This is one of the busiest and most crowded beaches in Perdido. The beach itself is beautiful. There are plenty of facilities. Overnight camping is an option within the State Park. It is more $$ than other locations in Perdido BUT it is a 7 day pass. They only accept yearly passes or credit/debit, no cash.

Wonderful beach, its worth the entrance fee. Get there early and enjoy the views. It can get crowded near the parking lot. Clean changing estrooms, lots of parking. Not too far to the water. Condos to the west, but miles of pristine beaches to the east.

The area is beautiful and far less populated than other public beaches. Lots of birds and dolphin seen. Fisherman were successful while we were there. The area by the pavilion has a lifeguard. There are also outdoor showers, public restrooms. This area has parking lots. The more remote areas have only limited roadside parking. This is my favorite beach to visit.

Beautiful unspoiled spot. Covered picnic pavilions, bathrooms, outdoor rinse-off stations, plenty of parking. Sunsets not as good as Pensacola Beach (blocked by high-rises), but still the beautiful snow-white beach for which Pensacola is famous.

Beautiful place really is lost as the name says it I like it is very quiet is not that noise of many people. It is perfect to meditate you have a lot of beach to go and when I say a lot, in reality it is a lot, it is perfect to camp at night with your family or maybe a romantic date. it is amazing how beautiful the sand, the sea and the sky can be seen in this place.

So beautiful, empty Monday morning, in the rain! Or guests played and laughed and enjoyed for 4 hours in the water. Climbed the sand hill, walked across to the other peninsula. Last time were were here it eased like Crab Island west. Way too crowded, lord rayos, dogs walking free on the beach. We found a good spot on the corner of the backside and moored, no beach. That worked well.

I live in West Pensacola about 18 minutes from Johnson Beach and go 6 days a week in the morning to walk and run. It’s a beautiful and quiet beach with new renovations going on with the pavilions and all ranger stations. There are usually two host families to care for the facilities and help keep the park clear of the very sparse litter. Sands are white and the wildlife are plenty! Enjoy and come get a year long pass! It’s worth every penny!

This is a National seashore that is absolutely beautiful. You do need a pass or pay a fee but it is well worth it. The long peaceful drive to and from the point has the Gulf & the beautiful beach on one side and the intercoastal waterway on the other. Theres lovely dunes everywhere and it is so peaceful and tranquil here that is a big break from the crowded and noisier beaches around.

This place is the perfect getaway to find secluded beach spots, but still right in there middle of it all. Its a long hike to get all the way to the end of it, but its worth it. Youll have more opportunity here to find shells, unique rocks, and the seals like to play out there. If you plan on going out bring plenty of water and essentials, it is a long walk, and walking in the sand only slows it down.

Nice spot. Not as crazy as Pensacola Beach even though the water isnt turquoise. Great for shore fishing. Decent parking and nice spots with BBQ grills and benches. Military get free entrance or after a specific time, so check their hours. The gates close at 8pm, so be sure to be out with your car by then!

A wonderful less crowded beach with miles of sugar white sand. The entrance fee has gone up BUT if you get an annual pass it definitely is worth it. Two very large Pavilions available to sit under or to reserve if your having a party, family get together, etc. Two grills also available to grill on ( bring charcoal). There are 2 males restrooms and 2 Female restrooms. Showers to rinse off also for use. Life guards are on staff during the season. No food or drinks available so bring your own. NO PETS on beach. An UNOFFICIAL clothing optional section located at the far end of the beach, where road ends, walk about 10 min. on sand. So far down not many people get down there so people shed down to birthday skin. Keep eye out for the ranger on their 4 wheelers for you will get a ticket if caught. ENJOY the awesome Johnson Beach.

Incredible beach I visit often, this is a State Park so there is a 20 dollar fee or you can get the yearly pass, check out Veteran discounts and free passes as well. This is a Sea Turtle nesting Sancuary as well so stay on the designated paths, there is nothing more disheartening then watching vacationers step over the ropes and walk through the nesting grounds because it saved them 20 ft. Please abide by the signs. The Rays, youngs Rays are present most mornings so be sure to do the sting ray shuffle while entering the water, they will swim away without hurting you. Being a photographer the morning sunrise is perfect from this location.

Love Johnson Beach. I live in Gulf Beach Heights, anytime I want to go to the beach I know I will have a clean and monitored place to be. The guard always being there is a huge part of the enjoyment, dont have to worry about thing usually delt with at a public beach. Although that comes at a premium, I pay $40 per year, which is an amazing deal, but I think it is $10 per entry for non-year round. So if youre going to be here more than a week it pays for itself quickly.
