff. Ive took about 5 hummingbird moths to them just in 1 month & they have NEVER TURNED ME AWAY!!! If you do go to this place PLEASE DONATE MONEY. ANYTHING HELPS
I saved a 1 week old baby squirrel & took her to this place. My cat brought her in through my doggie door. The baby squirrels ear was injured. I took care of her through the night. Cleaned her wound & gave her a little drop of homemade Pedialyte. I kept her wrapped up in a little blanket/cloth with thick socks on the bottom for extra Cushing in a little box on a heating pad. She was warm & she slept the whole time. The wildlife sanctuary took her & theyre going to nurse her back to health. I donated $20 for helping take care of her. I can call & check on her progression. I can volunteer if I wanted to see her again. The worker Skyler was really nice with all the questions I had for them. I never knew this place was here. It is really cool.
A beautifully run and compassionate organization! Go and support!
Went for an open house. Had a great time! Lots to see, great educators about the wildlife and fun activities for the kids. We really enjoyed this event.

If you enjoy seeing wildlife that has been rescued and is being rehabbed for release, you will enjoy a visit to this sanctuary. You will be amazed by this facility which is in the middle of town. Dedicated volunteers have built this site into a visit worthy destination. I recommend it to anyone interested in helping wildlife.
This place really does a great job of helping
You can tell the people who work here really do care. What more can you ask for?
What a great place! They take in all these rescued animals and rehabilitate them to release into the wild.
I have rescued and transported many migratory birds and raptors to the wildlife sanctuary over the last two decades. They are very good at what they do. They are wonderful asset to the Pensacola area and all the wild, non-human community members... シ
They do such great work there. And so nice.
We took a bird that was hurt there. They took it in right away and started caring for it. My aunt is a firm believer in helping animals. She gave them a donation to assist them in helping other wildlife. Very kind and compassionate people!
They have an impressive variety of animals, birds specifically. My son had an absolute blast feeding the pelicans when we went foe wildfest. They are a wonderful group of people with a good mission.
